    I'm not that familiar with how FaceTime works. I know how to set It up but I don't use it. I just know that you can't activate in the UAE. I believe that you can activate in any country that permits it's use. Whether you will need a new ID or not, I can't confirm.
    You can Google this and get all sorts of articles on workarounds. Apparently if you set up a VPN you can use it in the UAE. Here is one article that I found.

  • Can not sign into FaceTime or iMessage on ipad air

    For some reason I can not sign into FaceTime or iMessage using my Apple ID anymore. They both used to work, but they just stopped.. Now when I try to sign back in I get a message than an error occurred during sign in. I use two different Apple id's, one just for iCloud and one for everything else.

  • Can not use imessage/facetime on new iPhone 5 and can not get iPhone 4s and 5 to remember any wireless networks.

    Two weeks ago I got an iPhone 4s and an iPhone 5 from a local carrier in central and eastern Kentucky called Appalachian Wireless. We had our numbers ported with AT&T. My iPhone 4s can use imessage/facetime but my wife's iPhone 5 can not. It just says waiting for activation and after several hours it will then say activation unsuccessful please turn imessage/facetime off and back on to activate. When we got the iPhones my carrier said it could take 30 days to activate due to our numbers being ported. My 4s took less than 3 hours to activate imessage/facetime but my wife's 5 still hasn't activated. A few days ago we went back to our carrier to get a problem fixed with our regular text messaging and we informed of our problem with imessage/facetime and they told us the most it has taken to activate was 2 days. I know I can use an apple id/e-mail to use imessage/facetime but I want her number to show up. Also neither iPhone will remember our wireless network. Every time we leave our house and come back we have to go to settings and choose our network. Is there a way I can fix these problems and have her imessage/facetime activated and use her phone number and have our iPhones remember our wireless network?

    As these are user to user support forums, there will be no official response from Apple posted here. 
    Basic forum ettiquette is search before posting, so why post again if you've already searched?  Seems rather unintelligent.

  • Can not activate Imessage & FaceTime

    Since I update my iPad to ISO6 can not login to imessage and FaceTime , error message " user or password are incorrect".
    I just update my IPad to 6.0.1 and can NOT  activite my imessage & FaceTime , I was able to use both application before ISO6, while they are working on my iPhone!!!
    I have tried many things, rest setting, chane apple password ,.....etc but never help!
    I hope someone could provide me a solution.

    I, i have a iphone 4 and i'm able to call a friend with ipod touch 4 and my mother in here imac but, when each one attemp to call me with facetime, the call is not appear in my iphone. I have check her set up and my email adresse is good and each use this to call me.

    Try using your iPhone from a different wi-fi hotspot location.
    If you can send and receive FaceTime invitations from more than one other place like Apple Store, internet cafe, coffee shop, etc., you need to troubleshoot your home wireless network as suggested in these articles:

    If your FaceTime cannot properly work from any location, see your Apple-Authorized Service Provider to have your phone checked.

  • Since I updated to iOS 8 I can not answer any facetime call on my iPad mini.  Anyone else got this problem?

    SSince I've upgraded, when a FaceTime call comes in to my ipad, I can't answer it.  I have to let it ring off and then call the person back.  Has anyone else got this problem?

    I assume that you mean that you do see the Accept and Decline buttons and that they are not working, any time an app does not work as expected, you start with basic troubleshooting steps which would be to close the app and delete and reinstall it. You cannot delete or reinstall the iOS preinstalled apps. So try closing FaceTime completely, and reset/reboot the iPad
    In order to close apps in iOS 7 or 8, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
    If that didn't help, this can also cure weird little issues on iOS devices. You can also try resetting all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.

    there has been a big problem with facetime and imessage. The best solution for this case is to restore your device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
    Make sure you back it up. and I would set up facetime before you reinstall your backup and  make sure its working.

    Are you messenging to someone who also has an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, who has updated their software to iOS 5 or higher?  For facetime, you can only facetime to someone on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch as well and the person you are trying to facetime with has to also have Wifi on at the time you try to facetime them.

    My FaceTime was working with no issues at all,but one day I turned my iPod on and went to face time and it asked me to sign up. So I used existing account and signed in with my apple id,and password.It says my password is incorrect.

    I had this problem too. As it turns out, when you first sign in to FaceTime, it saves that password. If you have changed your Apple ID account password since the first time you used FaceTime on your device, it will reject that password, even though it is right. Basically, FaceTime thinks it needs the original password. This means that you will have to restore. If you haven't changed your password though, I am not sure.

  • Can not connect to FaceTime

    Hi! I just upgraded to Lion a while ago. I'm trying to login to FaceTime on my iMac but I keep getting: "Could not sign in. Pelase check your network connection and try again." My wi-fi network is fully functional, so I don't understand what could be the problem. Could it be because my iPhone and iPad don't have FaceTime or is it a device independent app. Any advice?
