I can not install firefox 6 in my laptop (windows 7 64 bit), whats wrong?

I have tried to install other versions of firefox to install but it is not working. my OS is windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit. Is any version of firefox compatible with windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit?

What other versions have you tried. Several of us and my family members had complete success installing [ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/5.0/win32/ FireFox 5.0] over top of FireFox 6.xx and thus solving all the problems with the current FF versions.
This is on Win 7 64x (my computer), my wife's Vista machine and a friends older WinXP computer.
Provide some detail on your previous efforts, perhaps someone here can help.

  • Can not install the Ipod software on Windows XP SP2

Hello, I can not install the 'Ipod logiciel' [Ipod software?] for my Ipod Nano on my PC with Windows XP SP2. I don't have any error messages but the installation gets stopped just before its end. I mean, the Install Shield Program disappears while the steps "Publication of the product information" Does somebody know what's happening or where the problem might comes from? I would really appreciate your help. Merci d'avance,

I have the same problem. The old version 4.7 works fine on XP but upgrading to version 6.0 or above gives me an error message that says ( The iTunes music library .itl file is locked on a local disk or you do not have permission for this file.) I bought my wife a Nano and the XP machine won't see the Nano, but if I plug the Nano into my Laptop with Win 2000 with the same 4.7 version of iTunes it will work just fine. The only problem is that all the music files are on the desk top machine. I can load the nano but I have to do it in a round about way. I tried updating iTunes about 6 different times with the same results. You must remove Itunes through ad/remove hardware in windows, restart win. then reinstall the older version. I tried the repair rout several times but that did no good.Good luck and I hope Apple can help us out with these problems!

  • Can not install Oracle 9i R2 on Windows 2000

I can not install Oracle 9i R2 on Win 2000. It failed at 48% with this message.
Error in writing to file C:
    \oracle\ora92\oem_webstage\oem_webstage_8.jar

    Help me please.

I've been able to install 9iAS on Windows 2000 - I have the Origin database on a Solaris machine.
Your best bet is to have all 3 folders Disk1/Disk2/Disk3 on your computer and the run the install from there. I didn't have the disk space on my computer and ran it from a shared drive.
I'm currently in the post install section trying to Configure cache, and wondering if it's still working or hung up.
The 9iAS Installation took 3 1/2 days to run - I have a 300 Mhz PC with about 380 RAM. The Cache Configuration has been running for over 26 hours.
I don't know if this helps but I hope it does.
I didn't experience any of the problems you have.
    Hope this helps

  • Can Not Install iTunes on Work Laptop

I am unable to install software onto my work laptop.
I would like the ability to drag and drop audio files without using iTunes.
At work, I am able to download audio files from the Web manually - then I would like to drag and drop them from my laptop to the Nano using the USB cable.
I'm able to browse folders on the Nano, and even see additional folders when I show hidden files and folders.
    Can someone help? Thanks!

The site seem to come and go, so they may have problems with their hosting service (it's a one man operation I think and free, so not a huge budget). But I've never heard of anyone getting a virus from it. I tried the site just now, and it's super slow at the moment, but it is loading. There may be other programs that live on the iPod, but Yamipod is the only one I know of.

    Please help

    Hi,
Sorry you're encountering this problem.  Unfortunately the error you're receiving is in another log that we'll need to enable.  However, we might be able to circumvent this using the Windows Installation Cleanup tool.  First, make sure that AIR is not available as an uninstall in your Add/Remove programs control panel, then follow the steps outlined in this post.
If that does not help, we'll need to enable MSI logging so we can get a better idea on what's failing.
How to enable Windows Installer logging
Once MSI logging is enabled, please re-run the AIR Installer to generate the MSI Log (instructions for finding this log are also in the link above.)
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Can not install this update for kb2667402 windows 7 professional. I tried various fix-it but it did not help Update KB2667402 failed with error 80004005

I'm not sure where to turn now and am soooooooooo frustrated! I have been trying to get security update KB2667402 with error code 80004005 to install for a couple months without any success.
So, I finally turned to microsoft tech support... Case# 1186572463
On Fri. Oct. 26 I was on the phone with a microsoft tech for over 3 hours. The tech that took remote access of my computer said she did not know how to fix my problem and that my case would have to be escalated to a higher level and that I would
receive a call back on Mon. Oct. 29th. However, I never got a return call.
Yesterday - Tues. Oct. 30th I called in again and was on the phone for 4.5 hrs with a microsoft tech and he also took remote access of my computer but was not able to fix the problem. I asked to speak to someone at a higher tech level and was told to call
    back into the microsoft helpline.
The 3rd call - Although I had been told during the prior 2 calls that I was still covered under my warrenty I was now told that I needed to pay for the support call. It took a while to get that straighteded out and to give all my information again to
the call center but I finally worked with a 3rd tech for over 2 hrs. but had to terminate the call for a conference call I had with a client. The person I worked with said he would call me back between 7-8pmEST so he could continue helping me but I never
    got a return call.
I have already invested over 10 hrs in the last few days regarding this issue and fear that if I call back in I will once again start over completely with no success which is why I am reaching out here. Is there anyone that has the knowledge of how to fix
    the problem?

I've been having the same problem and today did some searching and found something that worked.  Check that the download hasn't already been installed - look in the Installed Updates listing for an entry.  If it exists there, uninstall it, and
then force a Check For Updates and retry the install. This worked for me and I hope it helps.
    Good day, Chuck.

  • Can not install the latest itunes on Windows 7 x64

I have recently purchased an Ipad and need to download itunes onto my computer.  Its a windows 7 64 bit operating system that was already installed upon the purchase of the computer.
I have downloaded the most recent itunes program from their site and made sure I had the correct file for the 64 bit computer.  When I click to run the installation program I get the pop up window that asks if I "want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer" I click yes and then nothing happens.  I don't get an error code so I can't give you that it just doesn't do anything.
I have tried all the troubleshooting methods suggested by itunes here - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926 and even looked to see if I could find a similar situation on the help boards.  So far nothing has worked.  Can anyone help me?

UPDATE: Okay after repeating the troubleshooting steps for what seems to be the 5th time and re-downloading itunes for what seems to be the 6th time I have now managed to install itunes *does happy dance*
Thank you for your support advice and patience.

I recently had a virus on my PC. Passing the Avast antivirus has had to delete some registry and since FP is not working in IE9. If it workd with Chrome.
The OS is W7 64 bits. I uninstalled IE9 several times and I have reinstalled. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled over 30 times FP and still not working, but no errors are detected in the discherge and installation.
The problem is that in the IE 9 configuration tool "Currently loaded add-ons" in "Shockwane Flash Object" appear Light Grey both options "enabled" and "disabled"
Thanks you very much for your help

    Thanks Mike,
I followed your instructions and I created a new administrator account in Windows7.
From this new administrator account properly installed Flash Player and it works.
As for the old administrator account does not work, I have to check that may be happening in Windows 7.
Thank you very much for helping me to find the problem.
