I can no longer access My Yahoo Finance Portfolios.

I have had Yahoo personal finance portfolios for years. Now when I try to access those portfoilos from MyYahoo, I go the the login screen where I am asked to enter my password. I enter my password and press enter and ... then I am taken right back to the login screen. This seems to be an endless loop. I can still access my portfolios through Internet Explorer. I can use another computer and access my portfolios through Firefox. I have deleted all my Firefox cookies and that did not help. I have used the Firefox Safe Mode and that did not help. Everything else seems to be working. About the time this started happening, I was getting a message that a script was running and the question, "do you want to stop this script", to which I said yes. Can anyone help?

I do not have any problem connecting to these websites from IE. What is going on with firefox?

* what security software are you using?
* what is the '''error code''' shown under ''technical details'' on the error page?
in case the error code equals ''sec_error_unknown_issuer'', please attempt to add an exception on the bottom of the error page - don't add it for real, but inspect the certificate (see the screenshot attached for instructions):
* which '''issuer information''' does the certificate contain?

I can no longer access Yahoo from desktop icon; attempt to report this to Firefox fails. Help.

I have always been able to access Yahoo from my desktop icon. In the last few days, this has not worked 90% of the time (once in a while I can get through). I need to access it through my Verizon account. Why is this suddenly happening - for years I have been able to use the Yahoo icon.

What do you mean when you say you "can no longer access these sites?" Does that mean you can't connect to those sites in your web browser, or that they aren't showing up in iWeb?
If the latter, note that your iWeb data is all entirely stored in a hidden file. In the Finder, choose Go -> Go To Folder and paste the following path into the window that opens:
~/Library/Application Support/iWeb
In that folder, you will find a single file, called Domain. That's got all the data for all your iWeb sites. If that file is missing, or if it has become corrupt, you will need to restore it from an earlier backup.
As for replacing iWeb, either Sandvox or RapidWeaver should work. Which works best will depend on your own tastes. Note that neither is capable of fully importing iWeb sites, as those sites will have a lot of content that is copyrighted by Apple. Once you have created a rescue address, you cannot delete it, nor can you change it to the same address as used by your ID. There are numerous providers you can get additional email addresses from, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Google etc etc.

I can no longer access the web on my IPod Touch through my home wifi network.

I have an I Pod Touch with operating system 4.2.1. It has worked fine the past year plus. Suddenly, I can no longer access webpages on it. When try to load a website, looks like it is trying to open the page, but it never fully loads and times out. My I Pod indicates that it recognizes my wifi network and I have tried resetting both my I Pod and my router. Weirder yet, I can access my Yahoo email on my I Pod and if there is a website link embedded in an email message, i can open it and access the page that way. Any link on the web page opened through my email however does not work. My home computer, which is on the same wifi network, is working fine. The only thing that did occur recently was a power outage.
Please help - this is very frustrating.

Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

Time Capsule - can no longer access on MBP Leopard

For the past 6 or 7 weeks I can no longer access my Time Capsule from my MBP Leopard. However, I do not beleive this is a Time Capsule issue as I am still accessing (and backing up) successfully from a MBP running Snow Leopard. Note, the access and backup were running fine for over a year and suddenly just stopped working. I've done the basics like repair permissions, software update, checked everything. For soem reason, when I try to access, I can see the Time Capsule, I can connect until I get to Data then "mylaptop Sparse Bundle". When I choose that disk image backup - just continues for ever and ever with a dialog box that says "trying to connect" or something like that.
Any ideas appreciated ...

Yes, that's the partial, failed backup. Since it's incomplete, it won't appear in the "Star Wars" display, etc. Once Time Machine gets started, it will "recover" it, and convert it into a normal backup, with a new date & Time.
After that long without a backup, Time Machine will have a lot of work to do (including recovering the partial backup), so connect via Ethernet if at all possible. It will still take a while, but be 2-3 times faster than WIFI.

I used Overdrive and Adobe Digital Editions to access my county library in the past but can no longer access it.. I get an error message of E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY. Apparently I have lost authorization to the AdobeID server.

Why would there be a fix? YOU are having the problem. I'm not, no one I know is having the problem. No fix is needed.
Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Have you been through any, if not all of these troubleshooting steps yet?

The airco system gives an error:
Firefox cannot guarantee the safety of your data on 10.32.16.50 because it uses SSLv3, a broken security protocol.

The SAN management interface and vSphere Web Clients display an empty page. Not sure whether these also have problems due to SSLv3.
I understand you wanting to be cautious, but I seriously doubt I need to face an attack from our SAN. Please, at least give us an option to connect regardless.

Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.
