I can not open images
I'm using CS5.1-- just installed it. I go to File-->Open--> the image, and no window opens.
It seems the window is hidden because I see an icon in the layers pallet and the icon says it's visable... I can't click anywhere because there is no window to click in... "Fit on Screen" doesn't do anything...
I'm stuck!

The Open dialogue window does tend to appear where ever it was when last used, but I have just tried dragging right off screen and cancelling, but when using Ctrl o the next time, it has moved so that the entire window is fully within the bounds of which ever Monitor it was in when last cancelled. Are you using a second monitor, or do you ever use a data projector?
I wonder if the last position information is stored in the Preferences file? Try the usual trick of deleting Preferences to see if does the job (hold down Ctrl Alt Shift when opening Photoshop - Cmd Opt Shift for a Mac)

Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
You might also consider deleting and reinstalling the programs.

I can not open the messages from the inbox of Vodafone webmail
I have loaded Firefox on my new Nexus 7 android.
I prefer firefox , rather that google crome.
When I try to access mail in my vodafone webmail account I can log on and get to the mail page.
When I click on inbox it shows all the in coming messages but I can not open them.Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies, do the following:

Can you confirm which Camera Raw PSE 12 is actually using by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Plug-in -> Camera Raw.
If you do Help -> Updates it may install the latest camera raw of 8.4 - not on XP or Vista systems.
Do you use any Nikon software to download the images? The older versions have been known to corrupt the files.

This indicates a disconnect between the Thumbnail and the original
this can be caused by two things
1 - User action deleting items from inside the iPhoto library - can be directly - can be from the All images list (never delete from there) - can be from running cleanup software like MacKeeer, CleanMac2 or other dangerous, defective software that improperly deletes or changes things in the iPhoto library - if you have done any of these things you must restore your backup from before you did them and damaged your iPhoto library - and I recommend getting rid of any "clean up software" ASAP (although being essentially MalWear it is not easy)
2 - corruption of the iPhoto library - If it is not #1 then Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - repair permissions and then rebuild your database

Help! pagecentent.setAttributes, IE can not open the site

I have some scriplets in my jsp file.
I the scriplets I used pagecontent.setAttribute("varname", varvalue) so that i can use varname in my jstl code.
My jsp file is about getting some image file and print its string format.
I run the url and it works at first, but after load the page several times, I got the error messge:
Internet Explore can not open the site http://....
I click refresh, sometime it works, some time not. The more times I load the page, the more often the error shows up.
Does anybody have any ideas about this error?
Does mix scriplet var with jstl var often cause problem?
Thanks a lot.i think you might have to give a bit more detail...its easy to mark this as a IE configuration problem the way you have it....caching? does it behave differently if you 'click refresh' or hit F5? seems stupid but F5 always does a true page refresh. links and the refresh button seem to grab from cache even when they're not supposed to. i've also dealt with annoying proxy servers that ignore the response.setDateHeader ("Expires", 0); directive.
i apologize if i'm on the wrong track, but any sort of java errors would usually show up in a log or something...see if you can find that to debug any syntax problems. -
I am running Photoshop CS6 on a Mac OS X 10.9.3 and every time I save a large eps I can not open it again. I get this message when I try. "Could not complete your request because Photoshop was unable to parse the PostScript."
Oh, dear.
If you use PSE as your external editor for iphoto, you need to save the images back to iphoto by using Save, not Save As and not changing anything like the name or format that would bring up the Save As window. (You may need to adjust the editor prefs>saving files>on first save to save over existing.)
OR you can export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, use file>open in the editor and then change whatever you want and either import the saved image to the organizer or import it back to iphoto as a new file. What you are doing is extremely risky, particularly to the iphoto library which you may easily damage by your workflow.
I would start the organizer holding down the shift key, then create a new catalog and switch to the new one. Then try opening the editor without opening an image and see if you get any farther.
PSE and iphoto are not designed to be used as you've been doing. You are trying to write to the iphoto library from outside iphoto, which is the fastest known way to corrupt the library and lose all your photos. -
OSX 10.6.8 Firefox 30.0 can't open images from google image search results
I can't left click on a google image search resultt to open the image. This works fine on Safari so is not a mouse issue. When I tried to ask this question in Firefox when I left clicked on the ASK THIS button nothing happened

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

I can NOT open my safari and lots of application in my Mac.
The startup disk may need repairing. Launch the Disk Utility app (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left. Then select the FirstAid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions). If the disk needs repairing, follow these instructions. You will need your install disc.
Insert your install disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
(In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first from the installer menu)
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your startup disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. Make sure there is always 15% free space.
Until you verify and repair the startup disk if necessary, it won't do much good to troubleshoot the Safari crash report.

I have nikon D810 , i can not open Nef format .
LR 5.6 is needed, and your destination needs to be writable by LR, and you cannot have touched the files with Nikon software that is old, like what you might have used with your previous Nikon camera, to transfer or view the images before importing into LR.
Obsolete Nikon software changes something in the metadata of newer-camera NEFs that makes the raw files unrecognizable to Adobe software. You can correct the corruption with a utility from here:

when i try to do a pano thru photomerge in pse11 on a mac i get the message error 1 can not open window. this was after i tried to fix error 22. i held down the com,option,shift keys just after a started photoshop aditor. help steve

Definitely try doing a File > Save For Web using the Photoshop Elements Editor (be sure not to save over your original photos), and then try to do a Photomerge Panorama on the resulting images.
Photomerge apparently has some issues with some kind(s) of EXIF metadata in files, and using Safe For Web strips this information out of the file.
This has worked for most (or perhaps all) of those that mentioned having this issue in this thread.
