Try Command 1, Command 2 or Command 3. Or, under the Window dropdown menu, select File Browser, Library or Inspector. If that doesn't work, try removing Motion's plist. From your user account home folder go to Library/Preferences/com.apple.motion.plist, and delete it.

I can see the Express in the WiFi window but from the Airport Utility I get the following message: " This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station. Apple has dropped support in Mavericks (10.9) of the AirPort Express and AirPort Extreme models that were discontinued more than six years ago.
You can still administer the older AirPort models if you have a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC.

On Windows I can see the free space of my partitions, but I can't see on the OS X

I don't remember why, I had a 10 gb partition, so I deleted it for add in another partition, but it disappeared from my Disk Utility. So I entered on my Windows through bootcamp and on the Disk Management I can see the 10 gb partition as Unallocated. The last time I resized the partitions through Windows, I lost the Mac partition, and now I can't use the bootcamp assistant to delete Windows.
How can I delete it and take the both partition on the mac partition again ?

I hate the new downloads-in-a-tab scheme. This was an unnecessary change in my book (if it aint broke, don't "fix it").
So in order to get it back, I performed the about:config browser.download.useToolkitUI change, but now all I get is a blank download window that pops up every time I download something.
Is there something else that I need to do? I've checked the change and it was saved, but it didn't resolve my issue as much as it just caused me a new issue.

I would like to use time Machine to back up to a network SMB drive. I can see the drive on my desktop but it will not show in the time machine window to be able to select it

I currently have a mini server (OSX10.8.5, server 2.2.2) that I am using Time Machine to back up 4 external drives that are connected to the server via firewire 800. I would like to use Time Machine to back up to a windows network SMB drive. I can see the drive on my desktop but it will not show in the time machine window to be able to select it for use.

The supported targets for Time Machine backups are local (direct-connected) disks, and network targets include Time Capsule, a disk hanging off the current-generation AirPort (though not earlier AirPort devices), and OS X Server systems.
The Time Machine storage is based on the HFS+ file system, so I would not expect TM to work with SMB file services.
While there are hacks to allow Time Machine to access network drives, I would not consider those to be reliable. Skim the forum and the 'net for related details, and for previous discussions of setting this up and the related issues that can arise.
Remember to test the recovery with whatever you decide to use; whole point of backups is the ability to restore the data, after all.

I have 3,500 photos on my MacBook that I would like to copy to my Windows 7 PC. The PC CAN "see" the MacBook on the wi-fi network but I can't find the picture files through that route on the MacBook.

I took 3500 pictures with an iPhone 5 and a Canon Ixus camera whil on holiday in China. I downloaded them onto my MacBook every day.
Now we're back home I want to back them up onto my Windows 7 PC as it has a 1 TB HDD.
My PC and MacBook can see each other over the wi-fi network (the PC has an Ethernet connection to the wifi router) and the MacBook can copy files from the PC but not vice versa although the PC can "see" the MacBook - just not copy or transfer any files.
Also when I look for the jpegs for my holiday pics I can't find them on the MacBook though they open happily in iPhoto. When I look in my iPhoto library it seems to have (among other things) an XML file as a database but no actual jpegs. There are some jpegs on the MacBook but these are from photos I transferred from the PC before I out the 1TB HDD in.
Where are the actual photos stored and how can I transfer them to the PC over the wifi network?

(1)    Adobe Type Manager (ATM) is not compatible with any version of Windows beyond Windows XP (32-bit, only). Attempting to install ATM on any newer version of Windows may actually disable Window's capability of rendering Type 1 and OpenType CFF fonts, requiring a reinstallation of Windows.
(2)    There is no need to use ATM to install any fonts under Windows.
(3)    The file name ._DIN-bold is indicative of a MacOS font. These fonts cannot be installed on Windows systems.

I have an 11" Macbook Air. When I use Garageband it opens in a window so large that the bottom corner is not accessible so I can't decrease the window so that I can see the top and bottom of the window at the same time. Any suggestions?

You can reduce the window by grabbing any edge or corner. You don't have to use the bottom right anymore.
You could also temporarily move the dock to the left/right so you can reach the bottom.

The closest I know is assigning "Move focus to the menu bar" in the Preferences a keyboard shortcut and then navigating with the arrow keys (letters may also work to highlight, but not to expand in and of themselves once the focus is on the menu bar).

I movie won't import video from my sony xr150. I can see the video in the window when I connect the camera but when I select import, I get the spinning circle of doom.

my brand new mac pro wont download movies on imovie. I connect my sony XR150 and I can see the clips in the imovie window but when I select import, I get the spinning circle of doom. Very disappointing. I just moved from a PC because Mac's were supposed to be much better handling media.

If Image Capture can recognize your camera and allow you to upload the stills and videos to a folder on the Desktop that's what I would do. Then you can import those files into iPhoto, FCP or iMovie as you want.

I can't see the EXS window

I'm trying to create a sampler instrument in Logic Pro 9 complete installation.
I start a project with a software instrument and select the EXS24 as Input... But I can't see the EXS window. All the instructions I have found so far tell me the next step is to click Edit in the top left of the EXS window... but I can't see how to make it appear.

My Windows PC iTunes doesn't see my two Apple TV2's (in the speaker button in lower right of iTunes), I believe this problem began when my PC's McAfee AV subscription expired. My computer has internet connection thru router and my ATVs have internet connection thru same router so it's not a networking issue. My iPad can see the ATVs but it can't see iTunes so the problem appears to be PC/iTunes related. I turned the PC's firewall off but no joy. I uninstalled the expired McAfee and still no joy. Reboot = no joy. Glass of scotch = no joy. Need help!!

Wanted to add that I turned on Home Sharing w/the same account in iTunes and ATVs. And I've successfully streamed music/photos to my ATVs for over a year.
