I can receive texts from one contact but when I reply she does not receive the text. It does not say delivered when the text is sent but does not say that it has not been sent.

One of my long standing contacts cannot receive texts from me. I can see them from her. We both have iPhones . We have been texting for years.
My outgoing message is sent as iMessage and stays blue. It does not say delivered but it does not say that it has been unable to send.

amyhs, thanks for those details. This is certainly quite odd that this has been going on so long and we definitely want to get to the bottom of this. Now, you stated that you have reached out to technical support and spoke with a tier two technical support representative. At this time, what actions or troubleshooting steps were taken? Are you aware if a ticket with our network technicians was ever created? As well, have you ever previously had an iPhone and are you aware if the users that are unable to message you are using iMessage?

Can I Copy and Paste text from one Contact to Another on iPhone 3G?
Or even better while the iPhone is connected to my PC can I view the address book on the iPhone and make changes using my PC keyboard?
I had a challenge importing from my outlook as it created dual entries for people I had with multiple email addresses or telephone numbers so I need to copy and paste contact info from one to antoher.
Can anyone help?

No. You would make changes to the address book on your PC and then sync via iTunes.

Not receiving messages from one contact

After updating my iPhone 5 to ios8, i haven't been receiving iMessages from one of my contacts in either group messages or individual messages. He has an iPhone 4 with ios7 and can see the messages i send him but when he sends a message back I do not receive it. I tried restarting my phone, turning iMessage on and off, and resetting my network connections and nothing has helped. Any ideas?

Can you delete all the text from one contact?

I have a BB curve 8330 from Verizon.. Lets say I text 10 people and I want to delete the texts from just one of those contacts.. Can I do a mass delete with out getting rid of all the other texts with out having to delete them one at a time?

two ways :
1)
home screen >> Search application
do a search by name (use menu to select the person in your Contacts)
uncheck everything except "Messages". "Messages include email, SMS, MMS (and maybe some other types)
---> you get all the messages from/to that specific person.
2)
home screen >> Contacts application
view the contact, open menu and select "View Activity"
---> you get all the messages & calls from/to that specific person.

Blackberry Messenger: Cannot receive message from one contact only

I have been using Blackberry messenger since a few months ago. It has been working fine until 3 weeks ago that it stopped working with only one of my contacts:
I message with my friend every day and out of the blue one day I can't receive any messages from him anymore, and all the messages I send to him would only turn to "d" status even he's read them already (and he'd appear as away on my contact list with a little clock next to the smiley... messages never turn to "R").
My handheld is on a BES and his isn't. I am in the US and he is in Europe. Not sure if that's the reason... but I have other contacts that are either on or not on the same BES and there's no problem with them. He also has contacts that are in the US as well and doesn't have any problem with them either...
We have tried battery pull, shortening name, deleting and re-adding and no luck.

From one contact, can receive imessage, can only send text.

My buddy has had a personal iphone for some time. All works well. He got a work iphone today. Added his contact. When he texts me,it comes through as an iMessage perfectly. When I reply to him it only goes as a text. I send and received iMessages all day along. Also he is able to iMessage his other contacts to and from without a problem.
What could this be? I tried to reboot, turn imessage on and off, deleted the thread, created a separate contact for his work phone.

No. You would make changes to the address book on your PC and then sync via iTunes.

Is there any way i can receive a text from one number and reply to another on the same conversation?

I have a friend who has 2 phone numbers, he sends texts from one and i have to reply to the other one.
Is there any way i can configure the SMS conversation so: it receives texts from his 1st number and when i reply it goes to the 2nd number?

I don't think it is possible to do what your friend is asking.
He would need to call his phone carrier.

Random iMessages disappeared from one contact

My home wifi stopped working so I turned off the imessage option to so my regular texts would send more quickly. However, when I turned the iMessage function back on, it continually says that it's attempting to activate yet I am able to send iMessages. Then I realized that most of my iMessages from one contact have disappeared. All that remains are 'some' regular texts...and some messages which I know were iMessages but they are showing in green as if they were regular text messages. Any idea why select texts from one contact have disappeared...and if they will come back once I manage to get my phone to indicates that it has reactived the iMessage function (though I know iMessages are sending already)?

My phone is now indicating that iMessage function is activiated but the iMessages described above are still gone

Hi I have 3 artboards open and am trying to move text from one artboard to another, each piece of text is on a different layer, but when I use the selection tool and just drag it across to the next artboard, nothing shows up. How do I move text from one artboard to another? Thanks

Dont worry I now have it sussed. I just needed to move the layers up in the stacking order.

I can send SMS texts to one contact, but not MMS.

I have sent picture texts to one contact daily for months. Now all of a sudden I can send SMS easily, but the pictures are not delivere. I have a Windows phone also, and I have no problem sending her pictures from that phone.
i I have tried deleting the phone number and re entering it, and also deleting and recreating the contact.
I Have also deleted all existing threads.

I can receive a text from a contact but cannot send to them- both are iPhone with IOS 7

I can receive a text from one of my contacts but when I send a text back, the text is not delivered. We both have updated iPhone 4s phones. Neither of us is blocking and we were able to text both ways until one of us made some changes due to a son's iPod being added -then tried to change back- still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Not receiving texts from iPhone contacts when I'm not connected to wifi or cell data. I can't send and receive regular SMS texts with non iMessage users but iMessage users message are not being converted to text when I don't have internet connect

I can send and receive to any non iPhone user. I can send a message as a text to an iPhone user but if I'm not connected to cellular data or wifi I do not receive messages from iPhone contacts. From what I understand these message should automatically send to me as texts instead of iMessages but since the update it's not functioning properly. Please help. I've tried turning iMessage off and I still don't receive the messages until after I reconnect to wifi.

I have the same problem! Before the upgrade, if I wasn't connected to the internet, any messages sent to me from an iphone would convert automatically to a text message. I have payg tarriff, so I turn cell data off, as it costs too much to use it. I have wifi at home and work, but if I'm out and about, I don't receive texts from iphone users until I'm on wifi. I get them ok from non iphone users. There was never any problem until ios7

My 4s will not notify me of a text from one specific contact?

All of sudden last night I stopped getting audio notifications of texts from one of my contacts, the most important one! The alert comes on the screen, but I have a ringtone assigned to this contact that is a song so I know who it is if my phone is not right in my hand. Worked great until last night. I have checked all settings, Airplane Mode, Do Not Disturb, his contact settings, etc. and I can't seem to figure out what the issue is? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Recently started not receiving texts from one person - AT&T user, also HTC One

I recently started not receiving texts from one person. He also has an HTC One (older model) but has AT&T as his provider. We were texting back and forth last Friday morning (11/8) and then he called me and ever since then I have not received a single text he has sent. He is receiving all of mine and we can receive phone calls back and forth, but his text messages are not coming through. We have both tried restarting our phones and I have also tried deleting him as a contact and recreating it however nothing works. I checked to make sure he was not blocked (which I knew wasn't the case since I could receive phone calls from him as well), and even tried turning the "block contact" on and back off. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. Right now we are using work arounds with google-talk and facebook messenger but it's very frustrated for me to not receive any of the texts that his phone is saying I am receiving.
It had started sporadically over the past few weeks where I would miss a text from him every once in awhile, but now I am receiving nothing. He is the only one that I am having this issue with as I have texted back and forth with multiple others the past few days with no issues.

Hi! I'm also having the same problem. I have an iphone 5 & one person (who also has an iphone 5 but has AT&T as a provider). We had been able to send & receive phone calls & texts until mid-November. Now, we can both give & receive phone calls from each other and she receives my texts, however, I DON"T receive hers. In fact, if I'm in a group text message with her, I don't receive any of the texts that include her, even though I can give/receive texts individually from the others in the group message. The other two in the group message CAN receive both her texts & mine. This is so strange - I was left out of a whole thread of text messages & none of us knew it. They thought they were including me (nothing bounced back) & I didn't know I wasn't receiving them. Since her texting works with both of the others, I'm concluding the problem must be with my phone. Do I have an incorrect setting? I'm not sure what could have happened. PLEASE help!
