after i updated safari , i cant access Facebook & youtube.

It sounds like you are unable to load 2 websites in particular after updating Safari. I recommend trying the steps in the following article named:

Check your proxy settings

Use the latest version of Safari

I can't access Facebook on my Ipad via Safari after the 7.1.1. IOS update. I only get a blank page. I can access Facebook via a FB app, so it's not Facebook. I have restarted the Ipad ,cleared cookies and the history to no avail. What is wrong? This has never happened before.

Google has gotten more security conscience. Do you want others to read your email? VPN is a good thing.
When you try to access google without the vpn on, do you get an email from google saying that they have rejected your connection attempt from a client. There is a google parameter to allow email from an unsecure client. Google will send you an email telling you how to make the change, when they reject your email client. It's a hidden parameter.
A lot of folks have gotten hacked recently in the US, so companies are implementing more security.

How come I can't access Facebook with my gmail account?

Along with a couple other sites, I can't access Facebook with my gmail account. I'm on a mac, and even if I use different browsers (safari and google chrome), the page never opens. It consistently says "the connection was interrupted." I've tried everything, including allowing all cookies, deleting cookies, changing firewall settings, etc. However, it's not a problem on my Parallels (on the same computer). The weird thing is my friends with hotmail or yahoo facebook accounts can access the site. Help!

2 things i can think of...
First try delete the app and reinstalling it
second the new IOS 6 is going to have facebook on it and that might be why you cant get on to your account (not sure just a thought)

I can't access facebook or share to facebook from IG

I live in China but use a VPN at home. I have never had problems viewing facebook or sharing from Instagram on my iphone 4S but after I updated to ios 6 I am no longer able to do these things. It tells me that my connection has timed out or I have no connection to the internet. I have looked all through my settings to see if something was reset with the update but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

I just recently bought my mac two weeks ago but since two days ago it hasn't been able to access twitter nor facebook.I already tried using safari, google chrome or firefox but none of them could access it. It goes to connection time out everytime after I log in. I don't know what to do anymore. I already tried updating the software but no luck.

After Mountain Lion update, i can't access Facebook and Hotmail websites

When I was with the OSX Lion, everything was fine.
After Mountain Lion update, i can't open Facebook and Hotmail websites.
I already reinstalled the Mountain Lion, but the error still happens. The only way to open these websites is with the private navigation.
Please, help me.

From your Safari menu bar (top of your screen) click Safari > Preferernces then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If you still have problems with Facebook, go to the Facebook page then click the downward facing arrow to the right of Home then click Account Settings.
Select Security on the left then click Secure Browsing.
Select the box next to: Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) when possiblle then click Save Changes.

Can´t access Facebook on my new MacBook Pro

Hello. Yesterday I got a new MacBook Pro. First, I updated it to OS X 10.7.5 and everything works just fine, except that I can´t load Facebook, safari shows a message saying it can´t connect to server. I tried installing other browsers like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox but the same thing happens. The problem also happens with Twitter, every other website loads correctly.
I searched for Facebook in Google, and clicked on the first result which was Facebook in Spanish. https://es-es.facebook.com/ The log in page showed correctly. Then I tried typing my user name and password and clicking enter to log in and it stops working. The same message apears (safari can´t connect to server) with this url adress https://www.facebook.com/login.php?login_attempt=1.
Maybe this has to do with the fact that my MacBook is configurated in Spanish since I live in Latin America. I changed my language to English and the same thing happened but with Facebook from UK with the adress https://en-gb.facebook.com/ I still couldn´t log in.
I think it could be a DNS issue, but I don´t know how to fix it.
I would appreciate any type of help since I´m really excited with this new MacBook and I would really like to solve this problem. Thank you!!

Can't access facebook from mac osx

I have reviewed support and found postings with this problem, but have been unable to rectify my problem.
Last night I tried to log in at facebook and was redirected to a webpage that said I was blocked and that
I should contact my network admin. I called my internet provider and they said it was not an issue at their
end, rather it must be something in my security settings. I have not made any changes in my settings.

I found a thread that instructed to go into certificates and delete the facebook certificate, however, I did not
find a facebook certificate. I also saw a thread where someone sadi this can happen when your date
and clock settings are incorrect. Mine are correct.

Thanks for assistance. I found the openDNS certificate, but do not know what to do. It shows as trusted. Just not savvy enough in this area to know what should be done. I went to my keychain access and clicked the repair. The repair returned a report showing some permissions were incorrect in my library/keychain acess and the next line shows those mistakes were corrected.
I hoped this corrected the problem, so shut down the computer and then turned back on. But, no...I am still blocked at facebook.
By the way, I do have parental controls but they are not on.

Can't access Facebook on ANY network after McAfee Web Gateway error

My office apparently uses McAfee Web Gateway to filter URLs on company Wi-Fi. I was unaware. So when attempting to connect to Facebook, I get a page loaded that tells me the URL is blocked (This is both through Safari and using the Facebook app). No big deal - there is public Wi-Fi also, which I had been using, but it is slow. But since that time, regardless of the network I connect to, I get the same error. I am looking for a way to find and delete the data that is causing this filter to remain active. Hopefully I can do this without having to do a restore of my device. BTW, Pinterest behaves the same way (seems it made the filter list). Other Apps seem to have access without issues. I can connect to both Facebook and Pinterest using cell service - so this is only a WiFi issue.

This has to do with your company and its regulations on wifi access. You can go into Safari and delete cookies and history. Otherwise, you may have to reset Network settings. That is found in Settings, General, Reset. This will reset all of your wifi settings and will require you to reenter all passwords. You have found what can happen when companies that provide wifi can control it. Generally their public wifi that you mention has reduced bandwith and thus slows down. I've seen this in a number of areas.

2. Reinstalling Lion OSX 10.8

From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server, so be prepared to restore the previous settings if that happens.
