I can't access Hotmail?

I don't know where this goes to, but my problem is that i can't access hotmail via my macbook laptop either using safari or firefox.
The problem lies in whenever i get to hotmail and login into my account. I can't seems to open the link to read my e-mails nor toggle between the inbox and junk box.
Apparently, javascript or something is the cause or is it something else?
Can anyone give any advice regarding this issue?

Can't access hotmail account from browsing, I tried to log into my hotmail account by visiting www.live.com and log into my account (add e-mail address and password) when sign in i get a message saying:There was a problem establishing asecure connection.( I get two tabs Details and Stop) I click on Detials I get another message saying: server Certificate Error. untrusted certificate,unable to determine the certificate origin, This has been disallowed by your administrator.. Ggggrrrr, i really hope that's wrong, i would also be moving away from BB sharpish if that's the case. Hoping someone cleverer than me can come up with a solution, the BB manual certainly doesn't help. Like the first poster I have tried getting vodafone to help and also hotmail, both without success.

Windows Live won't install on my mac. Can't Access Hotmail.

I have MSN as my home page and access my email there with a link to Hotmail. In the last few days, the site has been changed and now when I try to access Hotmail, I am redirected to a new window indicating that I need to subscribe to Windows Live. When I download the file, it disappears from my downloaded files and therfore I cannot install it. I can access my Hotmail through a regular PC and have not been asked on a PC to subscribe to Windows Live. So, it would seem the problems lies with the Macbook, but I'm not sure.
Can anyone assist me?

wait. i'm trying to download windows live and it won't even let me get to the web page, on safari or firefox.

I can't access hotmail or gmail. I get the message "unable to connect to the server". However I can access both msn and google main page and not problems with other sites. Any ideas of what to do?

The only think I've done recently is install a different antivirus program and uninstall the old one which had expired. Not sure if this is linked to the problem...?

Can't access Hotmail. Help!

Internet is working fine and have access to all other websites I've tried. On laptop and desktop, I get a "connection was reset" message when I try to get on hotmail. However, I can access hotmail through my mobile. I have already cleared cookies and cache, which hasn't helped.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Can not access Hotmail from my mac desktop all of a sudden

All of a sudden i cannot access hotmail from my desktop. I have recently returned from overseas. I verified my address on another computer in my house as it said it needed to confirm my location. Now i am trying to do same on my desktop and all i am getting is try again later or sign up for a new account. If you could advise that would be greatly appreciated.

Can't Access Hotmail of Xbox Live via Verizon DSL

Someone please help as this situation is now in its third day and no one has been able to help me. The Verizon customer service phone line keeps blaming Microsoft, and vice versa. The whole blame game is getting tedious.
Since Friday, Feb 3rd at approx 9pm I have not been able to sign into either my Hotmail of Xbox Live Accounts. Now let me be very clear, the password and logins are correct, but the browser continually times out and won't connect. I have been able to access my email via my work computer (10 miles away) so I know that the Hotmail servers aren't down. I can access the entire internet at home, just not hotmail. I can log into the Xbox website at home, but the console (which is plugged directly into the modem) times out when it tries to login.
I really just want to know that someone is looking into it. This problem seems to be affecting only Verizon DSL/FIOs customers in CA, who use hotmail of the Xbox live services. I'm just really tired of getting the run around.
To help here's what I've tried:
-Reloading and Resetting my internet browser
-Cleared cache and deleted cookies and temporary files
-Reset modem
-release/renew IP address
-contact Microsoft and Verizon (both have failed to address the issue properly)
-Accessed affected email through a different computer on a different network.
Please help.

I also thought it might be hepful to post a link to the Windows Live Solution Center forum where you can clearly see that it isn't just me. This is a systemic problem for Verizon DSL users in CA trying to access Hotmail and related Microsoft sites.
Connect the dots. This is not just an individual incident, this is a much larger outage that needs attention.

After I upgraded to Mavericks I was also having this message when I tried to update. There was a previous post about this problem which offered this simple solution which worked for me:

Got it! Thanx. What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed.

Can't access hotmail website on mac

I started to have a problem to access login site of hotmail last night after the 2 trouble-free years.The site 'hotmail.com' simply can't not be loaded properly. except blank page. No error message either. Have tried a few things: (1) clean caches (2) reset Safari (3) remove caches within Safari/preferences. None worked. Does anbody know an easy fix? Thanks.

TY & good guess but it's not a Flash site, & even if it was the iPhone will still open up the page and show you that "install Adobe" where the Flash content is supposed to be ... ::SIGH:: Seriously, you'd think that AT&T would make it easier for their own customers to be able to access their accounts from ANYWHERE!

Can't access hotmail- tried everything

Please can anyone help, am losing hope of ever accessing emails again. I have had the iPad 2 for about 3 months and successfully installed hotmail, complete with folders, contacts etc, using instructions I have seen here and elsewhere concerning m.hotmail.com as server etc. About a week ago I lost my sent items folder, then all my other folders and now the inbox! All I get is a message saying 'can't get mail, failure to access the server'. I have tried all kinds of things restarts, soft and hard, removing all items from inbox, reloading then trying again, resetting the account. Can anyone say what is wrong and have any suggestions on what I can do about it or where to get advice. I have had my email account for 20 years and can't face setting up a new email account when it should work on the iPad. Thanks.

Help - I transferred my entire 23,000 photo library from iPhoto 06 on a G4/Tiger to a 2009 Mac Pro running the current version of iPhoto. I used firewire with the G4 in target disk mode and manually transferred the files over. Seem to have transferred most of the photos well (though I need to investigate a number of photos in a new "Recovered" folder).
How did you do this? the porper way is to drag the iPhoto library as a single entity from the G4 to the MBP then launch iPhoto on the MBP
Now, on launching iPhoto 06 on the G4 I am told I somehow made changes to the photo library using the newer version of iPhoto.
Did you? if you dragged the library to the pictures folder of the new computer and launched iPhoto then you did not change your original library
Am I screwed (b/c the latest version of iPhoto requires Leopard, which won't run on my ancient G4)? How can I recover the ability to use iPhoto 2006 on the G4?
That depends on what happened - nothing you described would have modified your original library - is there more to tell?
You can try rebuilding the iPhoto 6 library using iPhoto library manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - it will create a totally new library so if it does not work you lose nothing

Make sure you change the password EVERYWHERE. Sometimes i forget to change it in SSL or whatever it is called . Anyways, i've tested iOS 5 and it includes Hotmail emails directly and iCloud emails, making everything a bit easier . Also syncs A LOT of things between your iDevices and computer. Like email accounts, emails and more. Http://icloud.com/ also has some nice features like emails, iWork sharing, photo's and more!

I emailed Microsofts MSN tech support about a week ago because I have the same problem (continuous refresh before returning to login page). They quickly responded saying they were aware of it, and would resolve it 'soon'.
I noticed that it all started when microsoft launched their new 'live login' service for passport, so I guess they have to do some post launch patch ups for us safari/mac users.

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar
