  • All of a sudden I can no longer print any web pages. I have tried the solutions offered on the web site to no avail. I have also tried reinstalling it. If i can't fix this I'll have to use IE instead, but that is not what I want. What do i do now?

When I click on the print icon or file-print, nothing happens at all.

Is your printer selected? <br />
Is '''Print to File''' selected, where the web page is being printed to a file and not being sent to your printer?

  • When I try to print from web page I get "printer not activated - error code 30", printer works on Internet Explorer

When I try to print from web page I get a dialogue box "Printer not activated - error code 30" followed by a dialogue box "An unknown error occurred while printing". The printer works on websites when I use Internet Explorer. Also, if I copy the web page and paste it into a Word document, I can print a copy. This issue just started this week; I have not encountered this problem prior to this week. Please advise.

What does that error message say?

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
    * Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
    * Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    * Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    * Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    * Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

The TIme Machine volume does not have that checkbox.
I think the issue is with your Finder...
Go to Finder "Go" menu hold the option key and choose Library. Then go to Preferences trash these files:
    com.apple.finder.plist
    com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
Then, restart, or log out and in again.
(You will have to reset a few finder prefs the way you like them.)

  • When I try to print from web page I get "printer not activated - error code 30", but I can copy text into Word document & printer works.

I am unable to print anything from an internet web page. I continually get "printer not activated, error code- 30" followed by "An unknown error occurred while printing". I can copy the material from the web page, place into a Word document and then print. This just started yesterday and I have no idea why. Would appreciate your advice!

  • Safari 4.0.3 can no longer open secure web page...

Our business uses the following on-line platform login page which we've used for years...
    https://trading.insigniafutures.com/
Since updating to Safari 4.0.3, we can no longer access this page. When we try, we get a blank white screen and then Safari downloads a file "trading.dll.html" to the desktop. This error occurs on all of our 7 Macs we have, from Mac Pros to Mac Books.
Now we are forced to use Firefox (which handles the web page with no problem) which we really don't care for. We prefer to use Safari.
Anyone know of a fix for this?
    TIA
    Joe

    HI,
    Open Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities).
Select Passwords on the left. Then on the right delete this file: com.trading.insigniafutures.com
Then from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences and select the AutoFill tab. Make sure usernames and passwords is selected.
Try accessing that site now. If that doesn't help then go here and try Safari Maintenance

  • Why can't I print a web page on my HP 1600 with FF4 but is works just fine with FF3?

For example a web page that shows a recipe. It won't print. I select print and nothing. Works just fine on Firefox 3

{Ctrl + P} or File > Print will bring up the "native print dialog" box.
Is your printer selected in the '''Printer - Name''' box at the top? <br />Is '''Print to File''' selected in the mid-point on the right-side of that dialog? (should not be check-marked)

  • Can no longer send a web page to someone's email address, want that ability back. How to fix?

Hello, I miss the little orange rectangle in the upper left corner of my mozilla firefox screens, now that I have the new version, from which I could click and it would drop a menu down with some selections, one being "share" and I could email a link for the page I was on in firefox, to someone in my email list. I use Thunderbird, by the way. Is there still a way to email links to web pages from mozilla? If not, is there a way to get the old firefox version back? Thank you much.<br>

    Hi Sarah,
Sorry to hear that feature got removed. Please see our [[Forum rules and Guidelines]] when posting. I've removed your personal information (e-mail and phone number) from your initial post.
You can actually add this back via the Customize window. Follow the steps below to get that back.
*Click [[Image:new fx menu]] > Customize
*On the left/middle section, you'll see '''E-mail link'''
*Drag that out of the Customize window whereever you want.

  • Can no longer print from Photoshop CS^ have upgraded drivers error message reads There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents."

I have upgraded my iMac to Yosemite but now my two Canon Printers no longer print from Photoshop CS6. I have upgraded the drivers. All other applications including Lightroom are fine. I am receiving an error message as follows:"There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." How can I get the OS to return a list of printers to Photoshop when Photoshop requests a list.

Have you printed to this printer from 10.10 before?  If so, check your connections.

  • Trying to print a web page results in Distiller Error

I'm trying to print the following web page to a PDF for a client
    http://unikavaev.com/price-list
however when I select "Adobe PDF" as the printer, and hit Print, it goes to save it, and isntead of creating the .pdf file, it just creates a log file with the following information:
    %%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
    X5A7A1893 not found, using Courier.
%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: xshow ]%%
    Stack:
    [100 117 75 0]
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
I've tried the variuos fixes I've seen in the forums, but none have worked. This did work previously on my old install, but just recently got a new build, so this is a fresh installation of Creative Cloud with Acrobat XI.

I just tried it using Firefox and Acrobat XI without any issues -- maybe the problem is related to the browser. Have you tried printing from a different one?

  • When using OS X yosemite 10.10.2 trying to access a web page I get sever error 403

When using OS X yosemite 10.10.2 and trying to access a web site I get the message server error 403 only with one site (loan application)

Web server error 403 = Forbidden - It's nothing to do with Yosemite nor Safari.  The web server may be having a problem.  Usually it's a permissions issue on the server side.  But one thing that can happen is that you have a bookmark that is pointing somewhere that is not allowed.  Try navigating to the page from the root of the server.  You might have to start at an earlier authentication page then navigate to the "loan application" page.  It's possible you bookmarked a page that requires authentication and the web server loan application software was not written in a friendly manner to redirect you back to a login page.  Also try clearing your cache and cookies.  Safari menu -> Clear History and Website Data.  You might have an old cookie that needs to be deleted.
