My phone rings but I cannot hear anything when I answer it. I can also make a call but don't hear it ringing, or anything when it is answered. Can anyone help please?

Contact Apple or AT&T. You probably have an issue with the "cell radio" in the device. They most likely will replace it, so back it up before you take it in.

Then that means that the user that you are trying to reach has not setup and registered Messages on their iDevice. They have to set it up first before you can reach them. And you can only message with other iOS users, not with Android devices or other cell phones.

I just bought an iPhone and successfully transferred my existing Cingular number/service and synced everything up with no problems, but I can't seem to make phone calls. I successfully made two calls, but I've tried at least 20 times with no success. Nothing at all happens. It says on the phone that it's calling, but I can't hear a thing. Try powering down the phone and then turning it back on. Could be the towers are not picking it up properly, lots of times the connection is not picking up the phone correctly. worked for me for a couple different phones.

VOIP can receive calls but can't start any

implementing VOIP on cisco3662 with 1 NM-HDV-30 and VWIC-1MFT-E1, when show voice port summary ,all the port are idle and dorm, when initial a call, the show voice port summary display that the port status is clearbk , and have not any tone, and about 1 minute, the call disconnect , when the other side call in , I can receive and works well,
when I debug voice ccapi inout debug cch323 h225, call out only display two lines messages, without the number who take the call
but call in display a lot of message with the calling number

It sounds like we need to change your outgoing mail server. I can help but I have a few questions first.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
