I can not activate my iMessage by using the apple ID

Hello there,
I have a problem with my iphone4. I was trying to activate my iMessage by using the apple ID but it was impossible.
It says that the username or password is incorrectly, but when i use the same username and password for login in iTune (lets say) eveything is ok.
This is very strange.
If you know how to solve this situation, please let me know.

Sometimes the activation server is just not available for a short time. Trying again usually corrects this problem. But as Peter Gillespie suggests, if the iPhone you are trying to activate has ever been jailbroken, or the computer you are using to activate the phone has been used to jailbreak an iOS device then you will get the Activation Server not Available message.

Disable your antivirus and firewall.
If that doesn't fix it either the phone was jailbroken or hacked, or the computer you are using was used to hack or jailbreak some other iDevice.

IMac will not shut down or restart using the apple menu

I have an iMac running 10.7.3 that will not shut down or restart using the apple menu. The only way to get this machine to shut down is to hold down the on/off button on the back of the computer. This has been a problem for quite some time and may have started with Lion, but I’m not sure. Any help is appreciated.

Before you shut down, make sure you "quit" all open applications. Applications are running if you see the small blue reflection under the app's name in your Dock.
If necessary, you can force quit apps... several ways to do this. One, from your Apple menu > Force Quit or using the Activity Monitor located in /Applications/Utilities.
If it's not a question of open applications, try Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

I was having this problem and was able to fix it by going to system preferences and adding my @me email address as an additional apple id - then I signed on to facetime using that sign on info and it worked. Good luck.as

I can't activate Facetime or Messages on my iPad 2 using my apple id. It comes up with the message that my username or password is incorrect.
But I can login to the app store using the same username/password.
This problem is restricted to Facetime and Messages.
Does anybody have a solution for me?

Headline says a lot.
I bought a 2nd hand iPad 3.
During start it asked me for the Apple-ID of the previos user.
I contact him to tell how to erase it from his Apple-ID device list.
--> he did so
But it still does not work.
I allready reimaged it with iTunes.
--> Still the same:
This iPad is already used with Apple-ID...
Somebody has a glue?

I could not do that. But the previous user did.
The device (Serialnumber) is still linked to his Apple-ID, after:
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
He additionally has to remove this device from his list.
iTunes->Store->show Account--> Maintain devices --> remove device
But this was also done.
Now I am confused...
