After installing the latest iTunes update, I can no longer sync my iPod Nano. Windows 7 says that there is no driver installed, whereas there was prior to the update. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit OS and the new iTunes version is 10.5.3.3. Thanks for your help.

You should still be able to sync you iPod. Your iPod just can be updated past iOS 4.2.1.

Address Book no longer syncs to iPod nano
I don't know whether this is an iTunes 10.5.2 problem or a Lion problem, but I recently found that iTunes is no longer syncing my address book to my 5G iPod nano. All I get is a zero-byte file with the current file creation time in the nano's Contacts folder. (I AM able to manually export a vcard file from my Address Book.app to the nano, and that is my current workaround.)

Why can I not sync my iPod Nano 3rd Gen to my iTunes 9.1.1?
My daughter mistakenly downloaded the latest iTunes version which does not work with my older iPod Nano 3rd gen. Before all this happened I was running version 9.1.1 which was working beautifully. After uninstalling the updated version and reinstalling the 9.1.1 version, I cannot restore nor sync my music to the iPod Nano. I would just be happy having things the way they were previously. Any tips??? Thanks.

Podcast smart playlists no longer syncing to iPod nano?
I've been a long-time iPod podcast listener, despite the obvious intent to push this product into oblivion. I am no longer seeing smart podcast playlists on my iPod. This is a HUGE bummer to me, as I listen to podcasts while I run. And I hate running with my iPhone.
Anyone else not seeing smart podcast playlists syncing to their iPod anymore?Here is the solution: After five hours of endless error messages and incomplete re-syncs, it all boiled down to this: Restore the iPod Touch via iTunes. Everything was first erased from the iPod but then everything- contents (photos, music and settings) were restored from iTunes perfectly. Finally now MobileMe is also on all my Apple products - including the heretofore frustrating iPod.
Hope someone can save themselves a lot of aggravation by trying this fix should the updates prove to be less the "seamless"!

When I run diagnostics, the iPod is not recognized. This occurs on both of my PCs, Desktop and Laptop. The device is a 4th Gen iPod. Always worked in the past until I updaetd iTunes. Anyone have this issue and solved it?
Disregard this... I found the issue. I have AirWatch MDM installed. For some reason, the restrictions blocked me from syncing videos. I don't know how that happened being that I am the Admin for the AirWatch MDM at my company - I made sure i allowed everything possible being that its configured for BYOD. I guess something with the update to 8.0.2 screwed with it somehow. It worked fine after uninstalling the AirWatch Profile and MDM.

I was syncing my ipod after adding some new things to my library and it told me that there wasn't enough space on my ipod, should it create a playlist and just sync that instead.
I clicked yes not really playing much attention, and then after looking at the playlist it was syncing realised that I didn't want it to do tat as some of my favourtie songs might not have ended up on my ipod, so I deleted the playlist. Now I can no longer sync my ipod at all as a message comes up saying something about it not being able to sync as not all playlists are present.

Here's one way around that. First, in itunes, work out what plylists you want to synch to the iPod and/or create additional playlists containg the material you want to sync to the iPod.
Now plug in the iPod. When it connects, in iTunes click on the Music tab for the iPod. Under "Sync Music" you will currently have "selected playlists" selected.
In the list of playlists beneath that, deselect the playlists that you deleted earlier, and select the playlists that you do want to sync to the iPod. Then click the "Apply" button. -

How is your iPod configured to sync content from your iTunes library? Any error messages during the sync process?
You may want to reset warnings on the device by right->clicking on it under Devices and choosing Reset Warnings. Then resync the iPod to see if any alerts appear.
Is this the same computer you normally sync the Nano with?

I am beginning to think it has something to do with the password that I changed, but I tried to change it back and nothing happens. Does anybody have any suggestions. I have been working on this for three hours and I can't figure it out? Apple is no help and it was their updates that messed the whole thing up.
