  • Upgraded to lion can't access microsoft word!! help?

upgraded to lion and can't acces microsoft word for mac/get PowerPc applications are no longer supported. help?

Rosetta is not included in Lion, Rosetta was required to run PPC based apps. If you want to continue using Word in Lion you will need to upgrade to Office for Mac 2011. If you have other PPC based apps you will also have to upgrade those to apps that are designed to run on Intel based Macs.

  • Microsoft apps is not available in nokia suite.

    Hello,
I have a nokia C7. I did a soft reset by dialing *#7370#. Everything went smoothly with no problems.
Then I noticed it's missing microsoft office apps. I connected it to my PC and launched nokia suite but it didn't show up in the update section.
How can I get microsoft apps back on my phone?

Have you looked in Nokia Store? http://store.ovi.com/content/263699

  • Microsoft Apps update not available for Nokia 701

From nokia conversations website, I could see that MIcrosoft Apps is available for Nokia 701 (http://conversations.nokia.com/2012/04/10/get-microsoft-office-for-symbian/) post Belle FP1 update. But I am not able to get that update. I am from India. My product code is 059J7M4 (This is a new code that I got after taking my mobile to Nokia care for software update).

    Hi jobymanuel,
If the Nokia care point staff has changed your product code in repair, they should have changed it back to the original before handing it back to you. In this case please visit the Care point and ask them to change the product code back to the original. If they have replaced enough parts, or the whole device, so that the product code has been changed as well, then it's just not available for your device yet.
    Hope this helped!

  • How can i use microsoft office on the mAC - what app do i purchase? help?!!

how can i use microsoft office on the mAC - what app do i purchase? help?!!

What aspect of Microsoft Office? Office is a suite of programs... Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
You've got several potential options. Libre Office and Open Office (both googleable) are 'open source,' free, downloadable programmes that will open most MS Office programmes and perform many of the functions of MS Office. Might be an idea to have a look round for reviews (etc) first, to see if they sound like they'll match your needs.
If you're keen to use the App Store, there's Apple's own suite of programmes: Pages, Numbers and Keynote. They're a word processor, spreadsheet programme, and presentation-type programme with similar functions to Word, Excel and Powerpoint respectively. They're pretty good for most functions, and are better integrated with Macs than MS programmes. They're excellent programmes for what they do, and relatively cheap (about £14 each?).
But if you're heavily reliant on MS, want ALL the bells and whistles of MS, or need to regularly transfer files between MS programmes on other computers and your laptop / desktop computer, then they might not be the best of ideas. Keynote - IME - can have some difficulties in transferring formatting to Powerpoint.
Finally, there's MS Office Mac 2011. You can't download MS Office from the App Store, but can order the CDs from most online stores (including Apple's own store). It might be worth price hunting - if you're a student, you can usually find the programmes relatively cheap (£38 at the moment on Software4Students, though you'll need to belong to an academic institution / have a UK .ac email address). Apple's own prices on MS software are unlikely to be the best prices out there (though the product will be identical).
MS Office includes Word, Excel and Powerpoint in the basic version. The slightly more expensive version (which, I think, is the £38 one on S4S) includes Outlook. Which - IME - is far more of a nuisance than Apple's native Mail programme.
(I should probably add - I'm an academic. I own both Apple's own programmes, and MS Office 2011. I tend to use the MS programmes more, if only because they're the ones that other people tend to use, and transferring between Apple and MS programmes is a minor inconvenience. Pages also lacks Garamond, my favourite work font. The Apple progs are, however, far more beautifully integrated, and would be MORE than good enough for most users...)

how can I use microsoft word, power point and those apps in my new iMac ? i bought this iMac yesterday so am new on tho and i would like to know

If you absolutely must have the Microsoft applications, you can purchase and download them from http://microsoft.com/mac.
Free software suites LibreOffice and OpenOffice offer similar functionality (word processing and spreadsheets).
Or you could do worse than look at Apple's Pages, Numbers and Keynote, which should already be installed in your Mac and can export to Microsoft formats if need be.

  • How can I get extensions to load in a Microsoft App-V environment?

I am trying to install Firefox 25.0.1 as a virtual application through Microsoft App-V. Everything works fine, until I attempt to install an extension. The extension installs, I can see it in the list of installed extensions, and I see the *.xpi file in the profile. However, the extension never loads when I restart the browser. Also, if I go to Extensions in the Add-ons Manager and click on Options, it freezes the entire browser. This behavior is consistent with any extension that I add. I have confirmed that these extensions work on an identical Windows 7 system where Firefox is installed as a standard application.
Note that App-V will allow changes to the user profile, which is why I can see the *.xpi files. App-V does not allow any modifications to the installation directory in Program Files. When an extension is added, what gets modified in the Firefox directory in Program Files? Also, if there is a file that gets modified in the installation directory, is there a way to redirect that?

As far as I know and have seen over my years of testing Firefox, installing a addon does not modify any files in the Program Files installation directory.
Everything is saved in the individual Firefox profile.
Your problem sounds pretty unusual for sure. I'd recommend reading over these 2 guides in case there may be any tips that can help you figure this out. If I come across anything more helpful, I'll post it here.
    * http://stealthpuppy.com/prepare-mozilla-firefox-for-enterprise-deployment-and-virtualization/
    * http://stealthpuppy.com/sequencing-mozilla-firefox-with-app-v-5-x/
How exactly are you installing the addons? Sounds like you're placing the .xpi files directly into the Firefox profile folder. But you shouldn't be doing that.
Instead try putting the .xpi files into C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\extensions then start Firefox once. You should get a message asking if you want to install the addons, click yes and then Firefox will create a extensions folder in the Firefox profile folder and add the .xpi files there.
Or you could manually create a extensions folder in the firefox profile and place the .xpi files in there. That should work too.

  • Any free ipad app,so that I can open my Microsoft Word documents

Any free ipad app,so that I can open my Microsoft Word documents

Another one that just opened up yesterday is OnLive. Both OnLive and CloudOn are cloud-based - you're accessing a server to operate Windows programs and files remotely. There are drawback to it, compared to a full program on the iPad (storing your files remotely, requiring strong and constant internet connection), but since they are both free for now (OnLive will offer pay plans for more storage and features, I imagine CloudOn will do something similar) it can't hurt to try them. I'm downloading both and will give them a whirl.
I'm also hoping the rumors that MS is working on iPad versions of Office is true, although I imagine that just like the iWorks programs they'll have less features than the full versions.

How can I install Microsoft Silverlight. Is there an app for this?
Ipad does not recognise programms .dmg

You can't. Silverlight applications won't work on iOS devices.
.dmg files are typically Mac OS X disk image files, you can't run them on an iPad either.
