I can not open the app store

I had the app store but I deleted it from the dock and can no longer find it on my computer. I cant seem to re download it either

If you are running Snow Leopard v10.6, if it's not in your Applications folder reinstall the App Store using the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed
If the future, if you post for help, it really helps to tell us which Mac OS X you have installed. Thanks!

Here are some suggestions for getting the best results from this site.
Create a user profile that accurately reflects the type of hardware you're using and your version of OS X, or include that information in your first message.
Give details of the problem. A remark such as "X doesn't work" conveys no useful information. If X did work, you wouldn't be here. Instead, you should post something like this: "I did A; I expected B; but I got C." Include the complete, verbatim text of any error messages you saw, and specify where you saw them: in an application window, a CrashReporter window, a log, or whatever.
Also describe the steps you’ve taken yourself, if any, to try to resolve the issue. If the problem is of recent origin, did you make any changes to your setup just before you first noticed it? Is the problem reproducible or intermittent? That is, does it always manifest itself when you take a certain action, or only at unpredictable times?
Before posting, ask yourself whether it’s likely that you are the the only person ever to have had this problem. If not, search the discussions for answered questions similar to yours. If you found any pertinent information, but it didn't help, give details.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

I can't open the app store, safari the mail app, youtube app and the maps app. they try to open then close very quickly. what can I do?

Try downloading another app - any free app - that seems to reset something and the apps may start working again. Try that first. If that doesnt work, try these steps
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Your profile indicates your Mac is running v10.7.2
If that is correct, updating your system software may help.
Click Software Update from the Apple menu.
Restart your Mac after updates are installed then try the App Store.
If you can't update that way, there's a workaround.
Install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
Then restart your Mac and try the App Store.

  • After the ios7 updated I can not open the iTunes store in my iPhone 5

After the ios7 updated I can not open the iTunes store in my iPhone 5
    How can I fix it?

    Hi adrimomo,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Here are a few things you can try:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If you have tried those two things, refer to page 146 in the iPhone User Guide to Reset All Settings:
iPhone User Guide for iOS 7
    manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
Also, check your settings for Safari -- enable cookies and turn off private browsing - see page 57 of the iPhone User Guide above.
    Cheers,
    - Judy

Force close the App Store app and reset the iPad. No data will be lost when you reset the device.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • TS1368 I can not open the itunes store on my ipod touch

I can't open the itunes store on my ipod touch after syncing. It starts to load and just stops. It does not give me an error message.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign out and sign back in
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Can not use the app store

    hi, all
I just bought the iphone 6 in Singapore. Unfortunately, this iPhone can not download applications in the app store for free though. Are not all iphone can download applications for free?
    can anyone help me?
    thanks,
    rahajeng

    Hi Rahajeng,
I assume that it is the first time you're using iPhone? If so, I'd like to highlight the importance of having an Apple ID for every Apple devices.
Allow me to quote from Apple Support:
"An Apple ID is your user name for everything you do with Apple, such as shop the iTunes Store, enable iCloud on all your devices, buy from the Apple Online Store, make a reservation at an Apple Retail Store, and use certain resources on the Apple Support website (apple.com/support)."
As you can see, the Apple ID is like the main essence for enjoying any Apple devices that you've purchased. You can actually create this Apple ID the exact time when you buy your iPhone 6 at Apple retail store. Just ask the store clerk if you'd like the ease of creating Apple ID.
If you'd like to create custom Apple ID, simply follow these steps:
    1. Open the App Store
    2. Select any application that you'd like to download (I prefer any apps that are FREE, of course)
    3. While trying to install the application, there will be dialog box that suddenly pops up
    4. Select the 'Create a New Apple ID' button
    5. You will then be redirected to registration form
    6. Afterwards, simply fill in your personal information as detailed as possible
    7. If successful, there will be a validation request sent to the specified email address
    8. Click the validation link, so that your Apple ID can be validated
That's it! You've successfully created Apple ID and able to download any available applications from App Store!
    Regards,
    Risdian

  • I can not open my app store

hi ican not open my app store  page  keynote and... plz help me .thank you so much

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • I can not open my app store application

I can not update my app store app and it crashes every time I try.

I am having the exact same problem.  MacForums has been helping me, and I called Apple.  After trying everyone's suggestions, and Apple's, no success.
My App Store app still says "incomplete or damaged."  There is even a circle with a line through it on the icon.  Apple said reinstall my Snow Leopard upgrade disc (not my original Leopard disc) and then run the Combo Update (like your suggestion).  Did not work.  I also updated the software from "Software Update".  Rebooted.
I think this started after I replaced my hard drive with a SSD and moved the hard drive to where the DVD was.  I wonder if the person above who had the same problem also installed a SSD?
Anyway, anymore ideas?  Even Apple is stumped.
(In answer to the other post above, my Quicktime works fine.)

Just did some more reading.  I was going by the icon in the dock.  When I checked in Finder, there it was, fixed and brand new!!  Thanks, anyway.

If you haven't solved this yet, try re-installing the OS. If you have solved it, please share how you fixed it.
Do a backup. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions. Then reinstall the OS.
