I can not run Illustraor from a network account
Good morning,
I install Illusrrator CS 4 with an Admin account (Local).
Then I join my iMac in to a server Open directory.
Then I open a session with one of the account of the server open directoty.
But with a OD account, Illustrator is not reponding even if I attended to open it serveral time.
After, I tried with the local account, and it works.
Do you know why Illusraror is not reponding with a remote account?

If you are testing the report on your PC using reports services on your PC then you may need to initiailize the reprots server using

2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue. Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.

Can not Run Application from Client PC.
Hi,
I have a pc running on WinXP called "PC1". I have installed Oracle9i Database, Developer Suite 10g and services. I can run my application smoothly on "PC1".
My problem is that i can not run my application from client pc running on WinXP called "PC2". I have installed JINIT.exe on "PC2". I started OC4J also on "PC2". IE shows "Page can not be displayed" message.
What settings i have to do to run my application on Client i.e. "PC2".

I have already install same JINI.exe on Client "PC2" which is on Server "PC1". And the version of the IE and JINI are same on Server "PC1" and Client "PC2".
I start OC4J on Server.
Should i make some settings on JINI Control Panel on Client ? Like Proxies.
I have enable all check box on "Basic" Tab of JINI.
Further, On client, the check Box of "Show Java Console" is also on, but when i try to connect my application from IE, the Java console does not appear.
I would like to inform u that, when i start additional Proxy driver like Analog proxy on my server and then i give that proxy address and port in Client IE connection LAN setting, i am able to run my application from that Client.
But i think that is not the solution.

Can't run programs from non-admin account: redux
Background: I have years of experience with PCs, very little with Macs. I work with children in a group home. The tech support people who set up this iMac (OS X 10.2) have long since departed, and no one in the organization has any clue as to what changes they made to this system, and I'm sure that those tech people made some changes. For example, in admin accounts other than "root," either there is no access to the Utilities folder or the folder has been well hidden.
The Problem: The boys in this home will use a non-admin account. The programs I have installed for them will run under admin accounts but not under the "boys" account, which is non-admin. The system tells me that the account does not have enough access privileges to run the programs. (Program that had been installed before I got access to this iMac will run under the "boys" account.)
In discussions on this forum several months ago, I thought the answers I got here had helped me solve the problem. Then, for administrative reasons, I did not touch the iMac until last week. What I thought had been solved is not solved.
From "root," using the "Capabilities" option in the Accounts folder, I have added to the "Add other applications..." section the programs I want "boys" to have access to. But this doesn't work. When I log in to "boys," access is denied: insufficient access privileges.
If I give up on this system, the boys will not be able to use this iMac, and that would be a shame.I realize that it sounds like I ignored all the previous advice before I drafted this latest post. But the first thing I did when I returned to the iMac was to look at the posts.
I didn't touch the system for six months. I was waiting for approval from administration to upgrade the OS. By the time I got the approval, upgrading was no longer an option -- according to the manager of the local Genius Bar. This system is not capable of running 10.5, and Apple will no longer sell 10.4. I can find 10.4 on the Net, but those are private sellers and the price is too high.
Now that I've got that out of the way, the current task: I have no idea why, but the gains I accomplished six months ago have disappeared. The "boys" account can run none of the software I installed. No one else has touched the system. (I live alone.)
I logged on as "root" and went to Accounts. Using 10.2's Capabilities function, I tried to check all the boxes for "boys." But when I close the screen and then re-open it, the system has unchecked "Open all System Preferences"; "Change Password"; and access to "Utilities."
At this point I cannot create new folders under "boys." "boys" can run software that was installed before I got the machine, but that's all.
I have to assume that I inadvertently did something that wiped out my previous gains. But I ain't got a clue. -
Can't run programs from non-admin account
I'm new to the Mac and rusty with -- but not new to -- UNIX. I'm working with an iMac running OS X 10.2. I have installed several programs in a non-admin account (called "boys"), but they will not run from that account. The "get info" screen tells me that the "boys" account is the owner of the program. Read/write permission is enabled. When I try to run the programs, I get this error message: "The operation could not be completed because you do not have enough access privileges." I have installed the same programs in an admin account, and the programs run just fine from that account. I'd like to get this working so that the boys in the "boys" account can actually use the system. I have "inherited" this system from prior users. Programs that were on the system when I got my hands on it do run -- for the most part -- from "boys."

I did this for two reasons: 1) I hoped that this would give me more control over what was happening; and 2) I wanted to give the children with whom I am working an easy way to find the programs that I want them to use. When I use < cd /users/boys > and then do an ls- l, I see the Programs folder. An ls -l on that folder shows all the program I have loaded and indicates that the "x" permission is applied to owner, group and others. Moreover, I assumed (incorrectly, perhaps) that installing the programs using the "boys" non-admin account would make them the "owner" of the programs and that "x" permission would follow. Well, ls -l indicates that they are the owners and that they do have execute permission. I can only guess that the prior users of this system -- and nobody in this organization seems to know where they are -- did something that requires more than Advil to overcome.

New user can not run ping from shell

I am an extreme novice, but I have been able to install Solaris 10 on a SunBlade 100 and have created a second user. I want to be able to telnet or ssh to my system as the second user and then run pings and traceroutes from there to other network devices.
If I remote log in as root I get a # prompt and can run ping. If I remote log in as the second user I get a $ prompt even though the group [0], base directoty [], and shell [sbin/sh] are identical to root in the /etc/passwd file. If I try to run ping I get: ping: not found.
What do I need to configure for the second user so that the login receives the # prompt and is able to run pings?

GregI'm missing something. I want to create a user that is equal to the root. The root has # prompt and can run ping with no extra work. What do I need to do to my second user to get access to the # prompt and the ability to just type and run ping ?Oohhhhhhhhhh, root has that other prompt and his PATH statement is setup properly and mine isn't so I need to be him instead of fixing the user account.
You can set any users prompt to anything you want. You can make root's prompt a dollar sign instead if you want to and you can set an ordinary users prompt to the # symbol so what does that prove?
All you need to do is to fix the PATH statement in ~/.profile for bash or sh and the user no longer needs to type the full path or use ./ to run a command.
You have a lot to learn.

First: I'm completely new to Oracle, even my english is not very good - i'm sorry for that.
Problem:
I want to run a report from a Form using the Report Server.
If i use:

Yesterday night, somebody stole my Iphone.

I still can not send email from my .mac account or a .comcast.net from my ipad. I how 2 people so far that has brought to my attention. We have exchange accounts setup on the ipads for work. I compare the settings from iPad to iPhone from my view it appears identical. I am looking at an iPad 2 and a Mini.
I turned on and off the ipads and nothing really changed. The emails come into those accounts.
Any suggestions?

Can not receive emails from third party email accounts
Recently I started working for a small business which has small business server 2011 and exchange 2010 installed. Before I started there were eight user accounts and they all have unlimited email access. I created a few users through sbs AD and also from
exchange console a week ago. Unfortunately none of them can not receive emails from third party accounts. they all can receive internal emails and also can send mails to any email accounts internally and externally.
This is a night mare for me as new users are having trouble with communicating via mails. I have tried all the methods and now thought of posting this issue on tech net. Please help me on this!!

SammyChecklist for testing inbound email problems, I am assuming outbound emails works ok.
1. Check Port 25 forwarding on all modems routers/firewalls
2. MX Record is created and pointing to the correct Public IP Address, use MXToolbox.com to verify MX Record and test SMTP flow. Also Verify your public IP has not changed, use whatsmyip.org to check you public IP
3. If using POP Connector Service, make sure POP accounts are created properly
4. If using a 3rd party spam host, make sure they forward email to correct public IP address, use step 2 to verify your public IP. -

I'm very new to mySql as server. When I was assigned
to write the application, the administrator has set
up mySql database in the company web server for my
application. My program runs very when using my
workplace desktop with java web start or with java
web start in netbeans (all paths should be link to my
desktop hard disk, i.e. users/application/). I can
not run the application at home because I can not
access to the company intranet server (for security
purpose). The problem happens when I post the
application in the company web page (I have to modify
all paths in jnlp file to the company web address).
The program then runs without exception except it
seems that it gets no data from the database (for
example, when I type my username, it returns that
"There is no such user name. contact.." as what I
code in the application for not correcting user name)
It happens for not only using my company desktop but
also for others.
Please help me.

Seeing as how you get that error, the obvious answer was, "No." At which point we could have continued.
Configure the needed users into the DB, without forgetting to allow them access from the machines from which they are going to access from.
Although, I agree with Rene, that you should set up a server of some sort, located on the same machine as the DB, for communicating with the DB. -
Hi, I got the problem with Firefox 27.0.1. I can not run Selenium on Firefox after login a website for automation testing. The browser is not responding. However when I close Nunit, the page is back to be normal. The title is returned to the name of website without "not responding". I sure this problem did not happen on Firefox version 26. I just got this problem when firefox upgrading automatically to version 27. Please help me fix this problem because it is very important for my work. YES Terence! Thank you. Exporting allowed me to move my photos from iPhoto into the Burn Folder on my desktop. But that doesn't explain why I'm having to go that route now. Have I done something (accidentally changed some setting) on my computer that will not allow me to just click and drag anymore? I really liked the convenience of the click and drag option.
I don't have the time tonight to export and burn a lot of CD/DVDs. I'll try that tomorrow and make sure my photos are moving properly. I also need to export photos to my external hard drive to make sure that route is working.
Wouldn't you know that my Apple Care Plan runs out this Wednesday?! I need to make sure everything is working properly before that expires.
