I can no longer use my phone for calling or texting. Help please?
Every time I send a text, a message pops up immediately saying; "Error". It also pops up instantly whenever I press retry. Another issue is when I try to call from the phone, it says; "Emergecy Calls Only". I know it's nothing to do with credit because I've tried calling the free Orange numbers (450, 453 etc.) and it still says the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.
This normally happens if your sim card or mobile is faulty or if there is an issue with the signal where you are.
have you tried turning the phone off, removing the battery and sim card, give the contacts a quick wipe with a lint free cloth and try again.
You could also try live chat, or an experienced member of the team will be around at some stage and my have another answer for you

Can no longer use CD/DVD for installing drivers with bootcamp?
So I was about to use bootcamp to install Windows 7 yesterday, but then I saw that I needed either a CD/DVD or a USB drive for the support software (already have a dvd with Windows 7). Instead I updated the OS and then planned to try again today after returning home with a blank CD. But now there is nothing in the description that says I can use a CD, only stuff about USB drives. I tried going through the process anyway, with a blank cd inserted, but I got a popup telling me to insert a USB drive. Am I going crazy or was this previously an option that has now been removed with the last update? I have found images online that mention CDs/DVDs, but the attached screenshot clearly does not mention it. If its of any relevance, I am on a Retina Macbook Pro, using an external dvd drive. Also I actually don't own a flash drive, and although they're pretty cheap these days it seems silly to have to buy one just for this.
Just download the Bootcamp drivers separately and then load them once you've installed Windows on the system. It's really the same steps, just when you do it yourself, it's not part of this wizard.

As of two days ago, the ability to print from my MacBookPro to the PSC 1600 Series vanished, indicating they do not have new software ready. I have tried HP and Apple but have not received any help. Can anyone help me to find whatever software that was either lost or not updated. My iMac did have an HP update.

Since updating can no longer use copy/paste for copying internet material into my Word documents
There was a recent update on Fox which I automatically downloaded. Now when I attempt to copy select material or articles I find online the usual copy/paste functions no longer work when I try to copy into already established or new Word documents
I have the same problem.
All of a sudden, I can't drag or cut&paste anything from the Character Viewer into my word documents.
I think it changed when I upgraded to Mavericks.
I get the circle with the line through it when I try.

Multiple selections for 'use my phone for calls' Jabber 9.2.4
Could someone look into this?
We have some users that are experiencing the following what shown in the screenshot.
Only the above option works and somehow the second selection (Mark Hattink) has no purpose.
I just can't figure out what's happening.
It's not happening to everyone who uses Jabber 9.2.4.
Note:
CUCM - 9.1.1.20000-5
Jabber for Windows 9.2.4
Only Cisco 8945 - dc-vel-8945-172 option works.. And the Cisco 8945 - Mark Hattink does not.
This is all on Windows 7.
Who knows this issue and can help me out.

I'm experiencing the same issue on our CUCM 9.1.2.10000-28 & CUP&IM 9.1.1.30000-3: I have a Jabber for Windows client v9.7 that should only show 1 hardware phone, but it shows 2 entries. I checked the above and still we have 2 entries (also after clearing the Jabber cache). Also I tried another Jabber for Windows version (v9.6), but it always pulls 2 hardware phones in it's config.
Have you managed to get this solved? We use Cisco 8945 phones where end users log on via Extension Mobility. I noticed in Dependancy Records that we have an entrie in Extension Mobility Dyncamic, which shouldn't be the case because no end user is logged on, but it shows it in Dependancy Records... A bug?? And when the end user logs on an IP Phone, then we have twice Extension Mobility Dynamic entries... Not good since only 1 device is in use via Extension Mobility (multiple logins are disabled via parameter).

Months of frustration - can no longer use my Droid Razr M for calls at home
I'm hoping that a Verizon customer support person will see this and contact me. As detailed below, because of cell reception issues in my neighborhood and especially at my house, I can no longer use my phone to make or receive calls in this area. I have been patient while working with customer support for several months, but my patience is at an end. If I can't get an immediate fix for this problem, then I request that the early termination fee waived.
I've attempted to work with Verizon customer support for the last many months regarding poor cell reception in my area of Durham, especially at home. I get excellent reception elsewhere. During calls, people frequently have problems hearing me (I'm tired of having to repeat myself so often) and calls are frequently dropped. There have been a few instances when a single conversation will be conducted over three or four separate calls because of drops. Walking around my house -- even trying to walk outside in hopes of getting a better signal -- makes the problem worse.
Here's the kicker: I've found a temporary solution in using a $10 Tracfone that gives me great reception. I've relied upon it for most calls at home over the last 6 weeks or so.
Since October, following different phone or web conversations with Verizon support and visits to local Verizon stores , I've had the Preferred Network Mode reset to LTE then later reset back to Global (neither change made a difference) I've replaced the SIM card (made no difference), I've rec'd a replacement phone (no difference). During the visit to the Verizon store about a half mile from my house to get a new SIM card, one of the sales associates warned that I wouldn't be able to determine right away whether it made a difference since reception in the neighborhood was so bad.
I most recently contacted customer support on Feb 8, I spoke with someone who reviewed the record of my calls and could see several drops. He encouraged me to use my Razr at home more often so that Verizon could have as much data as possible to troubleshoot the issue and asked that I call back in a week or two. .
So I've been using the Razr more often but to great frustration. I've had business calls drop several times back on Feb 12 & 13, and multiple drops again on Feb 25. Other calls did not drop but people would often interrupt me to say that I was breaking up or fading out, so I'd have to move around my house or go outside or come back inside until they could hear me more clearly again.
What makes this worse is I've had no luck getting back in touch with customer service the several times I've tried over the last 4 or 5 days. I've tried calling several times but end up hanging up after being on hold for several minutes and I've tried the Live Chat but always get the "all agents are busy" message. Have tried mornings mid day, evenings, but it makes no difference.
So if I can't get an immediate fix for this problem, I would request that the early termination fee (I'm just shy of 13 months into a 2-year contract) be waived in light of the frustrations and the long period over which I've tried to work with Verizon to find a solution but without success.I'm adding screen shots taken from this afternoon showing connection that varied from non-existent to 1X.

I updated my iphone 5 to ios 6.0.2. my wifi says its connected but doesn't work now. It doesn't matter what wifi network I connect to. It worked before updating my phone. I can no longer use facetime or use wifi at all. I'm not sure what to do to fix it.
I'm having similar issues with my phone. I got my first iPhone recently, only had an iPod touch gen4 for a little over a year. Updated to 6.0.2 when we got the phone (iPhone 5) a few days before Christmas. When I got home on the evening of January 11, my phone would not connect the router anymore. I was able to get it to connect after resetting the phone and the router, updating the router, and manually connecting. That laste for a few minutes and then wouldn't work anymore. I live in an area with very limited service, we have a network extender installed to help, and I am barely getting a 3G signal at times.
My wife's iPad 4, my touchiPod 4, and all of our laptops are working just fine on the router. When I dropped my kid off at school today, I noticed that I am not even seeing the school network anymore from the parking lot where before I got 3 or 4 bars and could connect to their wifi when I was there. Today my phone goes back and forth between seeing my home network but not connecting, to not even seeing the network at all even from the same room that the router is in.

Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, try this a few times if necessary. If still problem, you may have to just Restore your iPhone to get it working. In the future sync your iPhone with iTunes routinely and when it contains important data, iCloud when set correctly will do this for you continuously.

I had never heard of someone using the iPhone Number as the ID in the iMessages account in the Mac version.
i.e without adding an Apple ID
iMessages does allow iPhone numbers and mine lists mine.
I would try this.
Sign Out of the iMessages account and Quit Messages
On the iPhone in Settings > Messages remove the Apple ID
Set the iPhone to Airplane mode for a few minutes (to break with the Server)
On starting the phone up again check the iPhone Number is ticked for iMessages.
If it is add the Apple ID
On the Mac restart Messages
Add the Apple ID
At this point you should get a pop up or two saying the iPhone is using the Number and Apple ID.
Accept these and they get added to the Receive At list and Send From drop down.

I am running Lion 10.7.5, Adobe Photoshop CS6, scanning slides on my Epson V600 and can no longer use the scan application or the plug in for Photoshop. Should I revert back to leopard in my time machine to finish scanning my family slides?
In 10.7 there is not a twain that works with Photoshop for importing with all the options needed to scan transparencies. I noticed that when I was scanning in October 2012 I was still using CS6 so somehow I was managing to be able to use all the scan features.
They sell 2nd party software (VieScan and Silverscript)which I found to be just mimially OK and very hard to use.
I just want to scan like I used to.
Can I use time machine to go back to an earlier operating sysytem LEOPARD, and then do my scans and then save the photos and them go back to the LION system?
I spent 7 hours trying crazy solutions - downloading Windows CS2 Photoshop and then using a program so I could run it on the apple. Then I couldn't figure out how to put a plug in for the scanner in the stupid windows Photoshop program. Googgling the computer like a mad woman trying to ask questions. I am not giving up...
