I can't accept my family share invitation

When I open my family share invitation it tells me to click on view now to accept the invite. I do this and am redirected to a page that gives me the same instructions. How do I accept the invite?

I do not believe you can on ipod touch that you use, since it is not compatible with ios 8.

  • Family share invitation with no accept or decline buttons

I have sent a family share invitation to my husband and the invitation he received has no accept or decline button. Why?

Usually, that would mean that he is not running ios 8 or already belongs to other family.

  • Family Share invitations it takes me to the iCloud sign in page, not the invitations tab.

When clicking the Family Share invitations it takes me to the iCloud sign in page.  How can I get to the iCloud>Invitations area?

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Jkirk11,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with Family Sharing. If you are having issues adding family members to your Family Sharing group because they don't appear to be receiving the invites, you may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful. In particular, if the family members are present, you can actually add them directly on your device by having them enter their Apple ID:

  • Someone created an account with my email, I can't accept a family invite due to country not matching

My email was already in use when I went to accept a family invitation.  Someone else had used my email as my name is Laura, username was Lauren and birth date is different.  I reset the password and updated my details, however I am still unable to accept the invitation as it says my country is different than my husbands, both USA.  In account overview, my country says "us" husbands says "US" in caps.   I tried to reset the country by signing up for spotify premium and entering US payment details, but then I was still unable to accept my husband's invitation.  Please help.  Thanks.

cKuan you din't understand, and please note its not a second hand device ,and even the apple says that the account @aple.com was not verified . Birth date is taking correctly and 1 answer is correct.
i have a simple question for you if i create an email account with apple id it needs to be verified ? right ! unless i don't verify my account i should not have access to my i cloud account and activate find my ipod.
Please not she was not aware about the email account that she needs to provide gmail or yahoo id instead she directly put used P****@aple.com and the id got created.
    Thanks,

  • Trouble with viewing family share invite on email??

I am the family share manager and i sent out 2 invites to family members.  they were not able to open the invite on the email.  Has anyone ran into this problem???

A bit different, I've been sending and resending the invitations under Family Sharing but none of my kids nor wife have yet to receive a single invitation yet to attempt and open and accept ??  Had zero issues updating to Yosemite and IOS 8 across all my devices but family sharing I am spinning my wheels going nowhere.   Docs said they can accept actual email or by invite showing up in family sharing under iCloud in System Preferences.  Try the other...

  • Can someone explain the Family Share plan pricing to me?

    Hi all,
I am considering switching from AT+T to Verizon, so am trying to sort out pricing before I switch.  I currently have a plan with 4 phones on AT+T with 3000 anytime minutes, unlimited within network, unlimited nights+weekends, and unlimited texting, plus different data plans per phone.
It looks like I would have to do 2000 minutes with Verizon, which is fine, since I don't really hit that as long as there is friends+family and nights+weekends.
But what I can't figure out is the pricing. It says Monthly Account Access (voice for the first 2 lines) is 99.98.  Then 9.99 for each additional line after that.  Does that mean it is 99.98 for EACH of the first 2 phones, so 199.96 for 2 phones, plus 9.99 and 9.99 (19.98 total) for the other two phones, making it 219.94 for 4 phones?  Or does it mean that it is 99.98 TOTAL for the first 2 phones, plus 19.98 for the other two, so 111.96 total for the 4 phones?  Because the second way makes Verizon somewhat cheaper than my AT+T plan, which is good since I am losing some minutes (not to mention an unlimited data plan for 2 phones).  But the first way makes Verizon much more expensive than my AT+T plan, which would be a strong discouragement against switching.
Also, just to confirm, the $30 unlimited texting is for ALL the phones, not per phone, correct?
Thanks for any help!  I know I could call, but I would prefer to get all my facts straight before I start really hashing this all out.

For the 2000 minute plan, you would pay $99.98 per month for the 1st 2 lines, and then $9.99 for each line after that per month up to 5 phones on the plan. (Actually, $80 for the plan, plus $9.99 for each of the 2 phones) So, it looks to me like it would be $99.98 for the 1st 2 phones, and then $19.98 for the next 2 phones, so you would have a voice plan charge of $119.96 per month, and of course, there are the taxes and surcharges that always accompany the service. As far as your minutes, with the 2000 minutes plan, all Verizon to Verizon calls are free, and you can list 10 numbers in your Friends and Family ring that you can call that would not count against your minutes. You also have unlimited nights and weekends, but I am not sure of the start and end times of it.
You are also correct in regards to the messaging, it is $30 / month for unlimited texting from any phone in the family share plan. NOT per phone.
I have the Nationwide Talk and Text plan with 700 Minutes, and my bill runs me $80 plus $9.99 for each line per month and that gives me of course, 700 minutes of voice, and unlimited messages with the phones. This does not include any data plan charges, plus taxes and fees.
Hope this helps.. This is my info on it, I do not work for Verizon, and would check with them to make 100% sure.

  • Why is there a limit on the number of times you can attempt to join Family Share?

I attempted to join Family Share yesterday but it did not seem to work on either my phone or iPad, which I updated to iOS8.  I tried to do it twice, both times unsuccessfully, when I attempted to do it a third time I was locked out of joining Family Share using my Apple ID for a year!  Why is there a restriction?

Region encoding is the mechanism that enables motion picture studios to control the worldwide release of their movies. It is required by the DVD Forum (http://www.dvdforum.org/forum.shtml) in all commercial hardware DVD players. Every DVD-Video disc contains one byte of data representing a region code, which limits where the disc can be played.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2397
Once you have set the region in DVD Player five times it cannot be changed.
Instead, use VLC to view videos from different regions:

  • Can i manage my family share from any device

i set up family share from my wife's mac. but when I try to access family share in iCloud on my iPad or iPhone it asks me to setup the family share. Then it tells me that my apple id is already part of a family.

It should work normally. It might help to update all the devices to the newest softwares (IOS 8.1.2 and OS X Yosemite 10.10.1). If this doesn't work, it might simply be that only the maker of the family share can access the files (your wife's mac).

  • Why can't I find family share in iCloud settings

Recently got two new iPhones for my teenagers.  Now I want to set up Family Share.  I've looked at the instructions for how to do this repeatedly - am directed to go to iCloud settings and set this up there.  However, there is nothing that links to Family Share set up in iCloud options.

Hard to say, as you provide almost no information..  I would guess that you are looking in the wrong place.

  • Family Share - does not give me the option to accept

I have created family share on my ipad and emailed an invite to my 9 year old son. He does not have an apple account because he is too young. I want him to accept the family share invite but he can not unless I log in with my apple account. If I do this it says I am the organiser!!  Now my sons ipad thinks he is me and when he adds games to his they appear on mine!!
Please help!!  What do I do ?

    Hello Caroline,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're setting up Family Sharing so your son can download items from the App Store.
Since your son is 9 years old, you need to create an Apple ID for him using the steps in this article:
Family Sharing and Apple IDs for kids - Apple Support
You will be able to add this new Apple ID to the iPad your son uses.
    All the best,
    Jeremy
