I can open Firefox, but then can't click on anything, not even the minimize/maximize buttons.

I can get Firefox to open and sometimes even browse properly for a few moments, but then I can't click on anything. Or, more accurately, I will click but then nothing happens. I can't even exit out of Firefox, because when I click on the minimize/maximize buttons or the red x, nothing happens. I then have to exit using ctrl/alt/delete, but the task handler even then claims that Firefox is running properly. I ctrl/alt/delete my way out anyway.
I've done everything I can think of. I've checked for updates, run CCleaner, defragged, run disk cleanup, and checked for malware. This persists in happening, but only in Firefox, not in IE.
I should mention I'm on a Dell laptop.

Oh thank you for posting on how to enter safe browsing! I had tried to disable add-ons, but couldn't make anything click to do so. So frustrating!
Anyway, after putting on the safe browsing, it worked *immediately*, so clearly the add-ons were the issue! I deleted a bunch I don't use anyway, and it's been working fine for hours.

I can open itunes but then it does not respond

I can open itunes and it opens right up. Then i get the blue loading circle for like 5 minutes then after it just freezes. It doesent respond to being clicked on in the taskbar or clicking a song. It doesent crash its just not responsive? I have windows 7. Also i signed in on another account and it worked just fine just had no music on it. I have two external HDs, I plugged both in my iMac. I can open both but I can't copy or move from one to the other any help?

I assume your External HDDs are formatted in NTFS. With this format OSX can see files and copy from but cant copy or move to those devices. You need to install any third party software to enable both way copy/move feature. You can use TUXERA NTFS in OSX. It is fantastic software to solve your problem.

I just loaded the latest update 3.6 and when I open Firefox it freezes if I click on anything. Help

Mozilla Firefox flashed that an updated version of Firefox was available so I selected to update. It went through the update process without any errors. Now when I open Firefox and select any action, Firefox freezes and shortly displays Program not responding.

Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

I cant download anything not even the updates. Is the problem firefox or my computer.

I try to download click potatoe or bearshare or even the updates needed for firefox and they wont download.

I read on another discussion that sucking air out of the headphone slot works, I tried it and guess what, it worked.......weired....apparently something to do with moisture accumulation....!!!!!!

How or where can I find the Outlook mail that is located in the folder on my desktop? I can open it but when I double click, it just makes up an email to be sent with the attachment.

Apple moved my Outlook from my PC over to the MAC and it is now on my desktop but I cannot open it. I click on the folder and when opened it has two folders, one for each of my email accounts and when I click on the one I want, it just makes a new email to be sent. I even dragged it to the download folder and that did not good.
It will also ask me to use another program to open it. I click on Mail and again it makes another email. HELP!!! I have tons of emails that I need to keep tract of my work. Any help would be wonderful.

I just opened Firefox for the first time in a couple of weeks and am experiencing the same problem. I see my Gmail inbox briefly before being redirected to the calendar. Clicking the back button produces the same result.

"program access and defaults" is not the place to remove programs in Windows. You need to go to the control panel and click on Add and Remove programs. For instructions on how to uninstall Firefox, see [[Uninstalling Firefox]]
