I can not create a Double object
I cannot create Double objects. The following program should be straight-forward enough. Right?
++class TextfilerFloat++
++{++
++ public static void main (String[] args)++
++ {++
++ Double d = 332.2;++
++ System.out.println (d);++
++ }++
++}++
Compiling it returns the following message:
++incompatible types++
++found : double++
++required: Double++
++ Double d = 332.2;++
++ ^++
++1 error++
++Tool completed with exit code 1++
The same program but with the object Integer instead of Double works (for 332, not 332.2). The problem is not if I use "," och ".", I checked.
Two questions:
Because I have this problem, what other problems can i expect?
What can I do to fix this problem (I have reinstalled Java once and it didnt help)?
I dont use Java 1.4.2 and I never had it installed on my computer. I have Java SE 6.
I interpreted your advice (I am an beginner, and if I didnt understand your advice thats probably the reason) by trying to do it this way:
double d = 112.2;
Double dd = d;It didnt work.
And, Im sure, I just tried, the program works fine if I use Integer instead of Double.
By the way, I get the program to work on other computers. And my Java teacher, who is very skilled, dont know what the problem is.
What else might I do to fix the problem?

Can not create or modify objects via GUI
I have installed Oracle SQL Developer version 1.5.1. The option to create/modify tables via the GUI is not available when i right click i get the options to explore directory, notepad, refresh, apply filter, clear filter (grayed), capture table (grayed), capture into existing model (grayed), quick migrate (grayed) and help i have looked aroung the entire workbench and have not found the option to create/modify tables with advanced options via teh GUI. i can create and modify tables if i type in sql commands but do not have the GUI. Is that a separeate adapter you have to install.
Thanks
NGMHi NGM
Could that be related to the user privileges? Please control with another account that can make create/alter table ?
What are the privileges of your user?
It works fine for me on the release : Oracle IDE 1.5.1.54.40.

Run-time error '429':Active X component can not create an object
Hi Folks,
I am using some VBA code to run logic in BPC for Excel. When i try to click on VBA button, It's giving the below error.However when i am trying to execute same from server it is working fine. Accessing from BPC client only we are facing this problem.
Code have no issues. Is there any specific thing need to mentioned in client when we use VBA programming? Basically we used the VBA program to create the id's in BPC for Excel. So that it will automatically created on fly. Testing was fine interms of working in Server.
" Run-time error '429':Active X component can not create an object ."Hi,
Are you trying to add a member into the dimension from excel? As you said that this has been already tested in the server and is working fine, I believe, you have taken care of everything.
Now, coming to the point, when you are adding a member in the membersheet, you need to process the dimension. This requires the admin rights. So, please check the task profile of the user ID, with which you are trying from your system. This user ID should be the primary admin.
Hope this helps.
Additionally, can you please elaborate on the steps on what you followed for adding a member from the excel directly? -
Can not create the connection in the enrironment!!
hello,every one:
please see the following code:
Environment *env = Environment::createEnvironment(Environment::OBJECT);
Connection *conn = env->createConnection(userName,password,connectString);
try
//use the conn
catch (SQLException &ex)
env->terminateConnection(conn);
Environment::terminateEnvironment(env);
throw;//re-throw
env->terminateConnection(conn);
Environment::terminateEnvironment(env);
Environment *ev = Environment::createEnvironment(Environment::OBJECT);
//the program stopped here,display i can not create the new connection
Connection *cn = ev->createConnection(userName,password,connectString);
ev->terminateConnection(cn);
Environment::terminateEnvironment(ev);
I have terminated the connection and the environment,then why I can not create the
connection in the new environment?
I have tried several times,if you connect the same database as the former,then it
does not work,but if you connect a new database ,it can create the new connection!
plus:I don't want to use conection pool .
Can I have some method to solve the problem?
Please help me!
Thanks a lot in advance!
tony from ChinaHi Tony,
This similar sample works perfectly fine for me. Can you
retry with this?

We face the same problem with some BI4 reports.
The same report works well with the "Crystal Reports Viewers API", as used in Infoview, but not with the "Report Application Server (RAS) API".
This error appears after some time working on a report. If we reproduce the same report, but from zero, no problem.
Hope it can help.

MapBuilder Error:Can not find a GeoRaster object with specified rdt and rid

I can't GeoRaster data in the preview of the MapBuilder and MapViewer. The GeoRasterViewer shows the Raster images without problems.

The errror message of MapViewer is nearly the same with some more informations about the spatial query and the coordintes of the query window. If I run that spatial query in the sqldeveloper it returns a result!
I did following stebs:
- saved a tiff-Image in a GeoRaster table with pyramid an tiled images.
- checked the sdo_geom_metadata --> they are correct
- checked the sdo_georaster object for the rdt table name and rasterid --> they are correct
- checked the rdt table --> objects with that rid are saved
- checked the mdsys.sdo_geor_sysdata table --> entry is correct
- validate the geraster with the sdo_geor.validategeoraster function --> object is valid
- updated the spatial extend of the image and try again the preview functio--> the same error
The databse server is a virtual Linux server with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit.
The web server is a Window 2003 R2 Server with a weblogic server and mapviewer patch 5 (Ver1033p5_B081010).
For a test I did the same (the same table script, the same raster data, the same import method) on a developer pc (WinXP Pro SP2) with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 (32bit) the same mapbuilder version but with the MapViewer QuickStartKid and it works fine!!!
Has anyone an idea?
Greeting,
Cord
Edited by: Corti on Nov 19, 2008 2:14 PMHi Joao,
Thanks so far.
I'm previewing a GeoRaster theme. I created it with the MapBuilder GeoRaster wizard. The theme difinition is (out of the export file):

<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
<styling_rules theme_type="georaster">

(GeoRaster table name is "RAS_DGK", theme name is also "RAS_DGK")
I get following log information:

Edited by: martin.morono on Nov 8, 2012 11:49 AMThanks Levi,
I slightly modified your script to recatalog the backup pieces since they are note stored at the same location in PR and QA.
No luck. The error message is different but the result is the same... it keeps failing.

Can i Create A business object of my own without inheriting
hi gurus,
Can i Create A business object of my own without inheriting from any other business object. i Know how to create sub type.yes, u can choose 'create' button in SWO1 and not fill field Supertype.
or copy your new BO from already exist. -
Can I create a File object without writing it to the disk?
I need construct a mechanism where I can "write" instructions to a file and then FTP this file to a remote system. It is basically a Telnet-like integration for a system that does not support Telnet. Once the file is on the remote device, it knows how to read the file and process its instructions.
I would like to logically create this File object, by that I mean that I would like to use a FileWriter object to write the text instructions to the File, then use the Jakarta Commons NET API to FTP the file to the remote system. My question: can I create this File object without the file actually being written to the file system? Can the File just be memory resident for this creation and FTP?
There could be tens of thousands of these transactions per day and I would like to just avoid any kind of deletion strategy, if I can. Thanks.Apart from the questionable decision to try and mess with the File object, I think the answer to (my guess at) your original question is "Yes".

We have a Java7 web app, which generate PDF report by calling Crystal Server 2013 SP4.
The app is being deployed on many different servers. We sometimes got the error below when generating report:
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKException: Can not create temp file---- Error code:-2147215357 [CRSDK00000615] Error code name:internal
at com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.PrintOutputController.controllerExportInternal(PrintOutputController.java:280)
at com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.PrintOutputController.export(PrintOutputController.java:152)
at com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.PrintOutputController.export(PrintOutputController.java:130)
at com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.PrintOutputController.export(PrintOutputController.java:113)
Problem is, this seems to be a pretty generic exception. It could be caused by many different reasons.
e.g. network connection problem, wrong DB login, wrong folder path, lack of folder access right, etc.
Each time we could only guess what's wrong.
We are running into it again, and this time everything seems correctly configured so far.
We wonder if there are more info we can get to troubleshoot? For example, any log file of Crystal Server we should look into? Or does Crystal Server has debug mode which prints more details to tell us what goes wrong?Prithviraj Shekhawat wrote:
Hi Henry,
I believe you are using RAS SDKs to export the reports to PDF.
Apply trace on RAS server and check what you find in RAS logs.
Check whether you can see timeout error is RAS logs. Usually if connection is lost and the RAS server no more have the session to write to the temp directory, we do see these errors.
Also, does the account that runs RAS have permissions to create a file in RAS's default temp directory? Are you getting any out of memory or out of disk space exceptions on App server or RAS, tracing RAS server is the way to move forward.
Thanks,
Prithvi

Yes

How to configure tracing, and where are RAS logs? Is it configured in CMC --> Servers --> Crystal Report Services?

Pretty sure yes.

Not on App server.
For RAS, that's the problem, I am not sure where to look....... -
JMStudio Error "Can not create session manager"
Hi,
I'm trying to transmit an mpg file through a simple pc to pc network, using the transmission wizard in the JMStudio, and everytime it causes a "can not create session manager" error, even when I try to transmit .mp3 file
I'm using an ip like 100.100.0.1 for the sender machine, and 100.100.0.2 for the receiver machine, and I don't know where is the problem
thanks in advanceUm,maybe the port that you use for transmission is already occupied.
Make sure that you are not using JMStudio to transmit streams while trying to receive streams from the same port. -
Can not create recovery discs on satellite C875D-S7330
Can not create recovery discs on satellite C875D-S7330. Drive runs and appears to be doing it thing, then aborts saying it has error to check disc for scratch or dust on media. Error code: OEO1B5-26-2AO3OC 00 . Tried 3 new discs all same results. Tried a 4th disc trying to continue on with disc 2 of recovery discs, got another error on this one. Error code: 020150-20-00000000.
Anyone have a fix for this? Had this machine less than 24hrs.
Thanks
Don B.Personally, I would get a 16gig USB thumb drive and put your recovery on it. It eliminates having to swap disks during recovery and it's easy to store. I've used mine several times and it's worked perfectly every time.

Admin Tool can not create any new database or model [nqserror 46131]
Hi everyone!
I can not create anything new in each layer on the admin tool. It marks unknown error.
When I try to import metadata it send the message: [nqserror 46131] unresolved hostname, everything in online mode. I can modify everything offline, then replace the rpd and I can create reports in Answers. But I need to do all of these online mode.
Everything else works well (Answers, Dashboards, Publisher). The server name is correctly put in the instanceconfig.xml.
OBIEE Version: 11.1.1.6.0 (upgrade recently from 11.1.1.5). The scheduler does not start since migration.
Server OS: Red hat enterprise edition

I can not create a new user account on eprint
i can not create a new user account on eprint. I have been trying for over an hour and it repeats telling me that my email addresses are not entered correctly, however they match. ?
I have tried to create an account via ePrintCenter and it seems that the published application has several flaws in interpreting the provided input.
1) In the Filed for last Name I enter my last name, which consist of only Alph Characters. The form however thinks that there is some sort of special character and rejects my Input.
2) E-Mail address. is not identical; OK, so I do a quick OCR on the E-Mail and guess what they are identical. Again the form Fails to recognize this.
3) Enter a password (2 Fields) and a third is displayed which is marked as "*required" but is not labeled as to what the required info could possibly be. Or is it a 3 password confirmation box, who knows.
All I know is that a simple registration is a major pain with this HP site.
Any Help as to how to alleviate this would of course be greatly appreciated. -
Can not create a page in iWeb.
Hi there,
I suddenly can not create a new page with my site on iWeb. I can also not import photos by dragging them over, nor can I create a new site with iWeb!
Last time this happened I quite iWeb then it woudn't open again. I have managed to get my website back but now face the same problem with not being able to create a new page etc!
Any ideas?
SarahTry the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents of the User/Home/Library/Caches/iWeb folder
3 - launch iWeb and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If you're running Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.
