I just bought my new mac a few weeks ago and today I can not use it because the switch on do not work.

Its very frustrating, as this error then transfers over to my ipod every time I sync it. When I choose the info. for the songs, it has them correctly listed (i.e., it lists the songs as being #1 of 19 on the CD, for example). But then the song will have placed by Itunes as #5 of 19 for whatever reason. Itunes does not do this every time, but does it with enough frequency to be maddening. Any thoughts?

The problem of tracks becoming de-linked between iTunes and the music files in your iTunes music folder happens for different reasons - this seems to come up fairly commonly in this forum.
The solution can be to locate each song in the iTunes library, as you mentioned - or, but wait, before I get to that...
trouble finding the original track in your iTunes music folder? maybe look for it under compilations, or if not using the 'group compilations preference' then look in the folder under the songs artist name, but what song artist name iTunes uses depends on what you have in the metedata tag spot for album artist or song artist. Any varyation in artist name spelling, in the menu item 'get info' metadata for any selected individual track will cause iTunes to create that as a separate artist folder in the library, even names like 'various' or any difference at all (even the word 'the' can change where in your iTunes music folder a track gets placed by iTunes). You can try to use the finder function of find file (finder munu item outside of iTunes) to locate hard to find items.
Back to how to re-link any de-linked tracks .
There may be scripts that can help re-link de-linked music files - or, at least provide you a list of such files, Scripts are easy to install and use...

Tabstrip control can not switch (Do not respond when focus on field of subscreen)

Hi Colleagues,
     I have met with a very strange question, which worries me a lot these days. Would you please help me with it?
     The problem is like this:
     1. In normal case, I can switch to another tab when I click it. Please see picture in the attachment (Tabstrip1.png)
     2. But when I click on field on the subscreen of one tab, set focus on one field, in the picture of attachment switch2.png, I can not switch to another tab, it just does not respond. I really do not know why this happens.
     Could any colleague give an answer or hint about it? Thanks a lot!!

just seems odd why they say 95% of the material is in the prep stuff seems too easy.

If you mean that the screen is frozen then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

APEX 5: can not switch the developer env to GERMAN

Hi,
After some days dealing with the english version, I installed the German Language pack as mentioned in the Installation Guide with the langDE.sql. If I swich to German on the developer login page, I can run the appliaction, but i can not call any edit page.
There is only a error message ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error .
May be I missed to set a language environment or something like this? Any advices for me, please?

thanks for letting us know. The issue is already tracked with bug# 20929652. It's an NLS issue with the Splitter used on different pages. May I ask which OS and Browser you are using?
To workaround the issue, login with English user interface, go to SQL Workshop -> SQL Commands and execute

After successfully installing and registering my new adobe premiere elements 12 and had created the organizer, I still can't switch from organizer mode to editor mode to edit a file (photo).

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Have you updated 12 to 12.1 Update via a project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so.

Just how are you trying to do that...
a. Are you in the Elements Organizer 12 workspace, right clicking the photo's thumbnail, and selecting Edit with Premiere Elements Editor
or
b. Something else.
Is there an error message that results when you try to switch "from organizer mode to editor mode" and cannot?
When you mention "....to edit a file (photo)", I wonder if you are not trying to get to Photoshop Elements 12 Editor, not Premiere Elements 12 Editor, from the Elements Organizer 12.
Please supply a step by step of what you are doing so that we can be sure that we are in sync on the details that we are using to work through your issue.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I am in Uruguay, South America and the original company is Movistar ( Telefonica) and the new sim card is from ANTEL ( the officail and biggest company in my country).
