I can not edit pictures in Photoshop elements 12 any longer.
When I click on editor in my photoshop elements 12 I get a message that tells me a problem was found and windows needs to close the program. Anyone know how I can fix this?

unless there is a fool proof way. I have tried manually making collections/ albums on Windows 8.1 and PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12 and coping pictures into the new albums. sloooow!!
I probably have about 4500 pictures and 150 collections/ albums to go. So any suggestions would be appreciated.

Which operating system are you running on?
Try starting the organizer while holding down the shift key. Hopefully, it should load the Catalog Manager.
Select your current catalog and click on the Repair button. Once it has finished, click on the Open button to see if the catalog opens.

Can not sign in to photoshop elements - Error occurred and information not saved
I am trying to sign in to my account from my Photoshop Element 10 program. When I log in, I get a msg that says my account has been located and I need to update some information. It asks for DOB and to make up a website address. After filling in all the blanks and check boxes I try to click on Update account. It tries to "submit" information when I get a "failure" msg saying Error occured and information was not saved. I can not move past this step. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program without benefit.

If these are iMessages then they are "archived" as the app runs a database item called chat.db that holds the "history" of the iMessages conversations you have had.
In Mavericks this is in ~/Library/Messages
There are several database items in here that are needed as a whole.
If the chats on show in the main Messages window are from AIM, Jabber or Yahoo connection then these will need to have been Saved at the time.
In Messages Menu > Preferences > General Section is the setting for Save on Close.
This will save the chat if you dismiss it from the Main window or when you quit the app.
With an open chat this may mean that different bits are saved in folders dated for different days.
In Mavericks this is in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.ichat/Data/Library/Messages/Archive
Basically this is in the Sandboxed area of ~/Library
Have you tried going to the Accounts section of the Preferences and using the Sign Out button ?
Once you have done this shut down the app (Quit).
On restarting the app re-add the Apple ID.

Can you confirm which Camera Raw PSE 12 is actually using by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Plug-in -> Camera Raw.
If you do Help -> Updates it may install the latest camera raw of 8.4 - not on XP or Vista systems.
Do you use any Nikon software to download the images? The older versions have been known to corrupt the files.

How did you install it in your Windows 7 and is it 64 bit version for your system? I am assuming you are using a 64 bit machine but this may not be the case but please confirm.

When I first downloaded Firefox- everything was normal -- then my computer had to be taken back to the way it was from the factory. I had Trojans. Now I have reloaded Firefox, and I get no pictures on Facebook. I get all of the graphics when I go to a game site, and it is fast--Thank you!!, but when I am on my Homepage or News feed, all I get are the names, but no pictures of my friends or what they have posted --pictures. In my profile, I have no picture of myself that I have posted, or in my albums.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 4 times now, and still the same thing. PLEASE HELP ME-- I DO NOT LIKE WINDOWS EXPLORER-- IT IS SLOWER THAN MOLASSES IN A BLIZZARD-- IT TAKES MINUTES TO LOAD SOME OF MY GAMES-- AND SOME WON'T LOAD AT ALL.With Facebook on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see the [[site identity button]] article) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see [[Images or animations do not show]].
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images. -

adobe starter edition has photo numbers by the picture such as DSCO0283.JPG , where can I find that number on the pictures in PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12--reason being that photoshop elements will not convert my catalog to version 12. If i had that number I could manually rebuild my collections into the photoshop elements 12, but all that i see in photoshop elements is dates and i have multiple pictures from the same dates. HELP! I got iPhoto '11, version 9.2.3 and want to edit photos using Photoshop elements 10. I have put P'shop 10 as the preferred editor... but when I click on the photo in iPhoto the Adobe p'shop 10 program opens BUT the picture does not open for editing. What the heck... I did fine with the old iPhoto and "Shop elements 6... .

New Adobe Photoshop elements 11-can not share pictures. I do use AOL email. Get error of "Elements 11 Organ. has stopped working, I have looked into sharing tab and my only option is Adobe email settings. I do have outlook set up to work on computer running windows 8.1 Please help, Mainly use to share pictures. Thanks!

Open the photo. Press ctrl+A (command+A on a mac) to select it, then Ctrl+C (command+C) to copy it. Go to your word processing document and press Ctrl+V (command+V) to paste it in. (Note that for the last step the procedure may vary slightly depending on your word processor.)

When attempting to use Lightroom external editor program to edit a photo in Photoshop Elements 10, the photo does not open / appear on photoshop elements screen. I don't have any problem with this when using Photoshop Elements 6 or Photoshop CS. I'm using a Mac with Mountain Lion OS. Any solutions?

I now am able to open the old catalog again!! I tried now several times with the new shortcut.
Thank you very much indeed for ALL YOUR EFFORT and patients with me.
You suggest now I should click on the repair button. When I do so, the catalog will be overwritten, or I can choose not to overwrite and than the catalog will be twice as big. So I decided not to click on the repair button. When I see afterwards that some functions do not work anymore, I allways can use the repair button. As far as I can see now nothing is lost.. )
As far as I understood it is only possible to repair with a backup. Happily I made that allways, but I am afraid to use it, for the reason above.
When I have more time to spare, I will look for all the foto's from the apps of my cellphone and delete them.
Now I can finish my fotowork, what I had started before, and make Photoshop Elements again the main fotoprogram on my desktop.
