I can no longer scroll with the button on my touch pad. Have tried everything on Firefox help and still can't scroll....HELP please.
I have just updated to the Firefox 4 Beta and from having no problems at all with the previous version I can now no longer scroll. I have reloaded my touch pad drivers and also been onto "about:config" and altered various things suggested by 'firefox help' and still no luck. The scroll button on the touch pad does still work as I can still scroll in Thunderbird and any of the other programs that I use, just not with Firefox any longer. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Many thanks.
Since today the scrolling started to work for me. Was there a fix auto installed? I havent updated anything that I know about.
I might have uninstall an old Java JRE, don't remember when I did it, could that have done it?

I just tried to update my iphone 4 to the 5.01. It said that my phone backed up and started update. i went on a run and came back and my phone is now stuck in recovery mode. I just uninstalled FireFox RC 2 and removed the data completely because I knew that I had sync and I can always get it back. But I can't seem to login so I tried to reset my password but I never get an email.
"We have emailed a reset code to the email address we have on file for you. Please use it within the next 6 hours, or it will become invalid."

I purchased microsoft office mac in 2004 and suddenly I get an error message. It won't launch. I click reopen and it does the same thing. I get a long message in the panel. It tells me it will send a report. I still can't access any microsoft item - word, excel, nothing works.

More possible bad news. If you had followed what fane_j had asked you to do you might have found out it wasn't microsoft's fault for your problem and wouldn't have had to spend $150. Because while you may have an Office that works, fane_j was not suggesting a solution but probing for a trojan (google "flashback trojan") that has been crashing powerpc code which is what Office 2004 is.
So if you do have the trojan, while you can run a version of Office, the trojan may still be in your system since installing a version of Office isn't going to remove it. So I'll make another request. Launch Terminal (in your Utilities folder) and copy/paste the following line into the terminal window and hit return:
defaults read ~/.MacOSX/environment
If you see anything other than a "does not exist" error message you almost certainly do have the trojan and post the results in this thread.
The choice is yours. You can ignore this and take the risk. Or do what has been requested. -

Security question keep saying they are wrong and I know they are right. I can't change them cuz when I try it tells me to answer the questions. I have tried everything changing my account and all and still can't get it can some one please help me out.
Go here and select "Reset your password." You will receive an email message with a link that bypasses the questions. You will then be able to select and answer the questions again.

I have an error when installing apps on my mac from the apple store. It says "return to the purchase page and try again"... I think it is something to do with the installation process itself. I have tried to clear apple store cache, restarted apple store from debug menu, double checked my apple id account and etc..but doesn't work anyway.
I'm having the same problem and went as far as to delete and reinstall the AppStore and still no dice.

When I went to adjust the brightness on my iphone, the screen went black. I have tried everything I can think of and have read online to try....resetting the phone, turning it off/on, charging the phone, and restoring the phone. I can see the "slide to unlock" page and the "enter passcode" page. When I enter the passcode, the screen goes dark again. I can't even answer calls. What should I do now?
If no change after restoring the iPhone as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.

When I try to print using Windows 2008 print server I have to use the generic print drivers supplied. If I use the OEM driver the printer locks up. I have tried a HP 4 plus and a Canon Copier.
A number of vendor drivers written for OS X cannot be used when connecting via SMB to a printer that is shared by Windows. This is due to limitations of the driver.
In some cases, if you were to enable the LPD Print Service in Windows, you can connect to the share using the same syntax as SMB but on the Mac you would use the LPD as the protocol.
If you can reply with the brand and model of printer you have then we may be able to provide more information. -

You say, you downloaded everything - did you download the Library upgrader? And did you install and run it? Was there any error message?
If your iPhoto library has been upgraded ny the upgrader, you should be able to upgrade it to your current iPhoto version by double clicking it to launch iPhoto on it. Have you tried that? What happens when you try?
One problem to check for - iPhoto may be unable to open your iPhoto library, if it is not on a dsk formatted MacOS X Extended (Journaled). Check the formatting of the drive with your iPhoto library.

G4 AGP can't turn on with the button in front
My G4 just fine in any operation except turnning on with the button in front, the only way to turn it on is unplug n plug it after few seconds, it will turn on once it was just plug in, need no press the button, reset everything PMU, OptionCommandRP, take out the battery from the logic + uplug overnite, still unchange, are there something that I miss to do, please help!
I don't think the glass-looking component you see is a fuse. It's probably a diode. Reverse the + & - leads from the multimeter on the "diode". Do you get any ohms?
You said you did the PMU reset, but did you follow Apple's instructions. See Mac PRAM, NVRAM, CUDA/PMU & Battery Tutorial There's also some other tips to try when a Mac doesn't startup.
