I can not make a index on a big file

when I make index on a 87k text file, the index monitor show the Document Status is "Preparation Failed" and and the Return Message is "Creating connection failed"
Then I cut down the file from 97k to 2k, Now, Every is OK, the index is work!
What 's wrong with my system?

this log is copy from: TrexPreprocessor.03252.000.trc, and the same informaton is occured in TrexQueueServer.03604.000.trc and TrexIndexServer.03444.000.trc.
I guess this error was occured when the index server is try to connect to name server, but the name server refuse the requestion.
anyone could tell me how to corret this error?

Whenever you got a problem try performing a search in this forum, so you can reuse the existing information instead of asking a new question right away (I assume you haven't done this, I might be wrong
Try for instance searching for "10 kb trex search" if the above post doesnt help you.

How can I make OSX index a network share for spotlight?
I am using a QNAP NAS with SMB network shares, which I mount with OS X Mavericks. They are not searchable, as far as I know because of the indexing of network share is by default not activated.
To force the OS to index them I activated this via mdutils. But this is no solutions. This makes spotlight to index the share once. But I want spotlight to index it always and keep it up to date. I have a huge amount of documents & fotographs, which is very difficult to manage without being searchable.
Unfortunately the only solution I found in the www was the mdutils-way, which seems not to work, maybe only works not for me.
I would appreciate any assistance,

I have used the mdutil /Volumes/name -i on, and it seems to work.
But, if I understand it correctly, it is a one-time indexing -- the index is NOT keep up-to-date with changes.
So, how can we keep the index up-to-date?
My thought was to schedule a Terminal file to execute each night with the mdutil code.
Would this work? If so, how would you setup a scheduled run?
Would it have to be done on each Mac that accesses the Share?

TS1424 I have an ipad and an iphone on two seperate itunes account and i can not make an itunes purchase on either device. I keep getting asked for answers to the securtity question which i never answered in the first place! How do i fix this?

I have two seperate itunes accounts on two seperate devices and i can not make an itunes purchase on either one. When signing into the account it ask for the answer to security questions. I have NEVER answered a security question for these accounts. Each time it is a different set of questions. This has only happend since the original devices have been replaced/upgraded. How do I fix this? There is money in each account and both have recieved itunes giftcards for christmas that they are unable to use!

Tips I received so far (thanks to A-Mac via Twitter http://www.a-mac.nl and Remco Kalf http://www.remcokalf.nl/)
- make sure you have at least 10% of your harddisk in free space (I had only 5%).
- do a PRAM-reset (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379)
- perform a hardware test (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509)
- make a complete backup (with for example Carbone Clone Copier, see http://www.bombich.com/)
- after complete backup: use diskwarrior (boot from Diskwarrior DVD, first perform diagnostics, then perform "Rebuild" which rebuilds your file directory).
So far I only cleared up some space on my HD, and already the problem occurs less.
Still, I will go through the other tips too.

You can use itunes gift cards that have been purchased from external sources. Card needed if to want to buy gift card from Istore.

The maximum value is $233.00. If the amount is less the 233, that value is used. If it is over 233 then 233 is used. So, if LTD is greater then 233.00 then 233.00 else LTD.

Can not make network user accounts

After upgrading from 10.6.8 Server to 10.8 and installing server tools, I can not make network user accounts. All of my old network user accounts migrated to the new OS and work properly, I just can not seem to make new accounts under 10.8.
Under 10.6.8 I would log into Workgroup Manager as diradmin and I could pretty easily make new users.
Under 10.8.2 I launch the server app and click on "users". The addition (+) symbol in greed out for making new users. I can make local users via System Preferences, but I can not see any way to change local users to network users via either System Preferences or the Server app.
I have logged into the server app using a local administrator account, the diradmin account, and the root account. None of the accounts allow access to create new network users (addition symbol is greed out).
Is there a trick to making network users in 10.8 that I am missing?
(as an aside, I have noticed I can log into Directory Utility as diradmin and can view the node with all my network accounts. It seems like I might be able to manually create a user account this way, but I'm not quite sure how to make the user record)

Open Directory service is started and functional for all the pre-existing network user accounts that were made under 10.6.8 and earlier. I just can not seem to create new netowork user accounts.
I followed the steps on this page and managed to make a user record that appeared as a network user in the Server app, but I still can not seem to log in under the user I made in this fashion (dscl command via terminal).
