I can not see my app store

I can no see my app store at the bottom of my home screen any longer. Actually this is my daughters and her OS is old. I'm trying to update it so I can get 10 but I can not seem to find the app sote. Please help.

If you have Mac Os x 10.5.8 Installed on your computer then there is no App store in that os version you need atleast 10.6.6 or later to have App store.
First you will have to Identify your Mac Model and see which Mac Os X version is compatible with your Mac.
On your Mac click on the Apple Logo which is at the Top left corner on your Mac screen and go to About this Mac and there click on More Info and then use the below link to Identify your Mac Model

Once you are able to get the Model and Year of your Apple Computer you will have to first Purchase and Install Snow Leopard (10.6) Operating System on your Mac and Update it to (10.6.8) to get App STore from where you can then download and Install the other version of Os X if they are compatible with your Mac.

    Force close the App Store app and reset the iPad. No data will be lost when you reset the device.
    In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
    Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    lately, i do not know why my imac can not connect to the app store ... i followed the instructions in "http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5202" except the Edit your Keychain ... there is NO blue + over any certificates icon ... i still can not connect to the app store...
    i could have the app store display the front page after doing all instructions according to the web page ... when i click the login button try to log in and it display the empty page with "Can Not Connect To App Store"...

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

    Your profile indicates your Mac is running v10.7.2
    If that is correct, updating your system software may help.
    Click Software Update from the Apple menu.
    Restart your Mac after updates are installed then try the App Store.
    If you can't update that way, there's a workaround.
    Install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
    Then restart your Mac and try the App Store.

    Are you running Vista ?  Did you just update Vista security patches ?  Did you just update to IE 9.0 ?

    I can not update my app store app and it crashes every time I try.

    I am having the exact same problem.  MacForums has been helping me, and I called Apple.  After trying everyone's suggestions, and Apple's, no success.
    My App Store app still says "incomplete or damaged."  There is even a circle with a line through it on the icon.  Apple said reinstall my Snow Leopard upgrade disc (not my original Leopard disc) and then run the Combo Update (like your suggestion).  Did not work.  I also updated the software from "Software Update".  Rebooted.
    I think this started after I replaced my hard drive with a SSD and moved the hard drive to where the DVD was.  I wonder if the person above who had the same problem also installed a SSD?
    Anyway, anymore ideas?  Even Apple is stumped.
    (In answer to the other post above, my Quicktime works fine.)

    Just did some more reading.  I was going by the icon in the dock.  When I checked in Finder, there it was, fixed and brand new!!  Thanks, anyway.
