I can't access my emails. It tells me to go to settings, safari, Private Browser. I have no Private Browser. What can i do?
I can't access my email. It tells me to turn off my Private Browser. I follow directions and I have no Private Browser. What do I do ? Help!!!
I am guessing two things:
1. You are trying to access email in Safari (and not through the Mail app).
2. You are running iOS 7.
Go to the open pages screen in Safari (or the bookmarks screen). Tap the "Private" button to turn it off.

I can't use my yahoo mail. it says to turn private browsing off. it says to go to settings, safari, private browsing. mind dosen't have private browsing.
Make sure Private Browsing is off.
Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off. -

if the primary emailaddress is your current emailaddress, just go to iforgot.apple.com , enter your Apple ID and have a mail sent to you.
You can also try using the security questions if you can answer them correctly or call AppleCare for assistance.

I can't access Facebook on my I-Phone 4S. It says "Incorrect Email" and tells me to re-enter. I have over and over again and it won't let me connect.
2 things i can think of...
First try delete the app and reinstalling it
second the new IOS 6 is going to have facebook on it and that might be why you cant get on to your account (not sure just a thought) -
When I access my email from the iPhone, new messages appear only briefly and then immediately disappear, before I do anything. Only old messages that were already in my inbox are visible. I can't find the new messages anywhere -- they have not moved to Saved, Junk, Trash, anything. IT is like the iPhone just ate them. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
If you have a POP3 account this means that another "client" email program has retrieved the messages and deleted the messages from the server. You need to change the server settings on that device to leave the messages on the server.
If you have an IMAP or MS Exchange account this means that someone read the messages on another device and either deleted them or moved them to another folder. Or there is an automated script that moved them to another folder. -
.mac mail - I still use my .mac email address to access itunes, icloud, etc. Every once in a while, apple sends me confirmation, reservation, etc. emails to the .mac address. Can someone tell me how to access that email account?

Depending on when you originally set up your Apple ID, you may have @mac.com, @me.com, and @icloud.com email addresses associated with your account, but all mail sent to those addresses should still come in to the same iCloud account (you can test this to make sure by sending yourself emails at those addresses). How can I change my rescue email or get rid of it? I need to change my email under my apple ID to the email that is my rescue email. It won't allow me to have the same email. I only have one email address and can no longer access the email address under my apple ID
Welcome to the Apple community.
Once you have created a rescue address, you cannot delete it, nor can you change it to the same address as used by your ID. There are numerous providers you can get additional email addresses from, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Google etc etc. -
I can't access my email. I have joined iCloud. When I press mail I get a series of providers. I click iCloud. It asks for my Apple id and password. I provide these to be told this account already exists and I can get no further. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks Lawrence. I've spent over 3 hours on the phone/chatting to online support and none of it seemed to help as it all revolved around resetting emails etc but can't do any of it without my access to my old email. Now my phone won't take cloud because they advised to set up new apple ID and use that, but can't sign out of old one completely. Also doesn't help because my phone and laptop are set up on the old one. Thanks for the help.

The "Photos" view has been replaced by the Media Browser.
Most applications will show you the Photos icon in the Sidebar, when you need to select photos in a file chooser dialoge. Mail, Safari, the iWork apps. See Terence Devlin's User Tip: How to Access Files in iPhoto
For example, in the File > Open dialogue in Preview I am seeing this in the sidebar. -
When I purchased my I-phone 4 several years ago, our email service provider was Everest. We no longer use Everest and I can no longer access that email address, but my I-phone is still attached to that email address, so I can not unlock this I-phone. I have purchased a new I-phone and the same email address transferred to it when the information was transferred from my old phone to my new one. In order to trade my old phone in for the new one, I must be able to unlock the old phone, which I have been unable to do since the old email address is not available to me. Please help.
Having the email address is not necessary. It is just the username for the device. All you need is that Apple ID and password. Now, if you forgotten the password, then you have more work to do. Since that email is no longer active, you would need to send the reset to your rescue email, if you remember that. Or you will need to contact Apple Security for help.
