I can no longer see my task bar when I am in another program. How do I get it back?

Lost the menu bar too, but I fixed that. Still do not know how I did it. I want my task bar back so I can adjust volume and see the time. Only time i see it now is when I am on the desktop and all icons are showing.

As you can see from a brand-new virgin install of Firefox, no addons, no pre-existing profile, version 29 DOES put the menu bar on the taskbar. And Firefox, configured as I have it, on a system configured with High-Contrast colors (black in my case) turned on, Firefox is unthemeable.
But never mind, I solver this one myself. I booted into XP and used an un-updated Firefox to find a new addon named "Classic Theme Restorer". That did the trick. Mark this one as solved. But....
I wish developers (not just Firefox) who wish to fancy up their user interfaces would think about how it would affect the visually impaired. We use computers too.

I too was having the same problem However, I could access both the menu bar and the dock by hovering my mouse over them so it wasn't a huge problem but I prefered having it there anyway. I was not in full screen mode and I could still go into full screen mode if I wanted to. I found the easiest solution was to just quit safai and restart it, but it might not work for you considering you couldn't access you menu bar either way.
I found this article that allows you to hide/show the menu bar and the dock through TextEdit (didn't work for me) http://www.mactricksandtips.com/2009/07/hide-the-menubar-or-dock-in-specific-app s.html It is pretty old so it might not work for lion and a bit risky if you don't know what you're doing so I wouldn't really recommend doing it this way.
And KSheppard, I know it's not really any of my buisness, but the way to get answers to a question isn't by insulting others and being quick-tempered. Even if you feel like you were insulted first, don't try snapping at people who aren't obligated to help you. Honestly, it just makes everything easier if everybody is cooperative and polite.

Thanks, this was the clue I needed to figure it out.
From Settings you can pull up Control Center.
In Control Center you can enable "Access from within Apps" (also "Access from Lockscreen")
Now when I'm playing music, I can swipe up from the bottom and a little control center window slides up. Neat - this is new since my old iPod. On this window, the name of the current Bluetooth connection appears. Tap on that, and a list of connected Bluetooth items appears. I just tap on the one I want to connect to and I am now playing through the speakers I want.

The app may have been free to download, but did you then make any in-app purchases within it to unlock extra features ? If you didn't then you can contact iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
You can turn off in-app purchases on your device via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off'

Can no longer see my inbox or my other e-mail accounts

I have 3 e-mail accounts on my iphone 4....I've got my work e-mail, my gmail and my icloud mail. I used to be able to click on the Mail app and it would go straight into the list of mailboxes that I have. I could click on a mailbox and it would go straight into the Inbox of that mail account. But for some reason when I picked it up a little while ago and clicked on the mail app, it went straight into an e-mail from one of my mail accounts instead of to the screen that lists all of my mail accounts. It doesn't give me an option in the top left corner to go into the Inbox of that mail account anymore. The only thing it will let me do now is Edit this one e-mail or move it. The mail app says I have 4 new e-mails but I"m not able to check them since I can't get into the Inbox for that mail account because it keeps going straight into an e-mail instead with no option to back out of it. I don't know how to get it to go back into the main screen so I can choose which mail account I want to look at it. Can anyone help????

When I held down the mail app, I didn't get a minus sign. The apps just shook instead. But I powered off the phone and turned it back on and now it is working so maybe it was just stuck? Not sure what it was that fixed it but it appears to be working now. Thanks for the quick response!

Can no longer see an option for Exchange

A few weeks ago I successfully set up an Exchange email account on Mail.
Today, I tried to set up another Exchange account, but there is no longer that option - I only get IMAP or POP3 on the pop-up menu when I go through the setup procedure.
Can anyone help, please?

I have this same problem, but a little weirder. I have two computers, one at home and one at the office. At home (PowerMac G5 10.5.3), I just set up an exchange account with no problems (I had the "Exchange" option and followed the on screen directions), it worked perfectly. I synced my data to my .Mac account so that my account would precipitate to my other computer. I got to the office this morning (PowerMac G4 10.5.2) and reset all my .Mac information, pulling my mail accounts and other information from .Mac. When that was completed, I opened up Mail and looked for my Exchange account. It was there, but was having problems with the inbound server (it was referencing a different account's settings). I opened up the Account settings in Preferences, and the account was still recognized as an Exchange account, but the inbound, outbound, and Outlook Web Access servers were all filled with the incorrect information. Not sure if this was a system issue, I updated my office computer to 10.5.3 and restarted. Once updated, I again reset my Mail Accounts settings from .Mac. The issue was still present, so I decided to delete the account and recreate it. With the account deleted, I now no longer have the option to create an Exchange account, only IMAP and POP.
I still need to return home and see if it is still an option to create an Exchange account on my PMG5, but this is an unusual error.

Outlook 2010 on Exchange 2007 ~ Can no longer see Calendar in Folder List ~ Only viewable by right-clicking favorite icon and selecting 'Open in New Window'

Office 2010, Windows 7 64 bit, BB sync, everything has been fine since forever. All of a sudden between Saturday and today, *poof* I can't get the calendar view.
I have tried the switches, /resetfolder and all the rest, repair install Office, etc., no go.
I can log into my OWA view and calendar shows up there, but on the local system, when you clicl on Calendar, it shows My Calendars at the top, but there is no calendar. The only way to view it is to right click Calendar and choose 'Open in New Window'.
All my data is there, can add to it and all, but it is missing from the folder list, thereby making it very difficult to use.
I also created a new profile, connected to Exchange ONLY and it still will only show the calendar if you select 'Open in New Window Only'. I can post a screen shot if this allows.

I suggest you refer to the following steps to recreate the Calendar folder.
1. Switch Outlook to Online mode.
2. Start MFCMAPI and create a backup of the Calendar items
a. Open the Calendar folder by double clicking it.
b. Select all items (simple ctrl+a).
c. Copy all items into an empty folder.
d. Additionally you can create a backup using a PST file if you wish.
3. Delete the Calendar folder using MFCMAPI.
4. Close Outlook.
5.Recreate Windows Profile and Outlook Profile.
6. Start Outlook with “/resetfolders” switch, this will recreate the default Calendar folder.
7. Try to set permissions on the Calendar folder to see how it works with a fresh and empty folder.
8. Copy/Move the items back into the Calendar.
By the way, I don’t understand “the local system” what you said, it can view My calendars at top in Outlook or OWA ?
And it can’t view calendar list or the calendar content under My Calendar?

Can no longer see old or saved messages in iphone mail inbox

I updated my phones software yesterday upon request and now i can no longer see old or saved messages in my inbox. I can see the n ew ones when they arrive, and this problem is restricted only to the inbox as i can see messages in the junk and sent folders fine.
Hope someone can help!

First of all, there is no need to put the entire text of your post into the title of your thread.
Next, does your daughter have an iPhone? Do her friends have iPhones? If the answer to both questions is "yes", then it is possible she is not texting them, but using iMessage to communicate with them. iMessages will not show up in the texting traffic on a line as they are not texts, but messages sent thru Apple's servers.
For all "texts" to show up in the texting activity of an iPhone, you must disable iMessage on the device. Any messages sent as iMessages(blue bubbles around the text) on an iPhone will not show up in any texting activity.
