I can not hear any sound from my i pad

there is no sound while I use my ipad

I had the same problem with my iPad.I sent it to a service provider who changed the speaker.Still the problem persited. This is what I did and the sound came back:
1)start playing music from the iPad.You will notice that there is NO SOUND.
2)keep the music playing WITHOUT the sound.
3)connect your earphones and you will hear the music on the earphones!
4)whilst the music is playing, swipe up and reveal the menu at botton of page.
scroll to far left of the bottom menu.
5)You will notice that the speaker button on the left has a line across it indicating that the main speaker is disabled.Tap the icon to remove the line across the speaker icon.
6)While the music is still playing ,remove the earphone jack and the music will continue to play on the iPad speakers. It looks like the iPad speaker is disabled whenever the earphone jack is inserted. It is supposed to re-connect when the earphone jack is removed but for some reason it remains disabled!
All the above assumes that you have done all the other issues of making sure that your volume buttons have not been muted on the external switch.
Good bye.

Hey ErikSimon, I kept troubleshooting my problem last night and when I loaded my samples an alternate way, actually the longer way, it worked. I think I have gremlins in the system or something, but I got it working again. I was having the issue when I tried loading the samples via these instructions that were mentioned in SFLogicninja's Youtube video @ 3:07
    http://www.youtube.com/user/SFLogicNinja#p/u/8/7YjgKLZ2jpY
They are good instructions, but the Logic gods weren't smiling on me last night. Really weird and frustrating at the same time. Thanks anyways.

  • I can not hear any sound on my laptop .

i can not hear any sound on my laptop .pls help but i can see icon of sound and i already reinstall its hp pavilion dv6

    HI. =)
All you have to do is update your sound/audio driver. (especialy if you just got a BIOS update, if you haven't, just proceed)
first, make sure  nothin's attached to your laptop.
go to hp.com -> support & drivers -  drivers & software -  (put in your product name/number - you can find that at the bottom of your laptop) -  at the drop down, select widows 64 bit (mostly)  then hit next - at step 2, 'SELECT A DOWNLOAD', choose driver - audio - click the first blue link and hit save - after saving, your laptop will prompt you to run it. hit run.
then your laptop will reset, and it should produce sound.
    **your kudos will be appreciated.

  • I can't hear any sound from the web

I can't hear any sound from any flash website, or music players on myspace, and youtube.com etc... I think its a flash problem. It worked a few days ago. Is it a problem with my browser? With Flash? A virus?
I tried the web browser's preferences and system preferences. I got the latest version of flash player. Is there anything else?

    That's great kar3b3ar.

  • WINDOWS 7 , WITH HP PAVILION DV6 , PLAYING MUSIC OR MOVIES , CAN'T HEAR ANY SOUND FROM SPEAKERS

when i played music or movies cant hear any voice from my speaker but it's done with headphones
NOTS   am using windows 7 with hp pavilion dv6

    Hi,
Please note that by performing a System Restore, your personal files and documents on the notebook are not affected. However, performing a System Recovery will certainly wipe all the files and documents in your unit.
Also, System Restore will only help if the unit was working fine before. As you have mentioned  the sound has not worked properly since the day you purchased the machine, I would suggest you to try connecting a headphone on your notebook and check whether the issue still persists.
If the sound is working fine while using the headphone then it can be an issue with the internal speakers. You may also try connecting an external speakers to isolate the issue or try playing the default audio file that was preshipped with the notebook.
Microsoft too has a fixit, which you may run visiting the web link below.
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/AudioPlayback/
Let me know whether this helps
    regards

  • I can not hear any voice from the ear piece with my new Iphone 5. I don't know why.

I just used the new iphone 5 for one week. Now, I found I can not hear anything from the ear piece. The speaker is ok, but it dose not work on the earpiece.
I use it very carefully, I even use a good case for it.
    I don't know why!!!!!

Did you remove the plastic protector that came on the front of the device?
Is there a screen protector or case blocking the speaker on the device?

  • I can't hear any sound from my earpiece for incoming and outgoing calls or music playing for 5s

hi can anyone help me?, i have an iphone 5c about 2months old and randomly today i tried to play music but there was no sound. When  recieve calls it rings i pick up and its quiet no sound nothing same thing when i dial a number

    Hello channyk,
It sounds like you are unable to hear from your receiver on the phone and from the speaker as well. I would use the troubleshooting from the following article:
iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5180
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
    Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact Apple Support.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • I bought a usb microphone (blue snowball). I can't hear any sound from it. The MIDI master volume is turned all the way down, and I can't turn it up because it's frozen/locked. Please help!!! Not very tech savvy, been at this for hours and desperate :(

I've been trying to fix this problem, seems like it would be simple, but apparently it is not. I just want to turn up the master volume control under my input tab in MIDI audio devices so I can use my blueball microphone.
This image above is what I'm currently dealing with. I put a red box around the volume control I want to use. That is the one I can't turn up because it is locked/frozen.
Please make steps as simple as possible!
    Thanks

You should have gotten a user manual.  If the manual is of no help, contact the manufacturer.

  • I can not get any sound from my Iphone 4. Everybody is calling me but the ringers does not work ...

My phone does nor ring!!! Everybody is calling me and the ringer does nor worlk!!! Any sugestions?

If it isn't on silent the speakers may have blown, if you live in the UK, you can visit the nearest apple shop and they should do a direct swap, you can also try this in other countries however I am not certain they will swap it.

  • I can't hear any sound from my speakers

NOt muted. I checked the side bar and toggle. I docked my ipad in my car to hear music but when I un docked it, the sound was gone.
when I click on my music it volume controller is not there

You would need to connect the speakers to the apple tv if that is where the video is playing.

  • Sometimes when I unplug my headphones I can't hear any sound from my MacBook.

I tried plugging in my headphones again to see if it would work but I'm not getting anything. I'll have to restart it for the sound to work again. I've only had the notebook for 2 months, is anyone else having this issue?

If you see a red light inside the audio output port, the switch is stuck inside.  Try a few inserts of the headphone plug to see if it will trip it.  Failing that, take a toothpick or cocktail stirrer and jiggle it inside the port in an effort to trip the switch.  Failing that, take it to the Genius bar at the Apple store.
    Ciao.

  • The volume on my iPad 3 has gone. I've checked the mute button, tried restarting, resetting etc and nothing has changed. I can't hear the music, hear any sound from videos. Most times the video stops playing after a seconds. My iPad 3 is only 2 months ol.

If you have lost all sound and video is freezing on you, that ain't good. Your iPad is two months old so I would not hesitate to contact Apple at all. You are entitled to 90 days of phone support.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/contact/.
If you want to try a couple of things on your own, try quitting all apps and then reboot the iPad - not so much for the sound issue itself - but more as a general "start all over again" sort of approach. It might help with the video freezes.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you use headphones on occasion, you can try plugging and unplugging those as well and see if the sound comes back.
You could even try restoring the iPad to factory settings and then restore from a backup, but unless there is something totally hosed on the iPad, that should not be necessary with a two month old device - of course assuming that you didn't drop the iPad or do something accidental that could be causing the problems.
