I can not find a way to get a refund.

I have went on the App Store to get a refund but the links take me in a circuitous route (App Store > iTunes Store > website, etc., etc. but the steps displayed on this page... http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933
... do not appear for me. Instead they take me back to a FAQ list rather than allow me to comment on my problem or request a refund.
How can I get a refund on an app that does not function as it was described.
I have contacted the author directly but he said I must get the refund directly through the App Store since that's how I purchased it.

That was the link that Apple should have made very prominent, but unfortunately, like so many sites, you have to click-and-click-and-click, etc. to find it.
I think they do it so you won't ask for a refund.
It would be so much better if they would simply allow the developers to post demos (as so many people have noted).

I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. Sounds like you have an iPhone 3G, not a 3GS. If so, iOS 4.2.1 is the end of the line for your phone.

Personally, I would not recommend deleting/removing the iWorks 09 folder for several reasons: one is that the new versions have had several functionalities removed and until you decide that you can work with the new one and do not miss any features the older version had, I would leave the old one in place. Personally, I will not be using the new versions.
The second reason is that you can accomplish what you want using a different approach: simply open a Get Info window of your document and choose which version of Pages you want this to open in - you can also stipulate that all docs like this are opened with whichever particular version.
FWIW: Once you have edited an old document in the new Pages version, you can no longer open it in the older version. However, you can still export it to the old version.

If they were put there via iTunes sync process, then simply untick the Music box before syncing again.

Type safety: The method add(Object) belongs to the raw type List. References to generic type List<E> should be parameterized
I can't find a way to rewrite this method (Java5), that i get no warnings compiling it and calling it with:

it, but what if you define the ArrayList as follows?
List<Object> list = new ArrayList<Object>();
