Somehow i've gotten into firefox and cannot get out. I cannot use my other software. I hate firefox and want to stop it. I want to be able to get to my word, my folders and TO STOP FIREFOX. I can no longer can put my cursor in the corner and have options come up even to play games. I hate this. I have windows 8.1 I want to get to other softwares ON MY AND I MEAN MY COMPUTER NOT FIREFOX'S.
i WANT TO UNINSTALL FIREFOX IF THAT IS WHAT IT TAKES.

you can always Uninstall firefox.Simply Uninstalling should fix the problem.
Uninstall a desktop program

I then tried Icloud.com, can log in just fine but when it starts to load mail, a message comes up that says "There was a problem loading the application" and the report message says 'a possible network error or missing resources'. You can try to (re)install the current Firefox 17.0.1 release if it isn't working with the current Firefox 18 beta

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Have you failed to do this? not good.
You can transfer itunes purchases form an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
You can enter a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. you should get the option to merge.
You can import any pics taken with the ipod, and e-mail any pics synced to the ipod to yourself.
The ipod is not a storage/backup device. It simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which you sync.

I have windows vista and had an update of firefox last week and since then I can no longer get firefox to load on my desktop. I downloaded it again and still no luck at all. right now I'm using IE which I do not like at all. Can you help me?

I can no longer get into my WRT150N1.1 router any longer since I switched to Clear

I switched to Clear wireless a few weeks ago and I can no longer get into my router to change the settings. This is a bummer because I now no longer have a secure connection. 192.168.1.1 no longer accesses the router, and I checked my IP address and it is (for clear I assume) 192.168.15.3. So I tried using 192.168.15.1 and it took me to Motorola WIMX CPE, (which I am assuming is the Clear webpage)
I am on a Mac running Intel chip. Any help would be appreciated.

The trick to make this work is
hold down the reset button for about 30 seconds, then unplug the device, while you are still holding down the reset button.
leave unplugged for about 5 seconds, while you are still holding down the reset button.
plug the unit back in, while you are still holding down the reset button.
after about 5 seconds, let go off the reset button.
go to the webpage of the router.
Now you can try to access the setup page of your Router, i think this should work and you should be able to access the setup page of your router and able to make the changes on your Router.

The only thing my iTunes for PC will not display the column view of songs any more The only thing I have access to is the view that displays the album covers. I used the Help function, followed the procedure several times. When I click on the music icon, the icon flashes, but does not bring up a menu as shown in the "help" file.

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I would feel dreadful If I thought had caused you a problem. The warnings about Java are fully justified but providing you are communicating with a known source, and as I said, you disable it the moment you have finished, you should be safe.
It might also be worth asking your bank what problem they have and would it be the same if you were using Firefox, for example.
Like you, I am very security minded, in fact I won't even put my bank details on my Mac let alone run my account that way.

I experienced this same issue. To fix it-
Open Java Preferences (in the /Applications/Utilities folder.)
Under the General tab, check the box marked Enable applet plug-in and Web Start applications.
Restart Safari or whatever browser you are using to access Pogo.
