I can only hear my record enabled track when recording,not when just playing

This has to be a simple one - normally I can hear my record enabled track when playing back or recording but suddenly i can only hear it when I am actually recording. I must have accidentally selected an option i am unaware of - can someone please help!

In case anyone is also stuck I went to Options->Audio where there is an Auto Input Monitoring option. I turned it off and it fixed my issue.

I think you can only use audio if it's recorded on channel 1 or it does not recognize it.

can anyone help me i think i screwed up my computers sound and i dont know how. I can only hear sound from musicmatch jukebox when i play a song. i cannot hear sounds from any of my games or othe applications. please help me!

Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact Apple Support.

Why all do videos stop when i maximize them on youtube ? i can only hear sound. It hasnt happened before. It works with other browsers. I wouldnt like to change mozilla.

I think this happened a couple of weeks ago. I sudden realized that everytime i change the quality of a clip on youtube or simply maximize it the video stops playing .. i can only hear the sound. Trying with different browsers works just fine. Please help

I cannot hear the caller's voice when I receive a call. I can only hear them when I turn on speaker phone. What can I do?

Even if I have a good signal on my iphone 4 I cannot hear any sound when I answer a call. I can only hear the caller's voice when I press the speaker phone button. Please help as have fiddled with setttings to no avail and taken out SIM card and restarted. No joy. Thanks.

I,m new to Elements 10 and have just started editing. I just dragged a clip onto my timeline but can only hear one audio channel. I know there are two tracks, how can I mix both through?

Hi Steve, thanks for your help. but this has really got me beat. When I play the track straight off my computer I hear all audio tracks. But then I “get media” bring the clip in and listen off the elements timeline – I only hear track one???
So my computer must be fine?
When you say “Can I see both right and left channel in the wave form? Its hard to tell – am I meant to be looking at the “green strip “ on the timeline? Its so very small. - I see a yellow line and a grey line underneath? what am I looking at. Its very frustrating because I am trying to edit a friends concert and the music is on track one – but the atmos and applause is on the other 3 tracks – but all I can hear is the music

When burned to a disk i can only hear most tracks through the left speaker!

alright, i recently recorded a few songs they consist of a looped drumbeat some software and real instruments. I made sure all were panned to the center, but when i listen to it on a cd or on itunes i can only hear a majority of the parts through the left speaker. the part that comes through the right speaker is the looped drum beat. So if anyone has any suggestions or something i just missed please let me know. thanks.

Can only hear static

Hi, I'm currently using Audition 1,5. I've used it for recording with my microphone and it has always worked correctly.
I've recently bought the Tascam US-122L to plug in my guitar in the computer.
Well, that works fine, I can hear my guitar correctly and it works great with Guitar Rig.
BUT, when I try to record with Audition, i can only hear static or small "pops"
It might be my Tascam, but I highly doubt it.
There is probbably a setting I didn't enter right..
Can anybody tell me what to do in order to be able to record myself through Audition 1.5?
I've attached a picture of what the static looks like in Audition.

Ok, your Tascam should have ASIO drivers. Since you've been getting results from Guitar Rig, I'll assume you have that installed...
To access the Audition Windows Sound driver for Audition 2.0:
1. In Audition 2.0, choose Edit > Audio Hardware Setup.
2. Select the tab at the top for the area of Audition you want to configure (Edit View, Multitrack View and Surround Encoder). The default driver appears in the Audio Driver drop down list as Audition Windows Sound.
Note: If an ASIO driver supplied by the sound card manufacturer is installed, it will also appear in this menu. (Your Tascam should be in the list)
Your windows should look something similar to the attachment, just select the Tascam as your device. Once you have it set up in the audio settings, you'll have to go into the Multitrack view and asign the input to each track you want to record to. There's a spot on each track to set the input (second image with the red arrow pointing to the input option, note it says none on the image, yours should say tascam in 1 or something similar).

Can only hear sound out of one ear in iPod 30gb

My nephew can only hear sound from one ear of his headphones.
1) he's not becoming deaf and we've tried multiple pairs of headphones that give the SAME result.
2) the volume settings are correct, so its not that.
What are the options here? Is there a known fix? If its a hardware issue, can Apple do anything (free under warranty or repair with charge)?

I'm not really sure what visor is, I am assuming it is an app or a webpage that you are watching on your iPad and trying to airplay to the Apple TV.
Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues).

Back it up in iTunes! Just make a backup of the entire device but make sure you check sync contacts and the option to add contacts from phone to address book on computer.

My iMovie is skipping like crazy when I try to edit and then goes to a black screen and you can only hear the audio!?!? What's happening??

I use iMovie almost everyday for Youtube videos. I have nothing in my imovie except the 5 clips that I'm editing now. I have all my media on an external hard drive and delete everything after I'm done with ( I empty all trash cans).
