I can not find pages-numbers and other office doc after resetting my macbook air.
Even i can not find those prg at appstore/purchases.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Yes. Make sure you use the same Apple ID.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
If you can't re dowload the apps, launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer. Sign out of the iTunes store and try re downloading your apps from the App Store again.

I changed the default database(i.e. Cloudscape) to Oracle by following the doc

Can not access time machine backups. after transfer to new macbook pro

Irecently up graded to a new MacBook Pro. I baked up all my files on an external drive using time machine. Now when I try to retrive my files from the backups.backupdb folder I can not access may of my files. Message: "The folder “Music” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents."
I'm fairly certain I have a diffrent user name on my new machine but dont know what my old user name and password were (never really used them).
How can I access 3 years worth of work in this time machine backup?

Free Pages, Numbers, etc after 9/2013

Hello, I purchased 20 iPads before 9/2013 and have been in theprocess of deploying them throughout the last few months. I am having an issue where some of these ipads that I pull out of the box today will get the free iWork apps but others will not. I even have one that got the free iWork, but when I reset the ipad and tested my deploy over again, Pages, Numbers and Keynote will no longer download for free. From what I've found it's based on an activation date of 9/2013 whether or not you get the iWork items free, but does anyone know how that activation date is stored and if it can be reset? I'm at a loss for why it works sometimes and not others. This last time it showed up I hadn't even added an apple id.
Any help would be great. I've already tried the obvious reset options under Settings/General.

Interesting... I just tried going to webmail.eastlink.ca and my PlayBook browser shut down altogether...
But have you tried simply adding the Eastlink email account to your PlayBook? This doesn't address the issue, but is a way to access your email on your PlayBook.
I'm not sure what the specific issue may be... But it's likely that the browser has not been optimized for the PlayBook which is causing it to shut down the browser.

I'm fairly certain this is expected behavior if you have a CDMA carrier like Verizon or Sprint. The phone cannot handle being on a call and using data to receive messages or email.
Someone else may be able to further clarify.

My guess would be that either the application was purchased with a different Apple ID, or from the Apple Store of a different country.

Parent Controls will not allow Pages, Numbers or Motion to launch

I upgraded my kids computer to Yosemite and they can not launch Pages, Numbers or Motion. If I log on to the computer as an admin they launch fine. I have verified in Parent Controls that I have granted them access to those programs. Any suggestions? (os=10.10 (14A389)

I was able to 'always allow' access to those programs by entering my password, while they were logged in. Good luck, still having issues with time limits and being able to login to parental control from admin preferences..
