If you're trying to update an application, you need to delete it and then download it from your Apple ID. You may want to erase the internal drive and install a fresh OS.

Sync with iTunes so you have a backup. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings. Restore the unit as New. Reconfigure for your new ID and password. Restore your apps, etc. from backup.

Yes, but if you delete the iCloud account and start again, don't you have to wait 90 days for everything to start syncing?? I've been having this problem for months and no one seems to be able to figure it out. I used to have one Apple ID (which was not an email address) and then when iOS came along....and iCloud, they force you to use your email address as ID ....which actually sets up a SECOND Apple ID. I have a Mac, iPad, iPod touch and iPhone. the Apple techs tried to delete the iCloud accounts so that they all said the same thing (email address ID) but then I had to wait 90 days. the 90 days just passed and nothing is automatically syncing yet. I still think there are 2 accounts but if I delete all again.....it's going to be another 90 days (for security reasons, I was told). This is a real pain in the butt.

If you are asking how to change the iCloud ID on your device, your go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download to your device.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.

I can not change my Apple ID

Hi, I want to change my Apple ID, because I deleted my old email (hotmail) account.
That's the start of the problem, appleid.apple.com wants me to verify that old email account before I can make changes.
The verify email is send to the old (non-existing) email adress, so I cannot access that.
The other problem is, that I want to use my recovery email adress as the primair email, but offcourse I can't change that either.
Did someone had this problem too? How do I solve this problem?

I just got a new iphone 5s after having a droid for a year. While at the Tmobile store I couldn't remember my apple ID/password so the guy told me just to set up a new one 'for now' and that I would be able to change it later so that I can sync my phone and get all my music from my old itunes account. I can't get my phone to sync with the itunes account on my laptop (but I am not very good at this stuff) Can I either change the apple ID on my phone so that it is my old itunes account or is there a way to get my itunes music from old account onto new phone? Yeah - I believe so. According to the article linked below, having that box checked means that you are, literally, dragging music, and other stuff from your library to your device as opposed to syncing. Not sure I understand the purpose of it. I have always sync'd my device, and I control what syncs by setting up the Profile pages accordingly.
In fact, I sync my devices and my husbands devices to our iTunes library on his Macbook Pro, but we have the Photos option unchecked on all of the device profiles on his Macbook Pro library. We then sync our photos from my Macbook Air, which is where our iPhoto library is housed. On the device profiles on my Mac, all of the boxes except the Photos tab are unchecked. We use the sync process on both, and the way the profiles are set up, it prevents anything from getting accidently un-synced or deleted....
Maybe the Manually Manage option allows you to drag music from multiple libraries without wiping out what you already have on your device....just not sure. But here is the link:

now my all contacts deleted and when i login with new mail(appleid) in apple web page its login but in my iphone my contacts not loaded.
then i changed again my apple id(mail address) to same mail address and now i forgot my yahoo mail password with old mail & i can not verifying the same apple id?
i had 84 $ on my same apple id.is it safe on my account or its die to 0$ ?

How can I change the apple ID on my iPhone to clear all contents and installation?

I still have my iPhone 4s, Which I stopped using when the screen died. I bought a new iPhone 5s. Since, I've changed my Apple ID main e-mail address.
Today I had the screen of the old 4s fixed. Now I want to clear all contents and installation so that I can sell it.
Problem is, that it keeps asking me to verify my Apple ID with my old e-mail address, which obviously doesn't work.
I've allready changed the Apple ID e-mail address in the Apple-ID area in settings. But this doesn't help.
Does anyone know the way out of this?!?

No, doing a reset will not make you lose data. Only restoring erases the content.
There is a separate setting for iCloud in Settings/iCloud/ ->Account-> iCloud account info, but since this is grayed out, the info should change after the reset.
