I can no longer find songs on itunes. Want to revert back and company not responding to my angry commentary. Please help.

Itunes latest version makes it impossible to find the obscure songs I want. Apple also appears to have removed the ability to sort according to different columns like popularity, artist, album, song length, etc. Please help me find a way to find the songs I'm looking for. I am a heavy purchaser of content thru itunes and have been since my second generation ipod purchase. I find the removal of the easy way to find new music exasperating. If this is driven by the labels, then you guys need to go back to them and demand a reversion to the old ways.

Update: After having problems playing audio and video using several different browsers and apps, I realized that the problem was probably not iTunes or Apple related. I rebooted several times, to no avail, but the last reboot inexplicably seemed to do the trick. Everything is working OK again, at least for now. Weird but I'll take it!

I followed instructions from Apple about going to Purchased and downloading them again, but ran into another problem. They are greyed on my Mac and they will not download again. It says to click on the iCloud beside them, but there is not one visible. iCloud is set up, at least I thought it was. I am sure there is a simple explanation, but I am missing it!

Can no longer queue songs in iTunes

I also have recently had the problem with the audio stuttering in iTunes. I've restored my PC a couple of times and reinstalled the latest version of both iTunes and QuickTime and currently it seems to have fixed the problem.
I now notice that I can no longer queue songs in iTunes. Previously I used the Party Shuffle option alot, but this has only one song listed (instead of the past 5 and next queued 15). If I play a song in the library and click on the >> button, the song just ends, without moving to the next song (doesn't matter whether shuffle is on or not). Any ideas on how to fix this this?

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If the largeness you are seeing is related to the Accessability Zoom function (a feature that allows you to zoom in on the screen for people with vision issues), you may find the following page helpful:

I can no longer play songs on iTunes using Win 8 PC

When I click to play a song from iTunes on my Windows 8 PC it just appears to hang. I can no longer preview songs from the iTunes Store either, no sound comes out and the bar stays on 0:00. This was working fine in the past, not sure what changed. Now I'm afraid to try and synch my iPod and iPhone to the PC since as of now these other devices are working fine. Help!

I use my time capsule for wifi station and back up. However suddely time machien can no longer find the time captule drive , used for back up...

Time machiene can no longer find the back up files on my time captule..
I have have manged to see the files via finder.
dleted the files, and also gave time captule a new name, and pasword.
All seemd fine but somehow the new back up could not be finished.
Repeated all the steps, but now had the computer hooked up to the time captule with a network kabel ( make it go quicker..)
Still no succes...
Seems somhowe acces to the time captule is difficult for the time machien software...

I have the IPOD Touch Generation 3. I can no longer sync songs from itunes. They said it is an Apple issue not Itunes since they are downloaded. How can I syn the new songs??

I have been given to itunes numerous times by Apple. ITUNES have referred me back to Apple as I may not have the current software on my IPOD TOUCH, model MC086LL. I have purchased/downloaded songs, but they will not sync to my IPOD. ITUNES again said this is an issue with the IPOD TOUCH software not them. Does anyone know how I can get this resolved??

Carolyn Samit, what are yo saying? He say he has a MC086LL at iOS 4,2. That is a 2G iPod. The software update comes with iOS 5 and the 2G can only go to iOS 4.2.1

Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Try syncing using the manual method if you have not yet tried that.

The latest I tunes upgrade has left me with absolutely no I tunes U. I have removed and reloaded it several times. I've gone back and loaded older versions which worked great.. Now.. NOTHING works!!
How in the world, with Windows 7 Professional do I once again be able to find I Tunes U? It doesn't even come up on a search other than an app !!!

I have 5 devices authorized to my itunes account. 2 of them crashed but I am unable to authorize my new pc. From what I can see it looks like I may have to "deauthorize all" and then re authorize my current devices? Please help!

No that is not correct.
Devices do not count toward the 5. Authorization is only for computers, not iphone/ipod/ipad/Apple tv.
You do not authorize or deauthorize devices at all.
If you have reached the limit of 5 authorized COMPUTERS, then deauthorize all and the authorize the active COMPUTERS.

Why can I no longer set the default page to something else? Every time I open Mozilla Firefox, it always reverts back to the Mozilla page. No matter how many times I do this, it always reverts.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

it was a little hard to read your post due to your grammar, but I need some more info on you in order to help.
First off, I need to know which Windows OS you are running? What antivirus and firewall programs are you running? Is iTunes and/or Quicktime installed on your PC?
Have you gone to Windows Website to download and install any new updates recently?

Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.

See this http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212, but if that doesn't help, the only other way to get past this is to restore the phone on the computer you normally sync with to your latest backup. This will remove the passcode.

Can no longer access songs on iTunes on Time Capsule

Not sure what's gone wrong here. A month ago, I moved my whole iTunes library (60GB) to my Time Capsule. Have been playing all my music fine since then. Till today. Suddenly, everything's gone haywire. Only a random fraction of the songs and podcasts now appear in the iTunes screen. The whole library is still there on the Time Capsule; it's just inaccessible.
I have tried to reconnect to the library several times by restarting iTunes and holding down Option. It seems to connect but I'm still only have a few songs.
Any ideas?

No, the Time Capsule is a long way from full. I have the 3TB version and am barely using 500 GB.
I also have the iTunes library backed up to a Lacie hard-drive just in case.
So no worries at all about losing songs.
My worry is about how to play the songs I actually have!
