I can not open PhotoshopCC "Could not complete your request the internal file signature is incorrect

I can not open Photoshop CC -  My older Photoshop CS6 opens fine. But, I keep getting a message when I try to open Photoshop CC: "Could not complete your request the internal file signature is incorrect

It seems your copy of PS CC is corrupted now hence this message.
As Noel suggested please try uninstalling PS and then install it again from CC app.
After successful installation verify.

  • "Could not complete your Request the internal File Signature is incorrect

Just downloaded the CC version of PS and it wont take...this error continues to pop up when trying to launch...
I have uninstalled twice, still no luck.
I have CS5 on same computer...not sure if this a conflict...

Sounds like some of the files on your disk have been corrupted.
Check the disk for problems (and make sure you have a backup).
Then you can try uninstalling, reinstalling, and reapplying the updates.

  • Photoshop CS6 updated Raw and now get message saying "Could no complete your request the file was not found." Help

I updated CS6 Camera Raw as it would not read my D7100 raw files. Since that I cannot open jpegs.
Also, I go to Photoshop - About Plug-In - Camera Raw and get a pop up window saying "Could not complete the Camera Raw command because the file was not found."

I apologize, guess I wasn't very good in giving info. It is on a Mac running Snow Leopard. I did the CS6 updates through Help/Updates but that did not update to where my camera (Nikon D7100) raw files could be read. I searched around on Adobe's site for the Camera Raw update that took care of reading them, forget what page I finally found a download link on but the update was a singular installer for Camera Raw. Once updated Photoshop CS6 stopped being able to 'find files' even when the file is dragged onto the Photoshop icon, or through the menu's Open. I have since uninstalled everything reinstalled the suite from the original installer. I know have a Photoshop that will open jpegs but just not my camera's raw files. Thanks for any help that you think might take care of the problem. I am not going to update the Camera Raw unless I can find out what happened and what to do to prevent it. I switched my camera to take jpegs until if and when I solve the mystery. :-) Thanks!

  • Could nt complete your request because source and destination files are the same

    Hi, thank you for reading.
I'm having this problem and it's driving me nuts.
I'm actually following a tutorial that you can check out here: http://nightshifted.tumblr.com/post/2559360661/tutorial-paused-animations
basically I'm trying to do a animated gif with canvas (I'm sorry if my english is not so great). when I try to drag the layers into the canvas (step 2 of the tutorial), I get the error: "could not complete your request because source and destination are the same".
can anybody help me? I have both CS3 and CS5 and they the error appears in both.
    thank you in advanced

I think they mean select the layers and frames and using the move tool, drag
inside the document (click inside the document window and drag) to move the
selected layers to the top half  (transparent area), not to drag the layers from
the layers palette into the document, which would give that error.

  • Can't open file: "Could not complete your request because of a program error"

I have a Photoshop file that suddenly won't open.  Last week I upgraded to CS5--the file had been created in CS3 prior to that.  When I try to open it, I receive this error message (in CS5): "Could not complete your request because of a program error."  I tried to open the same file in CS3; there, the file opens, but as soon as I try to do anything I get the same error message....which, annoyingly, re-appears the second I click "OK," so the only thing I can do in CS3 is force-quit.
I've used Time Machine to retrieve versions of the file that were saved four days ago, seven days, and several weeks ago, and I get the same message every time.  Even on versions that were last saved with CS3 (before I installed CS5).
Naturally, this is one of the most important files in my life right now....it's a 300 MB file that contains hundreds of layers and dozens of comps.  So the fact that I suddenly can't open it, after shelling out $1200 to upgrade to the latest and greatest Adobe has to offer, is, to say the least, distressing.
    Any advice will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    TheWocky

First thing I would do is investigate hard drive issues and the health of the OS.

If you are working with a file you modified in Lightroom, you should go to the Lightroom Photo menu and choose Edit in... and the version of Photoshop you want to open it in.
There a dialog will ask if you want to transfer the LR settings you made to your photo when you open in Photoshop.

    Oh, dear.
If you use PSE as your external editor for iphoto, you need to save the images back to iphoto by using Save, not Save As and not changing anything like the name or format that would bring up the Save As window. (You may need to adjust the editor prefs>saving files>on first save to save over existing.)
OR you can export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, use file>open in the editor and then change whatever you want and either import the saved image to the organizer or import it back to iphoto as a new file. What you are doing is extremely risky, particularly to the iphoto library which you may easily damage by your workflow.
I would start the organizer holding down the shift key, then create a new catalog and switch to the new one. Then try opening the editor without opening an image and see if you get any farther.
PSE and iphoto are not designed to be used as you've been doing. You are trying to write to the iphoto library from outside iphoto, which is the fastest known way to corrupt the library and lose all your photos.

  • Can't open PSD! "Could not complete your request because the required resources were not found."

    Hi all,
I am having some serious issues with Photoshop CC and have alread lost a few days of work to a random bug. I have spent the whole day working on Photoshop to try and catch up on the lost work.
I was saving the PSD, closed the document and then tried to reopen it to make a quick change and I got this error: "Could not complete your request because the required resources were not found.". I am now unable to open the PSD.
Has anyone ever seen this and does anyone know if there is a way of resolving the problem?
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Leigh

I found a hack-y way to work around this problem without losing work!
So I discovered fairly quickly that this is an unsolved problem that  NO ONE can explain the cause of.  Here are step-by-step instructions on how to save your layers without losing progress.
Convert ALL of your layers to a Smart Object.
    Right-click on the Smart Object
    Click "Export Contents..."
This opens up a Save As... Window, with your file name .PSB
    Name & Save.
I then quit Photoshop CS, re-opened, and had all of my layers, folders, and effects intact.  The only problem was that my Canvas was as large as my biggest layer (extending beyond my original canvas).  Just find the original background layer (or one that originally filled your canvas), Select it (Command + Click on the Layer thumbnail), and Crop it (Image > Crop).
    Hope this helps.

There is likely a font on that system that's corrupted or for some reason Photoshop just can't deal with.  Fonts are complex things, and it's well known that bad fonts can crash applications.
Ferreting out such a font is normally a matter of removing all but the default fonts, seeing that the problem is corrected, then adding the fonts back in systematically until the offender is isolated.  Yes, this can be tedious.
If it's not a font problem, there's a possibility it's a display driver problem.  To help diagnose that, go into Edit - Preferences - Performance, disable OpenGL Drawing, then restart Photoshop.  If the problem goes away, you'll want to check the web site of the maker of the video card for driver updates.  Don't forget to re-enable OpenGL Drawing again after updating the driver.
    Good luck.

Without proper system information and other details like what files you work with  nobody can tell you much. From corrupted prefs to issues with your PS swap file to actual problems with the fiel storage this could be anything.

  • Saved Tiffs will not open in CS2 and generate a "Could not complete your request because of a program error".

this was supplied by Ann Shelbourne.
Saved Tiffs will not open in CS2 and generate a "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
These files will often open in Photoshop 7.0.1 or in CS1 but not in CS2.
The trouble may be caused by bad dates in the EXIF data and can originate from an incorrectly-programmed digital camera; or from a scan that was created after after Jan1 of this year (because of a known bug in some scanner software).
If someone runs into the "Could not complete your request because of a program error" problem, and does not have CS1, try opening the Tiff in TextEdit.
The EXIF data is right at the top. Check the EXIF data for bad creation dates and change any incorrect ones there.
Save and close; and then the file will probably open in CS2 without a murmur.

    > If iPhoto causes problems why not open the images from the Finder?
I get the error if I open a file from within iPhoto using "OPen in external editor" and then alter it (or do not alter it) and try to save it over itself, or save it anywhere else.
I get the error if I do "Show file" in iPhoto to see the file in the Finder. Then, if I double-click and it opens in PS, and then alter it (or do not alter it) and try to save it over itself, or save it anywhere else.
    > And with »save it anywhere« You indicate that You use the Save As-command?
    Right.
