I can see through iTunes

This is very strange- iTunes opens and works but the white background isn't there-- so that when I open it, whatever is behind it (my desktop background, navigator window, anything) becomes the background for my iTunes. The iTunes type shows up against this background and if I try to navigate on iTunes, the type starts to layer up, but if I minimize and then re-maximize the window, the text will be single layer again, but still with no background. My song player thing at top and burn/browse button also do not show up, but I can use them by clicking on the place where they should be. I can use my pull down menus and normal windows open for those. I have no idea what to do- it makes using iTunes nearly impossible!!

i've seen one case of this transparency thing where the problem turned out to be that the copy of DirectX on the PC wasn't up-to-date. it's also worth checking the drivers on your video card.
although this particular KB doc is on sound problems, it contains some useful links on DirectX and upgrading the drivers on your PC:

Finally achieved my fix by changing channels on my Billlion router to 11, and not letting the ATV sleep. Give it a try, I spent a good four frustrating weeks until I did this.

It's like i can see through the screen

I was looking at my macbook from afar -- on sleep mode -- and then I recognize a hazy lighter circle slightly off center from the screen. It turns out to be the apple logo on the back of the screen. Either it's really showing on the darkened screen or I have xray vision.
I have a vague idea of what's causing this, and the very simple explanation could be that the apple logo allows for a more translucent area on the macbook which allows light to pass through.
I'd just like to confirm if this is normal, a defect, or my fault and something I should worry about. Thanks.

This is normal.
The logo on the back is simply lit by a shaped hole through which the LCD panel's backlight escapes backwards. If you shine light into the logo it passes through the backlight diffuser and through the front of the screen. Hence, you can "see" the logo through the screen under the right lighting conditions.

I was wondering if it's at all possible to read the description of videos that you have on your iPod Touch 4th or 5th Generation. It's available on iTunes, but I was wondering if there was a way to see it on your actual device.

You can omit the title altogether in the URL (together with the succeeding slash, of course). For example, my own podcast URL in the Store is

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

IMac receives message "Cannot connect to Apple TV" - Apple TV can see iTunes library and can mirror with iPhone.

Hi all.
I have an iMac (mid 2011) running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and an apple TV that my little brother just gave me (I believe it's 3rd gen from serial #).
I can successfully mirror my iPhone 4S with AirPlay, and the Apple TV can see the iTunes lib from my iMac, but when I attempt to connect to the Apple TV from the icon in the tool bar it gives me the message "Could not connect to Apple TV."
Spent some time on the phone with a really super tech, he had me go through the paces with restarting the router, the apple TV, my iMac, checked all the network config etc - no dice.
I even reinstalled OS X.... still no dice.
Has anyone experienced this issue?
The second tech who called me back thought it might be hardware related. I brought this iMac in for a new hard drive less than a year ago after it randomly began throwing kernel panics and finally it just wouldn't boot. I don't do very much with my computer so it's kind of odd that it would have these issues unless there is something fundamentally wrong with the way it was put together. It doesn't take any abuse - not like my macbook!

Had my iMac taken in - RAM replaced & video card replaced. Able to mirror in the store. Restored my iMac with time machine backup and restored apple TV. Still getting the same message. Could it be some network setting I'm overlooking? I tried it while the apple TV was connected via ethernet as well - no dice.

I don't see my iTunes library when I'm selecting background music for a slideshow -- I have tried using iphoto help (seee below) and it didn't work:

I have this problem also - tried following advice giving from original problem.
My settings are through the what I call the Lug Nut icon - no arrows and no dimple showing on my screen.
Is there some small thing I'm missing here - weird thing is that iDVD allows me to access my iTunes library - no problem.
When I go to Finder it tells it can't find my Music folder??? I can see it in the sidebar .....
Any suggestions - I don't know how to send those screen shots but what a great idea.

Now all the usual tabs seem to be missing and there is no reference to photos anywhere I can see on iTunes. There is a slight difference between how you sync in iTunes 11 vs iTunes 12. Take a look at the article below to look for your iPad in iTunes and then select the Photos tab to then sync your photos over.

Itunes cannot see the itunes music folder on my external hard drive

I recently put all of my music on an external hard drive to free up space on my computer,
However, when I am in itunes and trying to point the library to the music folder, itunes still cannot see it. Instead all it can see is the E drive WD Passport, and folders named autorun, WD Sync Data Wd Windows Tools.
Can anyone tell me how I can see my itunes music folder on my external hard drive while I am in preferences, advanced, library location, change??

Create a see through opening in an object ???

How do I create an opening that I can see through in a solid object? For instance, if I created the letter "O", what do I need to do to be able to see through the inside of the "O". I do not want the inside of the "O" to be solid or filled. I want to be able to see the background instead.
