I can only see 5 minutes of an imported 16 minutes clip? Help!

So I import a new clip and iMovie tells me that 16+ minutes were imported, but when I'm viewing the clip once in iMovie it says that it is only 5:46... Then entire last 10 minutes of my video are gone.
Any ideas?
Am I just not viewing the full clip somehow or did the import actual get screwed up?

I would recommend this:
Right-click on your 16 minute clip (in the Event) and select "reveal in finder". Open it in QuickTime Player. See if all 16 minutes are there. If not, the import got screwed up.
If all 16 minutes are there, it could be that the process of generating thumbnails was interrupted. Close iMovie. You can go into the Event file in the finder and delete the folders called "iMovie Cache" and "iMovie Thumbnails". Then open iMovie and let it regenerate the thumbnails.

Can only see emails no later than two weeks old! HELP!

Hello there. We use Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010 and I am having an issue with one user. She called yesterday to tell us that she was looking at her inbox and she noticed that she couldn't see any email after two weeks old. This user uses two different
computers, one at her desk and then one at the front secretary desk where she sits about 2 days a week.
I then checked to see if she had any filters on, even started outlook.exe /cleanviews, /cleanrules, and /safe and still couldn't see past two weeks. I then checked to see if cache mode was checked and it was not on either computer. Checked her deleted
folder and there was nothing in there but then did a restore and there was tons of stuff in there, so I restored it all because she said that it looked like it was the stuff but I don't think it was. Anyways, the restore didn't work and there are still only
two weeks of emails in her inbox. She's one of the few people here that go through all her emails and delete a lot of them and put some in folders that she really needs to keep.
I then checked around the other folders that she has and there were emails from way back, even going back years. Just to make sure, I enabled her OWA access and signed into her account on there and it had the same stuff that her outlook has so I don't think
it's application related.
I'm wondering if there is anything else that I can check that could be causing this issue. I would be very appreciative for any help that can be offered.

You cannot see the missing emails from OWA, right?
Have you checked if the emails were archived to a psf-file? You can also check the AutoArchive setting by right-clicking on Inbox and selecting Properties, then click
AutoArchive tab. Check if you set the "Clean out items older than" option to "2 weeks".
If so, you can try to open the PST file from File > Open > Open Outlook Data File. By default, the archive PST file is stored under: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Outlook Files.

Making a slide show and can only see the top 1/4 of the bottem line of photos in the project. help?

I am working with beat markers and it was going along fine until suddenly everything went awry. I dropped in a bunch of photos and the last photo assigned itself a time of over 3 minutes. Beat markers are at less than 1 second. I have removed the beat markers for the photos I want to remove, in order to try again. When I try to delete the 3 minute picture the entire project loses its beat markers AND on top of all of that, I can only see the top 1/4 of the pics in the bottom line of the project. I've tried several work arounds and can't fix this. Anyone have suggestions?

Can only see New apps in iPad app store

Seems kind of pointless to search for apps on the iPad app store, when it will only show you the "new" ones. When I choose any category, then click the show all button, I don't get all, just the "new" ones ... never more than about 97 or so. searching the same category in iTunes for just iPad apps will almost always yield far more choices. for example I can only see about 97 utilities for the iPad from my iPad app store, but in iTunes there are 260 choices. They aren't iPhone apps either. Another example, if I show the games category on the iPad I can only see 27 New and Noteworthy apps, and 24 What's hot apps. No more. In iTunes I have an additional option of a subcategory, for example Action, there are 200 games released for iPad since March 31st available in that one category.
Not sure if I have a preference set wrong, it's just a bug, or if someone just wasn't thinking. Mayabe it's a bandwidth thing, but at least give me the subcategories or let me see the "next" 50.

Why should I be forced to use iTunes to see all of the apps? The iPad app store should see everything just like iTunes.. This isn't an iPhone.
At least the link is some what helpful although quite slow going back and forth to app store to get details.

I can only see some of the info (e.g. the email Facebook gives you) for some friends in Contacts. I can see everything for others. Their b-days aren't listed in my Contacts (but these friends have their B-days on their profile on FB). Can anyone help?

I can only see some of the information of my Facebook friends in my Contacts. For example, a friend has a birthday today. I received an email that she and another friend have birthdays this week. I received a notification on my iPhone and iPad that her birthday was today. It was never displayed in my Notification Center or Calendar beforhand, like it's displayed for other friend's (for other friends, it's displayed in the Notification Center, with the Calendar icon, 1 day before). I looked at every setting I could think of and the Help pages on Facebook. Nothing is working. My friend with the birthday today has her birthday openly listed on her Profile information on her Facebook page. In my contacts, her Facebook email (the one Facebook assigns you when you join) is listed. However her picture and birthday are not listed. I displayed my Facebook Contacts only, and roughly 20 showed up and not the rest. It's like the devices are not recognizing those people and putting their information in the respective places. I have an iPad 3rd Gen, iPhone 5, and MacBook Pro (purchased in January 2013. I hope that helps) and ALL the software updates are current. Can anyone help? Also, my MacBook cannot access my Contacts from Yahoo. Despite my typing in the correct password repeatedly as well as deleting and adding the Yahoo account again. Your phone might be on Zoom somehow, try just the simple "gestures" fix
Double tap with 3 fingers on the screen, then drag down. That should at least zoom out. If that does not work, try scrolling through the screen, but using 3 fingers instead of 1.
From there you should be able to access Settings>General>Accessibility>Zoom>OFF

Numbers doesn't have pages. It has a canvas that holds objects such as tables and charts.
Drag the objects from the bottom of the canvas onto the white space above. That will reduce the number of "pages" (sheets of paper) that will print.

Does any music show in the Purchased tab on the iTunes store app on your phone ? Music can't be re-downloaded in all countries, and even where it can be it will only appear whilst it remains in the store. Do you have your purchases on your computer and/or on a backup of your puchases so that you can sync them to your phone ?

If you select a mailbox, you should get an Edit button (easier to see in landscape mode). Clicking the button will provide you with check circles for the messages. You also get Delete and Move buttons at the bottom. Check the messages you want to move and then navigate to the mailbox you want to drop them into. I think as long as you can navigate to a mailbox you can move the messages to it.
In the Mac Mail application and probably Outlook on the Windows side, you also setup rules to move messages to specific mailboxes. If the mailboxes are stored on the server, then you can have the sorting done on the server and they should appear that way on the iPad. If your later messages do not show up, you may need to have the iPad app pulled down more messages until they are all showing.

Yes I tried that. I finally turned off all home sharing settings, shut down my desktop and found them in my account settings in the store on the cloud. So at that point I just had it download everything. But I suspect that with the ipad somehow being on, the store was saying I had already received them? I have two iMacs, an iPhone, and an iPad. All use the same email address but the new iMac would only let me set up the email account as an imap account. On this iMac I can only see three weeks worth of emails. On the other iMac, iPhone, and iPad, this email address is set up as a pop account and I can see emails as far back as three years. I use Yosemite on the new iMac and I cannot find out how to change the settings to let me see more than three weeks worth of emails. This is an att&t email account which is basically a Yahoo account.

Nope. It will reset all settings. For fix errors.
Or you can try Logging out and Restart your iPad and Sign in again.

You never know when a hard drive or a directory might go bad. Having a bootable clone is a must.

If you aren't backed up, try buying those tools first, before attempting to repair the directory.

HELP, please! My photos have disappeared from iPhoto library & I can only see them on the screensaver.

Firstly, I should say we haven't updated/installed/deleted anything. I just opened iPhoto yesterday and first it told me it couldn't open up without specifying a library, but then it seemed our library has just disappeared. I then created a new library as, I have to admit, me & my DH are complete tecno dummies, but that didn't help much. The only thing which we have done in the past couple of days is set up the screensaver to play our photos. So now we can only see the photos on that - I'm presuming that means they haven't been completely lost (?) but am in a panic as we've got no back-up (three years worth of photos!).
When I go on 'system preferences' (hope that's the correct translation, our computer's using Italian) and the screensaver, I can see 'picture folder' where all the photos are but I can't find that anywhere else on the computer.
Also, I read other threads about similar probs & tried launching iPhoto pressing down 'option & control' but that didn't help me out either.
We also spent half an hour on the phone to the Apple helpline here in Italy (yes, that's a charged call) to try and understand what's gone wrong and the advisor just kept telling us she didn't know how to help us out 'cause our Mac is an old model
Apologies in advance for my complete ignorance about how to solve this problem but I'd be really grateful if someone out there could shed some light on what's happened.

when you say to go to my Pictures Folder, do you mean to go on Finder, then Pictures, then look at the iPhoto library?
Yes. Is there more than one there?
The material in your screensaver are cached images. They cannot be recovered and soon they will go way.
If you have deleted your Library (and it sounds like you have done this, accidentally) the you have deleted your Photos and you need to restore from your back up.
