I can open every folder except one.

So I can open every folder without a problem but then I try to open one and Bridge crashes. I've tried deleting and adding it back in but that didn't work. Any advice would be great!

Try creating a new folder (use your computer system for this) and copy or move the contents of the problem folder to this new one.
It can be a permission problem for that folder or just a corrupted folder, it happens sometimes.

This is a very strange problem, and one that has started today but is already driving me mad. I'm on BT Infinity Broadband, using a BT homehub, and have done for a while now... So far it's been fine until today.
Every aspect of my internet connection is fine - I can get and send emails, use skype, and view websites through every browser...But all of a sudden I can't visit one particular website anymore? It just times out every single time and wont let me on. It's definitely not the website becuase all my colleagues can go on there, and if i turn off my wifi on my iphone I can get to it on 3G also, so the problem is definitely in the router or something to do with my settings here. I've tried on my Macbook on Chrome, Safari and Firefox, and also on my Powermac on the same three browsers.
It's vital that I get back online becuase as luck would have it, my job is updating the blog on this one site I can't access, so any help from anyone at all would be very much appreciated. Here's the site in question: www.4downdistribution.com/v3

it's unlikely that any settings have changed in the router - have you tried deleting the cache/history/temp internet files and see if that help

Create a test file with Text Edit (or any other program) and save it to your desktop.
Run Time Machine from the menu bar.
When the Time Machine icon in the menu bar stops spinning, drag your test file to the trash.

WRT110 works for every website except ONE after login, help please

I have a WRT110 version 1.0
It works for every website, except one. And it works for that one website just fine, until I login. When I enter my username/password it accepts it then redirects me to the companies landing page. I can see that because the URL loading changes and it shows the Title in the page which indicates it connected, but then it just sits there 'loading', in the status bar I see the message: "Waiting for tools.domain.com... to load" or something like that. and it takes like 5 to 10 minutes, no joke, then it loads.
If I connect my computer directly to the modem and bypass the router, then it loads just fine, very fast like everything else.
But then when I re-connect my router and refresh the page, it does it again, takes forever, but I can instanly see the title of the page in the title bar.
It works on every computer that I connect trough the mobile hotspot on my 4G verizon phone. but if it is through the router, every computer takes 5 to 10 minutes. Literrally.
Anyone have this happen to them? If so, how did you fix it?

Try the following settings:
# Open up the browser on the desktop and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page…
# Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page)
# Then click on Security tab disable SPI Firewall Protection, uncheck Filter Anonymous Internet Requests...
Now check the connectivity status.

Can a in me web.xml file specify that a filter should be used for every request except one.
I can write;

<filter-name>MyFilter</filter-name>
<url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>
to use it on every request. But how do I exclude one specific resource that shouldn't go though the filter.
I know that this may not be exactly the right forum but i'm really lost. I appreciate all suggestion.

This is the right forum, but unforutanetly you cannot exclude some urls.
I would suggest you handle that logic in the filter itself.

I frequently have to open a folder that may contain dozens of other folders which also need opening.
It can be quite boring clicking every disclosure triangle.
Is there a quick way to open them all automatically, so that all the contents of the original folder are displayed?
Just as important, is there a way of closing all the folders afterwards?

I can get every OS except mavericks??? Why???

We want to upgrade one of our iMacs from 10.6.8 to 10.9.0, but the installer is nowhere to be found. I can buy every OS up to 10.8 and get Yosemite for free, but I can't get Mavericks at all???

I can send text msgs to every contact except one

So I can send text messages to all of my friends just fine; however, I can't send text messages to my gf! I can receive her texts but she can't receive the ones I send. She used to be able to receive them. I'm going to contact AT&T very soon, but I was wondering if anyone else has this problem?
I called apple today and they recommended a soft reset and updating the firmware. I tried both to no avail. Any help? Should I delete and re-add her as a contact.

I wish it was that easy. Apple said to do a "soft" reset which is just turning the phone off then on. Another solution was to update the firmware which I have been doing. Either way it hasn't worked.
update: So I even restored as the other customer service woman said, and still nothing. I have absolutely no idea. I would only find it really weird if I couldn't call her plus text. Another more feedback is still appreciated.

Browses can open all websites except youtube

Whatever safari or chrome or firefox, can't open youtube, but any other websites. I've updated the flash, use shift+restart to perform internal repair operation, check my DNS that all are gray. Still don't help. Any one can help me? Many thanks.

Try a different DNS sever...
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.

Enter these addresses exactly as you see them here.

if that doesn't help, open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Try uninstalling Flash then reinstall > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed before reinstalling new.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
For Safari ... check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

Macbook can find every network except my own (iPhone,PC and other device can)

I used to have long hair, but now it's short from me trying to wrap my head around this problem..
My new Macbook Pro have decided to ignore my router and it's driving me nuts!
My iPhone 3gs, PC, Xbox360, 3DS, Printer and Wii are all connected to the router.
The Macbook Pro could earlier connect, but than it suddenly decided that no matter what name, visable or non-visable, password protection or no passward-at-all, or any setting at the router I can possebly try, nothing works, every device EXEPT the bloody fricking Macbook can find and connect.
I hade a friend over to have him try with his own Macbook Pro, AND IT FRICKING finds,connects and the whole deal...
What is wrong with my Macbook and what should I do to fix it?
PS. It connects to the network i have set up at both my mother, father and friends... It ONLY ignores my own home router, that it has been connected to most before....

I seem to have solved it by deleating my saved networkkeys, deleating com.apple.softwareupdate.plsit, restarted router and laptop after every action I tried and finaly connect to another randome unknown open network close to my bulding, And like magic my router name suddenly appeard in the network list....
Somehow I don't feel satisfied with this "solution".... -.-"

Import from Desktop opens every folder and file on desktop?

This started yesterday after upgrading to Mavericks 10.9.5
Because my desktop is always cluttered I have a couple of folders on it where I dump everything.
As well as numerous odd items I have folders with hundreds of photos nestling inside these 2 desktop folders.
Yesterday I had a movie file on my desktop which I wanted to import into FCP X, so I opened the Import window and selected Desktop.
Instead of seeing a couple of folders and the video, it appeared that my 2 folders had been opened and all the contents including the hundreds of photos were all being displayed.
Trashing the preferences cured it but today on launching FCP X the problem has returned.
This only seems to happen when I open the Desktop . . . it's as though the Import window doesn't see any folders, just the hundreds of files inside them, as though they were all displayed on the desktop.
Any solutions?

Thanks for the suggestion Luis, but I don't think it's that.
The folders were called Desktop 1 and Desktop 2 and had been there for months with no problems.
Suspecting that the names may be a problem I changed them yesterday to Tidy 1 and Tidy 2 but this had no effect.
Trashing the preferences seemed to cure it but when I relaunched FCP X this morning the problem had returned.
I'm wondering whether something in the latest Mavericks update is causing it.
Or is there a setting somewhere that makes the contents of all the desktop folders visible automatically?
Note that it doesn't import all the files, it just lists them in the import window making it very difficult to find a particular one.

Hello Linc and Eric thanks for your help.I had a think in my sleep and came up with the following.
If I accessed a few days back in my history files the website in question then it should work as this was before my problem.
This worked so I have mow circumvented whatever it was in the (Router/modem/internet section of Imac) that is causing the issue.
So will keep this in mind and continue to get rid of problem but at least I have a work around.

Disable every node except one

Hi, I building a game on javafx. At some point I need to ask some questions (for example "Sure to quit Y/N") I bring up a Node at the top of others with 2 buttons, but I need to disable everything at the bottom (many other controls, images, text inputs, etc...). So my question is if there's a easy way to disable everything except that "Popup" node, otherwise, how do you manage to "ask things" in javafx as a popup?

I am not sure if this is the best way, but a simple method is to put a transparent (or slightly tinted) pane over the whole scene, blocking all events, and the "dialog" over it.
