I can insert images in gmail. However, I cannot insert a screen capture on one computer when I can on another. So I think its the way I have Firefox setup...but I don't know how to change it.
In gmail I enabled insert images. I can now copy/paste an image....but not a screen capture. I'm using the same process to capture the screen shot and paste as I do in Word. It works on one computer...but not another.
Move the cursor to the very top of the screen, maybe push up a bit. The main menubar should then appear. All the way to the right should be a bright blue icon - click it, and the Safari window should revert to 'normal' size.
Pressing Command-Control-F should accomplish the same thing.
Once it is back to normal size, click and hold on the top portion of the Safari window and drag to left or right to place it where you want it to be. Once you leave it there, the next time you open Safari it should open its window in normal size at that place.
If you need to re-size the window a bit, you can click-and-hold on the bottom-right corner of the window and drag to resize it.

Tap on the id in Settings > Store and log out of it and then log in with your id. But if there is any content on the iPad from his account then you are probably better off resetting back to factory defaults via Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings and starting 'as new' with it - content is tied to the id that bought/downloaded it so your account won't be able to download updates to any of his apps, and unless his account is authorised on your computer's iTunes and his content is on there then it will be deleted when you sync to it.

The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.

There is no "unlock code". If you legitimately unlocked your iPhone via ATT, you will get an email detaling the unlock process, which involves connecting to iTunes. Follow the directions in the email.
If you used one of those web sites that promise an magical "unlock code" you probably got scammed. -

I'm pretty experienced with this stuff so just take your time and carefully follow the instructions. You'll be working with tiny little screws that are easy to drop and/or lose. I suggest using magnetic tipped tools. There are a couple of screws in some tight areas that are a little difficult to remove.
Be particularly careful to check all the snap-on cablings when you reassemble. There is one you don't remove during installation that is near the top part of the optical drive and covered over. When I was tugging on the drive to remove it I apparently popped the cable under the cover. Turned out it was for the WiFi and BT. I had to disassemble the back cover and look hard for something I couldn't see. I just happened to press on the covered area where the cable connected and heard the snap of it reconnecting. If it weren't for that I would have never figured out why my WiFi and BT stopped working! -
How do I change the default apple ID that's displayed when buying or updating apps? It's currently defaulting to a no-longer-existing ID, and I don't know how to change it.
Any apps you purchased with the no-longer-existing ID will always have to be updated with the password to that account, you cannot merge account purchases.
To change to your new account go to Settings > Store > Apple ID: and put in the one you want to use. -

I rented a movie last night on my ipad but I am unable to download it on my ipad I have no space.. so I want to watch it on my laptop computer but do not know how to get the rented movie on it. I checked the itune store and they said I have it rented.. So I need help on what to do to download it on my computer so I can watch it any suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices) -

Being a novice with my BB curve I keep playing with it to learn and this morning I went into contacts and had the option of "personal or business"; I clicked on personal and now can't get to my contacts because there is nothing listed uder "personal" and I don't know how to change it back plus I must have saved the numbers to the phone because it says my sim is empty and I didn't keep records of my numbers OMG HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I managed to fix it this way:
Settings > Mail, etc - remove your iCloud account
Settings > iCloud - check iCloud account is removed
Settings > iCloud - add your account using the e-mail address you want to use (I wanted @me but was getting the .mac error because I set up my account in 2007 with a @mac address, so I added with @me address)
let it do its thing
Settings > iCloud > Account - my Apple ID shows as @mac but when I scroll down my 'Mail' shows as @me and I am able to send e-mails again!
I hope this helps you guys out. I think it would be great if Apple would allow people to merge their @me.com and @mac.com addresses into one of their choice to avoid confusion both for us and their servers! I also had iMessage trouble because of this. -
I used an account from my friend to download some apps. Because i forget my apple ID. Now I have my new apple ID but I don't know how to change it in my ipod touch 4G. Still the name of my friend is in the apps store. How to delate that name and change with my new apple account?

This is if you deleted not only the Mac App Store, but iTunes, Calendar, whatever came with the Mac (Apps that came already installed on the Mac), if you deleted one of those then you have to reinstall the Mac OS, Note: This one is for Mac OS X (Maverick) my version is 10.9.4, go to that link and follow the instructions if you have Mac OS X (Maverick). Other help: Common Mistake: If you delete the app from the dock then just go to finder and applications folder and drag the app back onto the dock(it was just deleted from the dock NOT your system/computer).
