If I try to add music or videos to my iTunes library nothing happens at all, even if the files are mp3 and mp4. But there´s no error shown to me. Just nothing happens. I know that this question was already asked, but there´s no answer which helpes me. It´s strange, because it works for nearly a year.

Hey Lumina710, Welcome to the Nokia Forums!
Im afraid if you are looking to put video or music content on your Lumia 710 you will have to download the files onto your PC and transfer them accross using Zune software. However you can still stream content rather than download it.
You can also purchase music in the Marketplace application.

Hm ... I guess I can't edit the post above. Anyway, I seem to have solved it by ...
Quitting iTunes.
Going into Home / Music / iTunes, and renaming the file "iTunes Library.itl" to "iTunes Library (corrupt).itl".
Entering Time Machine, and restoring the "iTunes Library.itl" file from a few days ago. I went back two days, which seemed far enough back to be "before" the problem but not far enough back to have trouble with recent acquisitions.
Re-opening iTunes - and everything seemed to be back in order.
So that's fine for now. We'll see if the solution is stable.
Very, very tentative assignment of blame: I believe iTunes crashed earlier today after I'd synced photos from my iPhone to iPhoto, and then iTunes crashed while iPhoto was closing (and taking its sweet time doing so). If that was indeed the case, that's at least the second time in the past couple of months that trying to sync iPhone photos to iPhoto has caused me significant problems. (The last time led to 80% of my iPhone suddenly being occupied by "Other", and a full restore of the darn thing.)

Thanks for your reply. I don't keep all of my music in the iTunes' designated music folder. I don't like the way iTunes reorganizes my songs and I keep all my music in my own self organized music folders as I don't use iTunes as my primary media application. Not to mention allot of my files come from all different corners of my computer's hard drive. It would literally take months to go through over 20 gigs of media files to pick out the songs I have in my iPhone library to rebuild an iTunes library. Like i said, I don't even use iTunes other than to transfer files to my iPhone. I thought the purpose of manually managing the files was so you don't have to sync it with the iTunes library but now it won't give my that option without requiring me to delete everything on my phone I worked so hard on.
What I don't understand is logically or technically why iTunes HAS to delete all the content off of my iphone. Who's decision in the Apple's software engineering department was to require the one's iPhone to be erased if someone loses their iTunes library? Its frustrating because it makes no sense and I feel as if the software is punishing me for reasons I don't understand by threatening to delete all my content off my phone. Is there absolutely no way to transfer my music to my iPhone without deleting everything currently on and completely rebuilding my music library from scratch?

Music plays in the Music app - not iTunes. Videos play in the Videos App - not in the Music App. Is that what you are doing? If you are using the correct apps for the appropriate content - quit the apps and restart.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Seriously, due to iTunes' file being locked with DRM and being in a format that is incompatible with the Zen, the only thing you could do is look for underground/illegal methods to remove the DRM and convert the file into unprotected MP3. Due to the illegality of the issue, I cannot provide instructions (that, and the fact that iTunes won't let me buy music from them because Malaysian money isn't good enough for them, therefore I haven't actually tried). I'm thinking of buying a Samsung blu-ray player with wireless connectivity. They have the Allshare feature so you can stream music and video content from your desktop to the player. I have read that it does not work with Mac - is that the case? Does anyone have experience of this?

Hi all. I just downloaded Solaris 10 and installed it. I haven't used it for a long time (since version 8), and as I can see now, there are many improvements. I just loved Java Desktop! :)
Can someone please tell me what libs or codecs etc, do I have to download and install in order to play music and videos (mp3, wmv, dvd etc), and where I can find them?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. mine did that to so i restored it and it fixed it now i have music and videos on my ipod, but keep in mind restoring it will erase everything on it so make sure everything is synced to the computer hope that helps:):)

Getting purchased music and video from itunes

I deleted some music and videos that i purchased from itunes store by accident from my computer. Is there a way that i can retrieve it from the store again without paying for it? I was able to view everything that I purchased but I couldn't find a way to download them again. Thanks

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so.
