Greetings my name is Elizabeth and I was syncing my iphone giving an upgrade in itunes and now this is the message that tells me all the time.

Your iPone Could not ne activade Because the activation server is temporarly unavailabe. Try connecting your iPhone to iTune to activete it, or try again in a couple of minutes.
If This problen Persists, contact Apple Support at apple.com / support

Was the iPhone previously hacked/modified/jailbroken?
Do you have the app Cydia on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

Carphone warehouse does not sell unlocked phones. The phones they sell will only activate with a UK carrier and will lock to the UK carrier used to activate it. You can not use that phone on an Irish network. Return it and buy an unlocked phone directly from Apple or one intended for use on the network you intend to us in Ireland.

Yesterday, i Shift restore my iphone 5 (turn off Find My Iphone before).
When booting requice active iphone with my Apple ID and alert msg "EMAIL *** can not be used to unlock this iphone..."
About my apple id, a month ago i change primary Email and vefiry..
Now i can login to both appleid but can not ACTIVATE IPHONE..

This is symptomatic of a hacked phone that has been updated or restored. If that's the case, it is now a brick.

Disable your antivirus and firewall.
If that doesn't fix it either the phone was jailbroken or hacked, or the computer you are using was used to hack or jailbreak some other iDevice.

Yes, able to make a call to Apple Support but in the end still keep on going to try the Apple ID and Password.
And it seems like the iPhone ID in this device been locked

Probably locked. If true, only the carrier the iPhone is locked to can unlock it.

Was the phone hacked or jailbroken to use it with a different carrier than the one it was locked to? If it was then it is again locked to that carrier, and there is nothing you can do about it that can be discussed in an Apple hosted forum.

I'm having the same problem and absolutely NO ONE seems willing or able to help. The worst part is, I'm in Mexico now and don't have a second phone line from which to call Apple or AT&T. I basically have a $400 per month iBrick.
My original iPhone was working fine until a few days ago, but then stopped connecting to the local phone towers. I thought maybe the software had been corrupted, so I did a quick restore, which went fine. But then, when I connect to iTunes, it gets stuck on the "Activating Device" page. I've tried at least 100 times, and it never gets past "Activating Device."
It seems like an AT&T problem, but they keep telling me to call Apple, and I don't have a second phone line. Awesome service, all around.
Anyone have a clue about this? I suspect Apple and/or AT&T did something to stop supporting the original iPhone but without publicizing it. Activation used to be a 5-second process, but I'm on Day 3 with no activation.

Brand new Verizon Iphone 5 was working fine until I restored it to its factory settings. havent been able to activate it since than....errors when trying to activate over wifi: "server temporarily unavailable try again in few minutes", and "can not be activated at this time" , Can some one please help.
