I can't access my documents on pages!?

I can't access the documents at all!
They are all there with their names and are all displaying the ink bottle logo rather than their content like usual.
If you tap them they flash as if selected but nothing happens.
I assumed this was because I hadn't updated it, as Keynote is doing the same thing. I updated it and all that's changed is the colour and detail of the ink bottle logo on every page!
I need to access them as soon as possible, they won't even open on ICloud which only ever seems to display the loading wheel on my laptop...

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

It's highly unlikely that the Pages update problem has anything to do with the ARD client update, since the client is not involved in any way with Software Update. I'd suggest asking for assistance with the update problem in the forum appropriate for your version of Mac OS X.

I tried to access my novel on pages today and I am getting the following error code: The operation couldn’t be completed. (LibrarianErrorDomain error 1 - Unable to initiate item download.) Is this happening to anyone else? Is this an iCloud issue? Thanks

Found the problem, I previously accessed the same doc on my macbook, i guess it didn;t update to the server, so i went back to my macbook and was able to access the doc. saved it and went back to my mac and all was well and up to date

I have a JSP that receives an XML document from a JavaBean, so I can access it within the entire JSP, but I need to access it from the javascript inside the JSP... and I have no idea how i can do this.

The solution would only work on MS IE browsers, as other browsers do not support an XML DOM.
It can be done, but you would be stuck with using the Microsoft broswer. If that is acceptable, I have some example code, and a book recommendation.

Command-P (Print)
In the Print dialogue, click the PDF button at lower left, choose Mail PDF
The result should be a new email document with the pdf file attached.
Address and send.
The procedure applies to any document which may be printed, not just Pages documents.

Have you upgraded your iCloud account to iCloud Drive by upgrading your mobile devices to iOS8? Then you can only access the documents by upgrading the Macs to iCloud drive as well. See this link: iCloud Drive FAQ
If you did not upgrade any device to iCloud drive, don't do it right now.

What upgrade are you trying to install? Your profile shows iOS 5.1.1, which is the current max iOS.

Hi Judith,
Your Print button should be accessible, of course, but sometimes we can do things to confuse the system and we have to take some action to get out of that situation. This case sometimes arises if we change the resolution of our screen display since opening the app, or if we change the position of something that is set to "stay on top" of the display.
If the Dock is the problem right now, you could Hide it or Move it to a different edge of the display, to get it out of the way. Settings are in System Preferences, Personal, Dock. I usually have my Dock set to automatically Hide itself, so it's never in the way.
You could also try Saving, Closing and reopening Pages and see if that resets the location of the Print Dialog. Or, you could just hit Return rather than clicking on the button.

Regardless of application, the first step that I take is to save and name the current document — even if it has no content yet. With Pages, this good habit enables autosave. As you add content, your document revision history is restorable via the File Revert To menu. The delete key has the same document foreboding as only teaching a pet raven to speak "Nevermore."

Welcome to the Apple community.
Sure you can, just create the document in pages as you always do on your Mac, once it is complete, drag it to the Pages section at iCloud.com on your web browser. It will then sync to and be available in the list of documents when you open pages on your iPad.

It's very unlikely that the Pages program is corrupt. Corruption of the Pages preferences would be much more common & does not require reinstalling the program to fix. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences, delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist, empty the Trash & then restart Pages.

Pages 5 can not open Pages '08 files, you must first open and resave them in Pages '09.
Pages 5 may actually damage files opened from previous versions, proceed with caution and don'r save until you have checked them.
Read the reviews of Pages 5, it is not an upgrade as such, much more a downgrade.
