I can only upload changes bit by bit

1/ background -
    I have my computer fixed recently. The windows has been re-installed
    and I have finished re-installing all softwares
2/ I have a (bad ?) habit uploading the whole web to the remote server periodically
    choosing '' delete remote files not on local drive ''
    The synchronize box finally showed all files for '' PUT '' action
    I then pressed OK. The action was completed after a long time (many files)
==> but the changes did not appear on my web
3/ My findings :
* at the left hand side (Remote server), it shows all my folders plus
    2 folders '' public_html '' & '' www '' .
    Each of them contains the same contents : all my folders
* in order to upload changes successfully, Now ,I must drag the copy of the file from my local server
    to the public_html folder and replace the correspondent file
QUESTION 1 - what is the problem ?
                    2 - in above point 2, , where did those changes go ?

What Nancy said. Your website files must be uploaded to the public_html folder on the server for the world to see them. You should not see the public_html folder in your Remote Server view in DW - just the files and folders inside it.
This should have been explained in the welcome email sent to you by your web hosting company.
Where the screenshot in Nancy's post shows Root Directory: htdocs/, your must be Root Directory: public_html.

the booting and walking away and then attempting to browse and clean method is what i've been trying to do. it won't let me drag and drop and just freezes up and goes to sleep after 2 minutes. it's a never ending battle with very few results. which is why i questioned the method of just restoring the hd from a time machine backup.
do you think restoring the hd from time machine will resolve the issue with all pics on the desktop? and everything will be as it was from the date i restore it from? sorry, as you can tell, i'm not overly computer savvy.
i have a really old desktop mac...i can try connecting the two...how does one boot a mac in 'target mode'?
as for the iphoto cleaning and organizing issue...that is what i was trying to accomplish with importing them to a folder. was going to browse and clean from there...but somehow imported to desktop which is what's complicating everything. once i get them off the desktop i can work on the iphoto issue...which as i mentioned...i didn't take 45,000 pics...i've just taken about 4,500 over the last few years, and they are being duplicated in iphoto. this was my attempt to clean it out entirely and start over. it will basically be a lot of deleting.
one problem, seems to lead me to more...which is just my luck. :-)

As per the number ranges limit values defined in the system for the planned orders, there is a need to increase the number ranges.
System is not allowing us to change the limit values of the Planned orders in MD91 and showing the Message no. NR651.
We have also searched for the available threads in SCN and other sites, but didn't find the root cuase link for this error.
System message:
Lower limit can only be changed during initial entry
Message no. NR651
Diagnosis
You have tried to change the lower limit of an interval which has a non-initial number status.
System Response
The change was not executed.
Please guide us how can we increase the number ranges for planned orders.

You can create a new number range or change in transaction OMi2 or in MD91.
Assign the 02 by clicking number range in OMi2
or in transaction OPPQ click on number range & select the 02.
Do the changes as described and analyse the results. Ensure that while testing no body is creating the planned orders.

DVD Regional Codes can only be changed 5 times? Why?

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro in the U.S. and brought it to Japan where I currently reside. I have DVD's from the states that I want to watch along with DVD's that can be rented here in Japan. When I inserted a DVD into the drive from Japan with a regional code of 2, I was informed that the regional codes can only be changed 5 times and on the 5th time, that code becomes permanent. What is up with that? And is there any way to switch back and forth between various regions without a limit? I don't understand.

This is to stop people circumventing the region code system by simply changing the region code of their DVD player. In my opinion, this is an "anti-piracy" measure that does more to annoy people than it does to stop piracy.
With all other computer drives, you can actually change them 25 times; after every fifth time though, you have to take it to a dealer to have it reset. Apple don't allow this and limit you to five times. After the fifth time, they will not reset it, and you are stuck with it. I would only change it if I moved somewhere with a different region code.
VLC can function as a multi-region DVD player on some drives, allowing you to play disks from any region, regardless of the region coding of your player. It works on my iMac, so I would imagine that there is a good chance it will function as such on your MacBook Pro.

Password can only be changed once

Suddenly on our system users can only change their password once. That means:
1) Administrator creates account in WGM with OpenDirectory-Password "xxx1".
2) User can login with password "xxx1"
3) User changes password to "xxx2".
4) User can login with password "xxx2"
5) Some time later user changes password again, this time to "xxx3".
6) User cannot login with the new password "xxx3", but he can still login with the old password "xxx2"!!!
7) Administrator changes password in WGM to "xxx3".
8) User can still not login with password "xxx3", only the old password "xxx2" works!
9) The only way to change the password at this time, is to delete the user in WGM and recreate it with the new password.
We suspect that it has something to do with Kerberos. If the user tries after step 6) (from above) to get a Kerberos ticket using /System/Library/CoreServices/Kerberos.app, he can only get a ticket using the new password "xxx3"!
So for us it looks like the OpenDirectory- and Kerberos-Passwords are somehow getting out of sync.
Our configuration:
Server: 10.4.7 (PPC)
Clients: 10.4.7 and 10.4.9 (both PPC)

Everytime I try to watch a video or load pictures on a site it tells me I have to download Adobe FlashPlayer. I do it every time but then can only upload one picture at time. If I want to load more pics 5 min later I would have to do it again Why?

Icon can only be changed by root

Well, i have a problem i cannot solve : my Hard Disk has two partitions and and i cannot paste anything for the first one's icon. paste seems to work but nothing happens.
All other icons can be changed.
Any user can remove custom icon from this partition, but only root can paste a new one...
I have repaired permissions, verified disk, empty all caches, etc using applejack and even Tiger Cache Cleaner.
Nothing works !
One more thing : i have a local Network and when i connect to another computer using a login and a password (ie christine / pass ) then the window gives me the choice between then HD and christine_HomeDir instead of christine. This happens even with root account...
I can't understand why these two things don' t work fine.

I have a copy of my résumé on my phone and want to apply for a job online. The website has an upload button but all that does is take me to my photos and using copy/paste removes all formatting.

You can only upload images to websites through the browser. Not possible to upload other file types.

I have all but given up on the android store, the mindset on there is to never pay for anything. "All apps should be free" is the general mentality of an android market user. At first I thought it was just the attitude of an android user but after having decent success on the Amazon App Store and great success on the NOOK store I just think its the market and the no review system, its hard to get noticed with all the junk apps floating around and all the users expecting everything to be free.
As a side question to the original poster or anyone to whom this may pertain, why do people make quality, ad free apps? I dont get it, whats in it for them other than good vibes from the users? I understand free ad powered apps, and free lite apps but I can never figure out why people will use their talents and time to make an app thats totally free and has no ads? Anyone?

so the last MP3 player i had wouldnt let me upload from more than one computer. so when? i got a new computer, i got screwed because it wouldnt let me upload any more music onto my player, unless i deleted everything that was already on my player. I just bought a Creative Zen V for my little brother for christmas, and i thought it would be cool if i uploaded some music on it for him so when he opens it, he can listen to it. but i didnt want to do that if he can only upload from one computer. if anyone knows, let me know! thanks!!

ERROR: jbd can only store block numbers in 32 bits. /dev/sdb1 can hold 4739825648 blocks which overflows this limit. If you have a new enough Ocfs2 with JBD2 support, you can try formatting with the "-Jblock64" option to turn on support for this size block device.
Otherwise, consider increasing the block size or decreasing the device size.
If I add the -Jblock64 option works, but dunno how can affect the performance of the cluster disk. By the way, block Size cannot be increased since 4096 is the maximum allowed.
[root@vmserver08 ~]# mkfs.ocfs2 -F -b 16k -Tdatafiles -N10 /dev/sdb1
mkfs.ocfs2: Specify a blocksize between 512 and 4096 in powers of 2
As far as I know, by default with block size = 4K you should be able to format a 16TB partition, am I wrong?

it doesn't offer a choice. maybe it installs both, but the only one that's showing in the Programs list is the 32-bit.
I've worked out how to fix the problems I had - here's what I had to do:
manually find the .exe in the 64-bit Programs directory and create a shortcut to that
hack the registry so that CC is recognised as a valid "open with" program (by manually editing 'CS6' to 'CC' according to some instructions I found on another site)
delete CS6
then install my plug-ins, manually.
The whole process is way messier than it needs to be, and none of this is documented on the Adobe site.

Previous versions of Firefox were only 32 bit, Firefox 4 for the Mac contains 32 and 64 bit versions. If you want to always start Firefox in 32 bit mode, open up Finder and go to the Applications folder. Control-click the Firefox app and click "Get Info", then select the "Open in 32-bit mode" option.
