I can not upgrade my iphone5 to ios 6.12, as a message of error occured 3194. Please help!
Check Hosts file. Delete all entries gs.apple.com or put # in front of all such lines. Reboot and restore again.

I've just got back of holiday and while there my phone decided to turn itself off, it would not come back on unless I plugged it into the wall charger, it said that I had to connect it to iTunes, but being on holiday I couldn't.
So when I got home yesterday I plugged it into my laptop and the Apple logo came on, and then went off again, then back on and off again, it was doing this untill I unplugged it. So I put it into recovery mode and it said Connect to iTunes, so I did. It then said that the phone needed to be restored, iTunes started this process, 'extracting software' it said, and then once that was done it said 'preparing iPhone for restore' but then my phone disconnects itself from the laptop and then connects again then disconnects again. Then iTunes comes up with a message saying 'iTunes can not restore this iPhone 'iPhone', a unkown error occured (21)'
I have tried over and over again to try and do this but it keeps coming up with the same.
Does anyone know what's wrong with my iPhone and how I can fix it?

I can't get rid of the message, n error occurred with the publication of album. It just keep coming back, and can't move around in IPhoto.
Okay, folks, after a 3 1/2 hour phone call with a (very patient) telephone support person at Blackberry, here's what I learned.
You can check your USB drivers this way:
Plug in your phone into your USB drive. Assuming your Blackberry is "seen" by your computer...
Go into the Device Manager on your computer (control panel)
Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers item on the bottom of the list
Right-click on BlackBerry Smartphone and choose Properties
Click on the Driver tab
Click on the Driver Details button
You should see one driver. I saw two. The one the BlackBerry likes is the RimUsb one.
So here's what NOT to do: We tossed the entire driver that was the "extra". This effectively made using my mouse and keyboard impossible, as they are USB, and sent my poor husband into the basement to find a million-year-old keyboard (and then a mouse) with the old fashioned kind of connectors (PS2). Bleh. Don't do that.
Here's what I did that worked (not saything this will work for you -- this modifies the Registry so better do a system backup with that backup and restore if you're nervous about this sort of thing):
From the start menu, choose run, and type regedit to get into the Registry editor.
Follow this file path: Computer, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Class
Click on: {36FCE60-C465-11CF-8056-4445535400000}
If there's an item on the right called "UpperFilters", delete it. (see pictures)

Every time I try to turn on FileVault I get a message "an error occured during encryption (An error occurred during copying). FileVault won't be turned on for this account".
The file is only 96GB and I have 800GB free spaceI had this issue with my Mac Pro. I needed to turn off Filevault because it was causing performance issues with my Adobe video editing software. I got the same message you did. It took some time, but I finally figured out how to solve the problem!! If you look in the console (Finder/Go/Utilities/Console) and go to the system log, you will be able to pinpoint what happened when the filevault failed to turn off. In my case, it was a few Firefox profile cahe files that were an issue (so I copied the profile folder to another disk, trashed the folder on my system drive, then emptied the trash). Then I tried again, and this time it was because of a few photos that were "locked". I unlocked the offending images and then tried once again and SUCCESS! I then replaced the Firefox profile folder to it's original location and everything is working like a charm. But most definately if people have "locked" folders or photos, Filevault will not be able to copy them and delete the encrypted version. I wish I had found a thread like this when I was going through my Filevault nightmare! Would have saved me a lot of trouble, worry and aggravation.
If you really need to keep files encrypted or protected, simply create an encrypted disk image and keep only the files you want to protect in that image. It's extremely easy to do if you have Carbon Copy Cloner (An amazing and highly recommended FREE system backup and hard drive cloning app. It will create a backup of whatever files or folders you chose and create a 128bit or 256bit password protected encrypted disk image that you can very easily access at any time.

1. Photoshop 14.2.1 is now two releases out of date. You might want to go to your Creative Cloud application and ask it to install Photoshop CC (2014). Earlier this year Adobe released 2014.0 as a separate install that can live side by side with 14.2.1. Then just a few days ago they released 2014.1 as an in-place upgrade to 2014.0.
2. You may be able to update Camera Raw directly to version 8.6 by a link from this page:

Despite it is claimed in Adobe forum that Lightroom is fully compatible with OS Maverics on my MacBook Air IT IS NOT. A message "an error occurred while attempting to change modules" appears every time I try to open Lightroom. This happened immediately after upgrading to Mavericks. On my doughter's same machine Lightroom works perfectly. Can anyone help?
Surely the Adobe forums are the place for help with Adobe applications. The fact that the problem doesn't occur on your daughter's machine suggests that it's not an issue with Mavericks but a local problem on your own machine.

I was trying to upgrade to OSX 10.9 but during the upgrade when the download got to 2.6gb /5.29gb message "an error occurred" appeared and since then i have been un able to upgrade, what can i do.
If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.
searching the internet i found a link to upgrtade to 10.7
The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.

Can not initilize photoshop because of a program error message
I am getting a can not initilize photoshop because of a program error message. I recently upgraded to a new Mac book pro running Mavericks. My older Macbook pro that I migrated from also was running mavericks abd it ran fine on that . This morning photoshop CC started fine but a couple hours later I got the can not initilize photoshop because of a program error message
try uninstalling, running the cleaner (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html), restarting your computer and then reinstalling.

I can not upgrade the iOS on my phone, nor sync the phone because the process starts with backing up the phone which always hangs up at the backing up stage and then will not allow further progress.
And for this I guess that it is the backing up of my Podcasts - which are free downloads that causes the hang up. These are items that I have played and synced before without issues. I am thinking this way because these are Podcasts that I used to play but sundenly would not play on my iPhone. Each time I try to play anyone of them it generates the message - this movie could not be played.
I am scared of atempting a system restore because I guess I may lose my SMS for the past two months. Please approach the solution from this point of view.

The app store in my iphone can not upgrade
As you can see, when I want to upgrade the app, it shows grey,which make I can not upgrade it.
But when I click Genius, it shows white, and recommends me apps without mistakes.

Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.

Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
Or this ...
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

ever since installing iLike i can no longer get into the iTunes store. in fact even after uninstalling iLike nd even iTunes and then reinstalling iTunes i still have the issue... iTunes works fine in all other ways but CRASHES when i go to the store.
