I can no longer print any document in PDF format. Not sure why

I can no longer print any document in PDF format. Not sure why? When I try to print, the document saves to my hard drive as a PDF and will not allow me to print? Never had this issue before. Any thoughts?

Print to file is in the main print dialog (on Acrobat 9.x) as opposed to under Advanced

    Without the iPad connected, open up iTunes on your computer.  Go to iTunes/Preferences/Devices and delete the backups that you're absolutely certain do not have the documents.  Refer to figure below.
    iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "NO" to creating a backup.  (You don't want to create a new backup that does not have the docs.)  You will then be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad.  This time, say "yes."
    Repeat all of the above as required until you get the docs.

  • Print BDS document(in PDF format) from SAP R/3

    Hello ,
    I have a requirement to print BDS document(in PDF format) from SAP R/3 without user interaction.
    In simple way, if I execute the program - PDF document will get printed on local default printer.
    Please help me if anybody worked on similar requirement.
    Thank you very much,
    Liliya

    Hi Liliya,
    First you should create a smartform for BDS  Layout and give output parameter like this..
      wa_param-langu     = sy-langu.
      wa_param-no_dialog = 'X'.
      wa_param-getotf = 'X'.
      wa_param-DEVICE = '     '.                               " (here you can give the path of your printer)
      lv_output_options-tdnewid = 'X'.                      "Print parameters,
      lv_output_options-tddelete = space.                "Print parameters,
      lv_output_options-tdnoprev    = 'X' .
       lv_output_options-TDIMMED    = 'X' .               " it will give the immediate output of form in given output device
    I hope it will help you.....
    Enjoy...

  • As of yesterday, I can no longer print ANY pdf's.

    Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. Have had adobe reader on for almost a year. Can print everything else. Nothing shows up in the que (tried 2 diff printers and a bullzip pdf printer), R&R adobe XI, performed update. No windows updates were performed. Scanned for viruses ? parasites - system clean, even looked for root kit -none. Just stopped working today (tried rebooting too)

    First of all, there is no need to put the entire text of your post into the title of your thread.
    Next, does your daughter have an iPhone? Do her friends have iPhones? If the answer to both questions is "yes", then it is possible she is not texting them, but using iMessage to communicate with them. iMessages will not show up in the texting traffic on a line as they are not texts, but messages sent thru Apple's servers.
    For all "texts" to show up in the texting activity of an iPhone, you must disable iMessage on the device. Any messages sent as iMessages(blue bubbles around the text) on an iPhone will not show up in any texting activity.

  • All of a sudden I can no longer print any web pages. I have tried the solutions offered on the web site to no avail. I have also tried reinstalling it. If i can't fix this I'll have to use IE instead, but that is not what I want. What do i do now?

    When I click on the print icon or file-print, nothing happens at all.

    Is your printer selected? <br />
    Is '''Print to File''' selected, where the web page is being printed to a file and not being sent to your printer?
    See the screenshot below.

  • Can I convert an ePub document to pdf format and vice versa?  If so, how?

    I would like to publish my book in both pdf and ePub formats.  If I create the book in one of these formats, can I convert the finished product to the other?  If so, how do I do that?

    It doesn't work to convert between PDF and EPUB, or back. Start with the same InDesign file and export separately to PDF and to EPUB.

  • Trying to print word document in postsript format it gives invalid flavor

    I want to print word document in PDF format or post script format.I have installed PDF writter .This gives exception -invalid Flavor
    Please help me how shall i correct this
    import java.io.*;
    import javax.print.*;
    import javax.print.attribute.*;
    import javax.print.attribute.standard.*;
    import javax.print.event.*;
    public class PrintPage {
    public PrintPage() {

    try {
    // Open the image file
    InputStream is = new BufferedInputStream(new FileInputStream("E:/a.doc"));
    // Find the default service
    DocFlavor flavor = DocFlavor.INPUT_STREAM.POSTSCRIPT;
    PrintService service = PrintServiceLookup.lookupDefaultPrintService();
    // Create the print job
    DocPrintJob job = service.createPrintJob();
    Doc doc = new SimpleDoc(is, flavor, null);
    // Monitor print job events; for the implementation of PrintJobWatcher,
    // see e706 Determining When a Print Job Has Finished
    // PrintJobWatcher pjDone = new PrintJobWatcher(job);

    is.close();
    } catch (PrintException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    } catch (IOException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    }

    This mean your printer did not support this DocFlavor.
    Try to find what DocFlavor your printer support.
    // Just check the default one
    PrintService service = PrintServiceLookup.lookupDefaultPrintService();
    DocFlavor[] flavors = service.getSupportedDocFlavors();
    for (int i = 0; i < flavors.length; i++) {
    System.out.println(flavors.toString());

    Did I miss something in the fine print? I installed Lion and and come to find out, I can no longer open any Word documents or Excel spreadsheets as they are no longer supported (apparently because they are PowerPC apps).  Seriously?!?!?!?!!   What are my alternatives?

    Hi Mary and Matthew
    You might find it helpful to "try before you buy" - there is a 30 day free trial offer for Office for Mac 2011, accessible from M's .com website.
    You may be able to use this period to open and resave your old documents in a format that enables you to switch instead to using Apple's iWorks apps moving forward.
    I initially intended to do something similar, but ended up buying Office as it provided an easier way (for me, at least) to continue working with years worth of old emails, letters, spreadsheets and other documents (from my PC days) without risking damage to their integrity, formatting, etc.

  • Can no longer print on any network printers or on printer wired to USB

    I changed the printer to "Select printer"  save as PDF
    since then i can no longer print to any printer on network
    also I tried to connect a printer direct to usb. still no luck.
    I have tried to update software
    I have tried to select different printer on network
    I believe the problem is in a setting that automatically changed when I selected "Save as PDF" as one of the printers.
    there are so many tabs and locations on this system I just don't know where to start

    First thing to try is go into your system preferences using the little apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Go to printers  an see if your printer is listed there. Go through the settings looking for something that would lock it to acting like a PDF exporter all the time. Sometimes the printer utility will have a "Print Test Page Option".
    Installing some software, like Adobe, will also install dummy printer drivers that show up as "PDF Printers" in the Printers listing. This could be set as the default printer, but shouldn't stop you from selecting a different printer at print time.
    If all else fails, you could try removing all he printers from your System Preferences, then reinstalling your current printer with default setups after restarting the computer. When it sees the "new" device it should start the install process like it did the first time. If you are not comfortable doing that, better to wait for better help or you could end up being worse off than you are now.
    I too print to PDF often by selecting the option at the bottom of the print page. But it doesn't lock into that mode. It prints to the printer by default.
    Good luck.

  • I can no longer print from my ipad to my hp airprint printer. Any ideas?

    I can no longer print from my ipad to my hp5510 printer. It was working fine last week but for some reason has stopped. Any ideas?

    Restart (power off/on) router, iPad and printer.

  • After installing latest OS update I can no longer print from my iPad to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer.  Any suggestions?

    After installing latest OS 5.1 update I can no longer print to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer?   Suggestions?

    Installing the new os may have tricked one of the three devices involved.  If it used to work, it will again.
    Reboot the printer.   Reboot the router.  On the pad, general, reset, reset network connections.
    Make sure all the devices are on the same wifi network.   Talk nice to it.

  • I've updated to the most recent version of iTunes and I can no longer see any of my old music on my mac.  All the music is still available on my ipad.  How can i download the music on my mac?

    I've updated to the most recent version of iTunes and I can no longer see any of my old music on my mac.  All the music is still available on my ipad.  How can i download the music on my mac?

    First, are you positive it is really not there?  Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
    If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup.  Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
    iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
    For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • Why can't I print a document from iphone5 to hp wireless printer?

    Why can't I print a document from iphone5 to hp wireless printer?

    Try the following steps.
    Power off the printer.
    Reset the phone by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.
    Power cycle your router. Disconnect it from power for about 30 seconds and then power it back on.
    Once it has completed the reboot, then power the printer back on and make sure it connects to the wi-fi network
    Open the content on the phone that you want to print and attempt printing it again.
    If that does not do it, then check to see if there is any newer firmware for the printer from HP.

  • I can no longer print PDF files that were scanned with the very same MX479 on Windows XP, SP3

    I can no longer print PDF files that were scanned with the very same MX479 All-in-One.
    I have an (obsolete) Windows XP, SP3 computer.  Obviously, no updates from Microsoft
    have occurred that might have impacted my Canon Pixma MX479.
    When I attempt to send 1 or more pages from a PDF file to the printer, I don't even get the
    Canon PIXMA popup that would allow me to cancel the print job.
    Yet the Print Queue icon appears in the lower right corner of my monitor.
    If I view the Print Queue, the print queue shows "spooling" and does nothing more.
    If I attempt to CANCEL the print job in the Print Queue, it simply changes to "deleting -
    spooling".
    I cannot cancel the print job that shows NOT RESPONDING via Task Manager, either.
    In fact, the only way the Print Queue icon disappears is if I totally reboot my computer!
    "Luckily", I can still print e-mails, Word documents, and even my downloaded PDF of my
    bank statement.
    So, I was thinking that it was *only* PIXMA'S OWN SCANNED PDFS that could not be
    printed ON THE SAME PIXMA 479.
    However, I have since realized that I also cannot print USPS Signature Proof of Delivery
    PDFs that I received from USPS via e-mail.
    So why can I print *some* PDF files, but not *all* PDF files, like I previously could do?
    THESE SCANS ARE OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS, SO I WILL LIKELY HAVE TO E-MAIL
    THE REQUISITE, PREVIOUSLY SCANNED PDFS TO FEDEX TO PAY FOR *THEM*
    TO PRINT THEM.
    NOTE: I *have* tried turning the PIXMA off, unplugging it, rebooting the computer, plugging
    the PIXM in and restarting the PIXMA - still no ability to print PIXMA-scanned PDFs.
    And, I find it very strange that e-mails, Word documents, and some other PDFs print with
    no problem "around" "NOT RESPONDING" PIXMA print jobs.
    I have owned Canon printers for years, including the MX420, and the MX340.

    There may be some security issues related to the USPS PDFs.

    I can't help with the scan/print problem. You seem to have done everything I would try.
    I don't know if maybe using a registry cleaner would help.
