I can import my first clip to the video library, but not the second clip. I tried dragging-dropping and using the "E" key, but only the first clip will show up in the library. I use IMovie 9.0.9 and OSX 10.8.5. with no problems until yesterday.
I can drag my first clip from the New Event window into the Project Library, but not the second. I can highlight the second clip in the New Event window, but it won't "drag". Thanks victoryhat. I learned some new things from this very clear tutorial. But it didn't answer my question about why the titles don't stay with the video when I export it.
He did mention something that might be a clue however. When he talked about importing a title he created as an image, he noted that he was careful to make the image the same size as the video he was adding it to: 1280 x 720. Since I took the video with an iPhone in the vertical position, my video image isn't the same size and orientation as the titles.
Maybe there is a way I should be setting the screen for this size??? I'll go back and play around. Meanwhile thanks for alerting me to Gary Rosenzweig's MacMost tutorials. Very clear. I'll look for more.

You can run iPhoto 9.2.3 with the system you currently have. It's available thru iLife 11 as Niel has already mentioned.

They are the same product.
The "full" is a traditional perpetual license. Install - register - activate - use.
Does not "call home" to validated that is a paid for install (the one time activation takes care of that).
Internet? Connectivity is needed in order to download and install updates.

The "subscription" license will require periodic internet connectivity. If I recall correctly all "subscription" applications must call home once a month.
That is how the application "knows" it is being paid for and is legit.
While within the call home periodicity connectivity is not required for usage of the application.
As with a "full" license you'll need connectivity to download/install application updates

I receive daily emails from the NY Times, which I read from my Ipad. Some of the emails will show all of the stories available, and some will only show a few lines in the body and the rest of the email is blank. Any ideas of what I need to do to fix this?
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

This has happened on several computers. I can download using video download helper with on problems until I attempt to download "Dishonorable Disclosures" on You Tube once a download attempt is made on that video download helper stops working for that video or any other video. Could this be a virus or malware? How do I fix download helper after this happens?

hi there , I have Ipad 2. just upgraded to OS 5.1 and now cant transfer any videos to it. videos already stored can be played but when i try to copy any new video, it says that the video cannot be played by Ipad.I have tried mp4, mov, m4v but nothing plays.
Log in to the Developer forum. You will find instructions on how to install the lastest beta. Your problem is the beta you have installed has expired. All of them did on October 5; you will find hundreds of threads discussing this. If you have a beta it is assumed that you will continue as a beta tester, so a simple update using iTunes will not work.
If you no longer want to be a beta tester install the GM 7.0.2 by restoring from iTunes using DFU mode. -

My guess the problem you are running into is the drive is formatted for a PC as NTFS. OS X can read files from NTFS however it cannot write to it. Check the formatting on the drive, if it's NTFS then it should be reformatted to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), you can use Disk Utility to do this.

The volume on my iPad 3 has gone. I've checked the mute button, tried restarting, resetting etc and nothing has changed. I can't hear the music, hear any sound from videos. Most times the video stops playing after a seconds. My iPad 3 is only 2 months ol.
If you have lost all sound and video is freezing on you, that ain't good. Your iPad is two months old so I would not hesitate to contact Apple at all. You are entitled to 90 days of phone support.

If you want to try a couple of things on your own, try quitting all apps and then reboot the iPad - not so much for the sound issue itself - but more as a general "start all over again" sort of approach. It might help with the video freezes.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you use headphones on occasion, you can try plugging and unplugging those as well and see if the sound comes back.
You could even try restoring the iPad to factory settings and then restore from a backup, but unless there is something totally hosed on the iPad, that should not be necessary with a two month old device - of course assuming that you didn't drop the iPad or do something accidental that could be causing the problems. -
Hi, My Lightroom CC is showing waiting for connection and the mobile sync is not working. I have tried deleteing lrsync data, disabling firewall, checked host file etc. Still no luck.
I had the same problem. It fixed itself when I opened Internet Explorer (I don't normally use it). I was opening Support Portal to get some support help, but I'm not sure if it was the page or simply opening IE that did the trick.
