You don't need to create another post. Just keep responding to the first discussion that you started. I'm sorry that the restart and reboot didn't work, but it gets a little confusing when you create a new discussion every time you want to respond.

Today I sent a message on the Mail program that did not appear in the Sent messages or any other Mail folder. I know I sent it only because it was included in a reply that came back. Didn't happen with any other messages I sent today (or any others that I can recall). What gives? I used to have complete faith in my Sent folder. If so, that's what I wanted anyway. But I never thought about this box in Mailbox behavior, as I tend to go with default settings, and I'm no computer expert as you can tell.
Also, now that I've changed the setting, will previous Sent messages continue to be stored on the server?
It will only apply to new messages. Try it out and see if you can see your Sent messages. If you want them to be accessible on other devices, you will have to change the setting back. Just changing the setting a couple of times may get the online account working properly, so don't be afraid to play around with it.
If this is a MobileMe account, I would expect it to work properly. Try it in local mode. Then switch it back to server mode. Rebuild your send mailbox. Maybe after all of that it will be working better. -

its happening since 3 days that i get a updates for my paid and free apps in app store, for my oiphone 4s, when i try to update the message pops up saying that i " you can not update this software since you dont own a major version of the software"
i have many paid apps and i own each and every one of them all are under my apple id and all purchased directly from apple store.
the same thing is also happening with the updates for my macbook pro.
whats wrong ? app store bug ?

thanksI just have 1 apple Id . I don't have multiple accounts on App Store. All the apps were purchased from same apple id.

I went to update my software for my iPad 2 and my ipad has been frozen for hours on the connect to itunes screen. I unplugged it and tried to recover it but it doesn't work. When I connect it back to my computer it says ITunes has detected an ipad in recovery mode. You must restore this ipad before it can be used with itunes.

iOS 7 requires iTunes version 11.1. If your software updates are not seeing the update for whatever reason, you can download and install it directly from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Keep in mind the requirements to download iTunes 11.1:

i have a iphone 3gs and recently I Erase All Contents and Settings, now my phone is asking me to update to itunes but when I do it comes up with the message...error 10.15, can someone please help?

I have taken over my daughter's computer but can't re-install the office for mac 2008 software even though I have one licence left because it comes up with the old product number from her licence. I ahve renamed the computer but wehn I tried to install again there was no option to enter the new licence number

Try disabling your firewall; both on your PC and the external Firewall/Router.

Apps are always tied to the ID that was used to purchase them. If you bought the apps with old username and password, you have to continue to use them to update the apps.
If you changed the username because you got a new email address, sign out of your old ID in Settings>iTunes and App Store. Tap the old ID and sign out then sign in with the new/changed ID. -

I plugged in my phone to update to the latest software. After a while, I went back to the PC and it said there had been a problem and that I needed to restore the factory settings.

When I now plug the phone it the screen looks like when you first get it - i.e. itunes logo and asking me to plug in.If the device has been used as designed, the pics and via taken with the device would have regularly been copied off to a computer.
The first step in the update process via iTunes on the computer is a backup.
Restore the device from the most recent backup.
If data is lost, then it is merely the fault of the user for not backing up the device or saving their data regularly.
Once the device is in recovery mode, the ONLY option is to restore.
