I can't access my bank of america online banking

I can't access my bank of America online banking. When I type in my online ID it says unable to process request.
== URL of affected sites ==
http://bankofamerica.com

New computer with Firefox 3.6.8 could not login to Bank. Used to work. The fix for me was deleting the bank's cookie. Got to Tools-Options-Privacy-Show Cookies-Remove your banks website and try the Login again. This worked for me.

Can't access my banking site past the identification page. I was getting a message in Firefox, that said "your security settings have changed.... (no they have not), and something about "resetting, Yes or No. I pressed yes, but still could not get in. I pressed NO, and the message has gone, but still can't access the bank. I can access through "Explorer, but not Firefox.

Nevermind, I figured it out myself

  • Suddenly can't access my bank's encrypted website

After downloading a handful of updates a week or so ago (not even sure if Safari was included), I'm now unable to access my bank's website. After about 2 minutes, I get a message stating that I need to upgrade to a browser with 128 bit encryption. Safari worked fine before on this site, and the bank's side states they haven't changed anything.
    Any ideas?

    I too had this issue.
PayPal is a bank to this is what they say...
PayPal warns its members to avoid using Safari when making transactions, since it has a distinct lack of protection against phishing – the act of coaxing a user to click on a false link on a false web page for malicious purposes.
First, understand that there are two issue being discussed, and they're not the same thing: (1) entering a secure transaction at a web site and (2) phishing, which requires clicking on an email link.
Safari is a secure web browser with strong encryption and is absolutely safe for transactions at sites like PayPal.
Phishing can only occur when you click on a link in an email, follow that link, and enter sensitive information on the resulting web page. If you do not click on links in emails and enter information at the resulting site, phishing attempts will not be successful.
I understand what PayPal and others are trying to do when they warn that Safari doesn't have protection from phishing. They're not wrong. But PayPal is really just aiming for the lowest common denominator (i.e. their most naive customers) and covering their own ... um ... behinds ... by handing out this advice. Their warning is only due to the risk that their customers will be caught by a phishing attempt, not based on any concerns about Safari as a secure browser.
The bottom line is that, yes, Safari doesn't warn of phishing attempts, but that doesn't mean it's not secure. It just means it doesn't protect you from yourself if you're foolish enough to click on a link in an email and then enter your sensitive information at the resulting site. If you get an email from a merchant or company with which you do business, close that email, open Safari (or any other browser with strong encryption), type in that merchant's web site address (or use your established bookmark to that merchant's site), log in, and proceed from there.

  • I can't access my bank account that I always could before

After I log into my bank account it gives me a page to request an access code number. I request a text from my cell and have always received it in the past. As of about a week ago when I request the code the screen just freezes and nothing happens. I have to close out Firefox and use something else, like Google Crome. I have never had any problems doing this in the past, and I can access most anything else using Firefox.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

  • I can not access my banks website with the new version of Firefox 3.6.15. Any ideas????

My bank website has been bookmarked for years and now I receive an error page when attempting to access the site.

Works on my Win 7 Pro 64 bit system, running FF 3.6.15
I do not recommend bookmarking any financial web sites. Manually type the address carefully is the best security practice. Never store passwords on your system unless they are encrypted with a strong password. Or you are telling the "bad guys" way too much if your system becomes compromised.
FF settings: Tools, Options, Privacy Tab, Exception Button, add
    http://www.frederickcountybank.com
web address and click Allow Button, ALSO check for any BLOCK settings. Click
close button, ok button and Test the results.
Check your security software settings, you may be blocking at that level, firewall and FF add-ons.

  • Can I access my iCloud email account online on my ipad?

    Hey,
I know i can access icloud on my 2nd generation ipad, but I want to access it through the browser only--not via mail. (The ipad belongs to my office, not me and so I do not want to download my personal email.)
Everytime I go to the browser and type in icloud.com/#mail it brings up a screen  leading me to directions for using Mail. I don't want to use mail. Anyway around this?
    Thanks.
    MaryAnne

Generally no, Safari mobile does not access icloud.com.  However, in the app  store, there are other browsers and some of these may be able to access icloud.com (according to some old posts).

  • Safari 1.3.2 - can't access Bank of America website

Since installing Safari 1.3.2 (and also the most recent security update) I can no longer access the Bank of America website. I had to switch over to Internet Explorer to get on there.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions !
Are you saying you cannot even load that website???
Simply accessing the site works fine for me . . .
But I didn't try to log in, as I do not have an account there.
    After doing the update,
    did you repair permissions?

  • I can't access Bank of America on-line banking on my Macbook and BOA says the problem is with my computer.  Please help.

I have tried, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. My Macbook is running 10.5.8.  I have cleared my cache, cookies and browsing and download history.  Sometimes I get so far as to be able to access my accounts page and then I can't access any other page on the site like on-line bill pay.  Mostly, nothing happens after I put in my user ID.  Sometimes I get an "error with the server," and sometimes I don't.  Sometimes one user ID gets me a little futher (to the passwords page) and sometimes it doesn't.  I've downloaded Adobe Shockwave Flash.  This is not happening with any other sites and my husband can access the BOA site with his computer using the same user Id's and passwords using the same internet connection I am using.  Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

The versions shown are the last ones available for Leopard.
Java 1.4.x is no longer supported, which is why it's off.
If you're still not getting functionality, try enabling it for a short time in case they're using old code.
The only other thing I can think of is that they're using later versions because of the security issues and may not be compatible, but I'm guessing there. (Lion was up to 1.6.0_35 I think - may be higher by now).
Time for someone with a deeper knowledge of Java than me.
I know we have a number of Java developers contributing to the forums, hopefully one will pick it up.
it may help to start a new thread specifically about the Java issue - that would be more likely to attract fresh attention.

can't access my online banking log in- plug in missing?

Access it or log into it? Try a different browser as a test.

  • Upgraded to ML. Can't access bank information.

I have a one-month old imac and just upgraded to Mountain Lion. Now I cannot access two of my bank accounts. I can get past the login and password but cannot access the data. Both banks use account management software that looks the same. I can try contacting the banks but hope there is an easier fix since my experience with both of them has been that they don't understand online accounts.

Rosetta is not included in Lion, Rosetta was required to run PPC based apps. If you want to continue using Word in Lion you will need to upgrade to Office for Mac 2011. If you have other PPC based apps you will also have to upgrade those to apps that are designed to run on Intel based Macs.

Please Apple experts, stop telling everyone to check apple support tips!!!
I just twitted with MANY users and iTunes store is not working in MANY European Countries, South America AND UK!!!
Trying to help people who can't access (or wont), Apple Discussions, but no one seems to be listening to this problem that's going on for days now.
Many users disconfigured their computers following Apple tips!!!!
ALL accesses are working in portable device, only MAC and WINDOWS computers can't access iTunes Store in iTunes, Apple Store is working.
    Please HELP!

When I downloaded album art this past week, it usually took till I imported another CD before it finally appeared for the previous CD. IF it appeared at all. EVERYTHING else requring a connection worked fine. Adobe update downloaded 127Mb this morning for Premiere CS6 in about 9 seconds. YouTube works with no lag. Videos on CNN play with no visible buffering. My connection is fine. EVERYTHING else works. Online or off. The iTunes store is the ONLY place I was having trouble, but even that's worked out since last weeked. I still contend this was Apples' glitch. It may have had to do with the freakin' festival they broadcast.

  • How can I once again access my bank electronically as I did w. IE?

I am no longer able to access my bank electronically, like I did with IE. The bank says Firefox' security controls are blocking me. Each time I try to log in I have to tell them to call me with an access code, or email the same request. I have tried to open up Firefox per their instructions, but nothing works. In short, Firefox is preventing me from safely using electronic banking or even records access.
In a similar vein my AOL browser no longer remembers my geographic info, so in each session I have to reset my zip code to get local info. Again, never any issue with I.E. for many years.
