EVEN WORSE, I reply on Powerpoint for my client presentations. This too crashes continously. What ever happened to TQM?
I have followed the advice to do an update via the HELP menu but I seem to be up to date.
Unfortunately, I have updates all THREE machines with the Mavericks "virus"
I am very dissapointed that Apple would let this happen.

Consider any one of these better alternatives that read and write their Microsoft equivalent file formats:
LibreOffice (donation-supported)
NeoOffice ($10 but older version is free if you can find it)
OpenOffice (completely free)
Numbers ($19.99)
Keynote ($19.99)
Pages ($19.99)
I use OpenOffice, Keynote, Numbers and Pages and have been completely Microsoft - free for years. Life is better without Microsoft.

since last update I am facing problems with my IMAC and airplay via apple tv to my HD TV screen. It is not working. Only audio but not video. I believe it has something to do with IMAC mirroring, which is not possible to select only expanded desktop. Airply on my TV is working with my IPAD, so it should be a problem with my IMAC only.

Problems with Bluetooth connections are generally traced back to the vehicle. If you search here in the forum you will find a number of posts with issues connecting with Honda vehicles. Try removing the phone from the vehicle's list of Bluetooth devices. Then try removing the vehicle from the iPhone's list of Bluetooth devices. Then place both devices back in discovery/pairing mode and try to connect them. You may need to take the device to the dealer to check for software updates.
Next, I understand it used to connect, however software updates for the iPhone will load the latest Bluetooth stack into the phone and vehicles do not always get updated as often. I have both of these touches. I updated both 3g and 4g to ios 4.2.1 and poof...no docking station support other than charging, no audio and no remote function. My av/cable works with the tv, and the headphone jack still outputs audio, just no auido through the Apple dock and hte remote is dead. I purchased the dock from the apple store last year and it was working with both ipod 3g and 4g grrrrr...
Is Apple now in the bug trade business?, trade one for another....
Anyone else have this problem?

Existing Apple ID is not longer working with Face Time and Message on the iPhone after iOS 6

After the IOS 6 update on my iPhone the Apple ID is not longer working with Face Time and Message. Each time I try to log in I receive the message that the password or the user is not right. But they are, because on all other devices and all other parts of the iPhone (iCloud, AppStore, iTunes) they are working. Other Apple IDs are working fine.
What's wrong? Any idea?

It sounds like you restored from an old back-up. Did you back-up just before your software update? It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. Same issue. Since last update (a few days ago), acces to itunes account failed very often.
- Music iTunes Match doesn't work anymore because it cannot log.
- Renting video often failed because it cannot "verify authorization".
I tried already several restart, reinitialize, restore... all without improvement.
PS: of course my apple account is working fine with other devices. This issue concerns only Apple TV.

I think I need an updated plug-in, but when I try to go to help-updates and download them, the message I get for all three (Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.5 update, Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Photoshop CS5, and Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update) is this: "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." I have tried shutting down and restarting the computer a few times over the course of several days, and have even tried updating my mac software. In short, no, you can't. An iPod formatted for Mac
can't be read by Windows, and a Windows Pod can't be
used by iTunes in Mac. You have to choose, or use
Linux.

IPhone no longer works with Pioneer AVIC-D3 car stereo after recent update

I've used my first gen iPhone with the iPod adapter/cable from my Pioneer AVIC-D3 since I first got it - and it's worked great. But after the recent update it doesn't work. I only get an "Error-11" message on the stereo screen when I plug the phone in. Anyone? This is really frustrating!

i have a zoom H4 that i am using as an interface at the moment. all was fine untill i updated my computer to 10.5.6 around christmass.
in my last post a few days ago someone said to update the H4 but it has the current drivers already (2.20)
The zoom is now only working as an out.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Notifications no longer work with iPhone 6 and iOS 8

i did a Restore from my iPhone 5, all Apps that I want Notifications from are set, I.e. The Associated Press, CNN , etc. but nothing but Mail Notification ever show up. How can I fix this?
