I can not activate my iphone, activation server unavailable, I cant use my phone, can someone help me?

My iphone started to restore without asking me first, and after that I havent been able to restore it or use it, it says I cant activate it because the activation server is not available now. I havent been able to use it for more than 12 hours,
Someone knows what can I do?

If you are developer (the only official way to get iOS5) then you are keenly aware of the non-disclosure agreement that states IOS5 issues cannot be discussed in open forums.
If you are not a developer, restore the device to the latest version of iOS 4 or try google for assistance.
No one here can assist you with Beta issues.

Check to see if your antivirus or firewall is blocking access to gs.apple.com. You might also see this message if your phone was jailbroken or if your computer was used to jailbreak in the past.
If neither of these apply, just keep trying. There's a very heavy load on Apple's data centers right now.

While Apple is still working to bring its developer site back up a week after taken offline due to a security breach, the company appears to be experiencing another problem with its systems today, as a number of MacRumors have reported they are unable to activate their new iPhones. Other reports are showing up on Twitter as the problems continue.
According to one tipster who called Apple about the problem, the company's activation servers are currently down. Another AT&T employee has told MacRumors that AT&T has also confirmed the outage, and posts in Apple's discussion forum offer similar information.
Reports of problems began surfacing nearly three hours ago, and there is no word yet on when users can expect the issue to be fully resolved.

It was bought from an second hand shop, called cash conventors, which you give your old electricals in and you get money for it, then they put those electricals for sale and i bought this iphone that way
It was working fine before but i couldnt call people as it said "call failed" and then there was a call back option which leads you to the home screen !

iTunes says: There is no sim card installed in the iPhone you are trying to activate. Please disconnect and insert a sim card in the iPhone.
There already is a valid simcard in the iPhone though!!!!!!!!!!!!

After that, I can not activate it because it is constantly writes:
"Your IPad could not activate because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting IPad to iTunes to activate, or try again in a few minutes." using WiFi and Itunes. The process of restoring the firmware also did not help ...

As you are running a beta you must be a developer. You will have to go to the Developer forums for help.
I suspect there is nothing wrong with the activation server; more likely you hacked the phone to get the beta. Now you are stuck.

You have been running beta iOS that is only supposed to be installed by paid developers. Are you a paid developer?. If you are then you need to log into the developer forums to discuss this issue:

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo.

My ipad gone crazy a few days ago. It is always trying to activate itself. The first message that appeared was "Your iPad could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable". I' was able to restore the iPad and backup it but iTunes does not recognize it anymore. I've tried to connect to iTunes using my Macbook and iMac. All my software is up to date.I've contacted for technical asistance and they said they could do nothing to repair it . I can not believe that there's nothing Apple can do. Could you please help me?

That is symptomatic of a phone that was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it.

I updated to IOS 6.1.2 which has been a total diaster. I am regulary losing signal, baterry life and more importantly the service from my provider - 'Searching' keeps appearing.
I have reset my phone via itunes four times over the last three days. Now I have unable to activate my phone. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

Go to https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action#downloads and download the iOS 6 to your computer.
1. Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of iTunes
2. Launch iTunes
3. Connect your iDevice to your computer
4. Select your device in the list on the left side bar of iTunes
5. Select the “Summary” tab in iTunes
6. Hold the Alt-key (Mac)/Shift-key (Win) and click on “Restore”
7. Instead of just restoring, iTunes will show you a dialog box to ask you for the location of the IPSW file that you want to use for restoring your iDevice
8. Select the file you just downloaded and hit the “Choose” button. Beware, some browsers may save the file as a “.zip” file. If this happens, just rename the file, and change the extension to “.ipsw”. This will make the file selectable again in iTunes.
9. Wait for iTunes to restore your device, go drink a coffee, and prepare to enjoy your newly installed iDevice!

ok to cut to the chase.
That message usually indicates that your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.
Then when you updated the phone your phone locked back to the original carrier.
Only the carrier that the phone is locked to can unlock the phone.
You'll need to figure who the original carrier is.
