Having problem while installing adobe after effects cs5.5. When i click on SETUP.exe, A adobe installer dialoge box appears, its complete but than nothing happens. I installed after affects before too,but like this problem never happens.Please guide me to overcome this problem.

You need to provide much more info about your system. Not much point to just saying that something doesn't work. Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and try another install. If it still doesn't work, provide the install logs.

You probably have a corrupt preference file, specifically 'systemuiserver.plist'. But there are potentially two of them, so ...
In "/Users/<yourname>/Library/Preferences", delete com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
In "/Users/<yourname>/Library/Preferences/ByHost", delete com.apple.systemuiserver.xxx.plist where 'xxx' is a 12 digit (hexadecimal) numeric string.
Then log out and back in again. You may need to go to System Preferences to put back the menu items you need to display.
If this alone doesn't work, you may need to delete your caches, so repeat the above and then:
In "/Users/<yourname>/Library/Caches", delete everything. Again, you need to log out and back in.

it doesn't offer a choice. maybe it installs both, but the only one that's showing in the Programs list is the 32-bit.
I've worked out how to fix the problems I had - here's what I had to do:
manually find the .exe in the 64-bit Programs directory and create a shortcut to that
hack the registry so that CC is recognised as a valid "open with" program (by manually editing 'CS6' to 'CC' according to some instructions I found on another site)
delete CS6
then install my plug-ins, manually.
The whole process is way messier than it needs to be, and none of this is documented on the Adobe site.

Making a slide show and can only see the top 1/4 of the bottem line of photos in the project. help?

I am working with beat markers and it was going along fine until suddenly everything went awry. I dropped in a bunch of photos and the last photo assigned itself a time of over 3 minutes. Beat markers are at less than 1 second. I have removed the beat markers for the photos I want to remove, in order to try again. When I try to delete the 3 minute picture the entire project loses its beat markers AND on top of all of that, I can only see the top 1/4 of the pics in the bottom line of the project. I've tried several work arounds and can't fix this. Anyone have suggestions?

Can only see New apps in iPad app store

Seems kind of pointless to search for apps on the iPad app store, when it will only show you the "new" ones. When I choose any category, then click the show all button, I don't get all, just the "new" ones ... never more than about 97 or so. searching the same category in iTunes for just iPad apps will almost always yield far more choices. for example I can only see about 97 utilities for the iPad from my iPad app store, but in iTunes there are 260 choices. They aren't iPhone apps either. Another example, if I show the games category on the iPad I can only see 27 New and Noteworthy apps, and 24 What's hot apps. No more. In iTunes I have an additional option of a subcategory, for example Action, there are 200 games released for iPad since March 31st available in that one category.
Not sure if I have a preference set wrong, it's just a bug, or if someone just wasn't thinking. Mayabe it's a bandwidth thing, but at least give me the subcategories or let me see the "next" 50.

Why should I be forced to use iTunes to see all of the apps? The iPad app store should see everything just like iTunes.. This isn't an iPhone.

I can only see some of the info (e.g. the email Facebook gives you) for some friends in Contacts. I can see everything for others. Their b-days aren't listed in my Contacts (but these friends have their B-days on their profile on FB). Can anyone help?

I can only see some of the information of my Facebook friends in my Contacts. For example, a friend has a birthday today. I received an email that she and another friend have birthdays this week. I received a notification on my iPhone and iPad that her birthday was today. It was never displayed in my Notification Center or Calendar beforhand, like it's displayed for other friend's (for other friends, it's displayed in the Notification Center, with the Calendar icon, 1 day before). I looked at every setting I could think of and the Help pages on Facebook. Nothing is working. My friend with the birthday today has her birthday openly listed on her Profile information on her Facebook page. In my contacts, her Facebook email (the one Facebook assigns you when you join) is listed. However her picture and birthday are not listed. I displayed my Facebook Contacts only, and roughly 20 showed up and not the rest. It's like the devices are not recognizing those people and putting their information in the respective places. I have an iPad 3rd Gen, iPhone 5, and MacBook Pro (purchased in January 2013. I hope that helps) and ALL the software updates are current. Can anyone help? Also, my MacBook cannot access my Contacts from Yahoo. Despite my typing in the correct password repeatedly as well as deleting and adding the Yahoo account again. I can only see three weeks of emails on the imap email account on my iMac even though the same email address set up as a pop account on my iPhone, iPad and another iMac show all my emails. How do I change the setting to see more emails?

I have two iMacs, an iPhone, and an iPad. All use the same email address but the new iMac would only let me set up the email account as an imap account. On this iMac I can only see three weeks worth of emails. On the other iMac, iPhone, and iPad, this email address is set up as a pop account and I can see emails as far back as three years. I use Yosemite on the new iMac and I cannot find out how to change the settings to let me see more than three weeks worth of emails. This is an att&t email account which is basically a Yahoo account.

HELP, please! My photos have disappeared from iPhoto library & I can only see them on the screensaver.

Firstly, I should say we haven't updated/installed/deleted anything. I just opened iPhoto yesterday and first it told me it couldn't open up without specifying a library, but then it seemed our library has just disappeared. I then created a new library as, I have to admit, me & my DH are complete tecno dummies, but that didn't help much. The only thing which we have done in the past couple of days is set up the screensaver to play our photos. So now we can only see the photos on that - I'm presuming that means they haven't been completely lost (?) but am in a panic as we've got no back-up (three years worth of photos!).
When I go on 'system preferences' (hope that's the correct translation, our computer's using Italian) and the screensaver, I can see 'picture folder' where all the photos are but I can't find that anywhere else on the computer.
Also, I read other threads about similar probs & tried launching iPhoto pressing down 'option & control' but that didn't help me out either.
We also spent half an hour on the phone to the Apple helpline here in Italy (yes, that's a charged call) to try and understand what's gone wrong and the advisor just kept telling us she didn't know how to help us out 'cause our Mac is an old model

when you say to go to my Pictures Folder, do you mean to go on Finder, then Pictures, then look at the iPhoto library?

The material in your screensaver are cached images. They cannot be recovered and soon they will go way.
If you have deleted your Library (and it sounds like you have done this, accidentally) the you have deleted your Photos and you need to restore from your back up.

I previously owned an iPad. I want to restore my iBook collection from my iPad to my Macbook. I can only see my collections but not the books. How can I restore it from my iPad backup?

I prevsiouly owned an Ipad. Before selling it, I backup it on my Macbook. When the new Mavericks has been released, i upgraded my Mac. Now that I have iBooks on my Mac, I want to restore my iBook collection from my previous Ipad to my Mac. On my Mac, I can only see the iBooks collection of my previous iPad but not the books that I have purchased. I probably had more than a hundred books on my collection (in epub and pdf formats). I have already tried transferring purchases in iTunes and adding to my Library but to no avail.
Can anyone give me a solution to this.

Restore as a NEW device to test. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

My ATV3 has worked beautifully for the last week. We woke up this morning to find this problem. Nothing weird happened over night - my entire network has been up all night with no resets or anything strange.
The ATV3 accessing all of my Home Sharing content, so I know the network is fine (wired). Tried resetting and cycling power. Tried changing locations/setting language. Nothing. I even tried resetting my DSL Router, but to no avail.
I've got nothing fancy going on with my location, short of being in Canada.
Update: Oh, and I have a 2nd ATV3 downstairs, also on a wired connection. Just found out that it, too, is exhibiting the same error. Although, I'd left it in 'iTunes Match' last night and the first thing I saw when I started it up was "Error: iTunes is Unavailable. Please try again later". Plugged my old Popcorn Hour in and it, at least, is working fine.

Third party app can only see but not use library after current update

An application that has been using the iTunes library to play music from play lists can no longer read and use the library but can only see the library. This is happening since running the iTunes update to 12. I have corrected the problem by reloading maverick and loading music into iTunes after a fresh install. The app works again with a fresh mavericks install. So, now what is the order of operations to backdate to an earlier version of iTunes? My library can no longer be read by the mavericks install as it has been updated by iTunes 12.
I am using an external drive FYI.
I was thinking I would use the mavericks install and create a new library on the external and move the music folder to the same directory and then add the whole directory. Then one by one import the play lists.
I don't know what to do about the artwork directory? Do I move it and replace the same folder in the new mavericks library directory? Will the above process complicate the assignments?
If apple reads this... The version update that did away with coverflow was the beginning of iTunes decline. It wasn't broke. It was close enough to perfect as a library management tool. You should make the next version closer to that one.

I had a similar problem when trying to install Zinio.air. I have made it all work out. What i did was remove Adobe Air 15 entirely from the Utiliites and Library/ accounts and preferences. I then downloaded Adobe Air 13 and installed and then clicked on Zinio .air and it all installed ok. I also had to temporarily change security settings from Apple approved to Anywhere. All functioning now.

Help please, I can only see outlines when I use the shape tool in CS5 ?

When I open action script 2 or 3 in CS5, and draw a rectangle or any shape, I can only see outlines? The problem IS NOT the outlines button that is in the layers palet as I have changed this many times and it has mad no difference and the problem IS NOT because I have selected no fill or colour for the shape.

I've learned something new since that posting you point to that might help--it has the same effect as using the outline tool on the layer, but globally. In the main menu select View -> Preview Mode -> and anything except Outlines.
